Great little spot to grab breakfast and enjoy outdoor seating with the dogs in Dunsmuir. The portions are generous. We could tell it was a good spot because the inside was packed with diners from the forestry service. We shared the breakfast burrito with chorizo and added avocado. The salsa on the side was very good too, gave it the right amount of kick. The meal lasted us until dinner time so it was good fuel for the day of adventuring to visit the local waterfall. read more

We had breakfast here and were really disappointed with the experience. The chilaquiles were extremely soggy--more like a bowl of tortilla soup than chilaquiles. The bacon was also very limp and lacked any crispness. We tried to return the chilaquiles because they simply weren't what we expected, but instead of being offered a solution, we were told that's just how they're made. The interaction left us feeling like the problem was somehow our fault rather than our feedback being acknowledged. Unfortunately, the food and the way our concerns were handled made this a disappointing breakfast. We expected better. read more

Great little breakfast stop in Dunsmuir, an old railroad town tucked in the canyon near Mt. Shasta. (City of Dunsmuir) Small, colorful spot with a local feel. I had the breakfast bagel with potatoes and my son and his wife had the veggie breakfast burrito. Everything was fresh and filling, and the side salsa was really good. Friendly service too. Traveling north from Redding we have stopped in this historic town numerous times. As of today we have locked in our new favorite spot to eat. Authentic Mexican food full of flavor cooked by someone who has obviously been doing it for decades. Our group of five all had different items and all agreed they were amazing. Friendly staff was helpful on the menu and even brought out the homemade hot sauce for us. Restaurant fits nicely into the historic town and has places to sit inside and outside. Threw a party for my wife's birthday, asked Irma to make tacos for 30 people. 50 people showed up ready to party and eat. We had al pastor, carne asada and pollo tacos. Irma also gave us beans and plenty of condiments and salsas. She was ready on time, the price was right. Everyone ate and loved everything, they were licking their plates. Great good, friendly service. Visited this great little gem during our first trip to Mt Shasta. My son balked at the idea of going to a Mexican restaurant and ended up eating his words, and every piece of food off his plate and everyone else's. Even got a cup of their house made salsa to go (to eat with steak later during dinner). Will definitely come back again during our next visit to the area. read more

Decided to stop in as we were driving North to Oregon. Love checking out little places that are local. We just split a breakfast burrito. We are used to really big burritos at home in San Diego and didn't want that much food but we should have probably each ordered one as they were just regular size. It was a good burrito but nothing out of the ordinary. I would definitely come back. I love giving business to small business owners. read more

Excellent breakfast, Excellent service, a great place. Had the pancakes but did not want the eggs and potatoes so they substituted bacon. The bacon was thick cut and cooked to perfection! The plate came with cut watermelon, grapes and strawberries in addition to the pancakes and bacon. The coffee was also brewed to perfection. It is family owned and the people are friendly and kind.
