We did have to wait a little longer than I would have expected for our food with the place only being half full, but the quality was worth the wait! Ordered eggs with spinach, bacon (4 slices!), hashbrowns and a biscuit, and iced tea, with a side of gravy (because why not?). The biscuit was piping hot and fluffy, the gravy not too thick with a bunch of sausage bits. A craveable breakfast spot that I wish was closer to my home! Stopped in driving from Mt.Shasta to Ashland for breakfast. Nice place, food was very good. Had a veggie omelette country potatoes and toast. All cooked perfectly. Melanie was my waitress. It was quiet when I got there but got busy right after but she provided friendly prompt service. The restaurant decor is basic diner but light and open. Had a great breakfast at Gonzo's this morning. I had the Traditional Eggs Benedict w/hash browns and my wife had the Belgium Waffle breakfast that included bacon and eggs. There was plenty of food and we actually brought half of each meal home. Coffee was also served in abundance. Our server was Thalia(?) and she was warm and welcoming. My family and myself were on a roadtrip to Arizona when we stopped in this small town for a bite to eat. Honestly disappointed but what more could you ask for in a random down off the highway. The server seemed off, maybe something about us being newcomers or visitors she wasn't too enthusiastic to serve us, it was frankly, awkward. We were waiting to be helped while watching her and some other workers just talk and laugh at the front service desk. We finally received our food after ordering about half an hour prior as I witnessed others being served whom arrived AFTER we had. The food tasted fine, although it seemed like it was missing something; After eating, my stomach was twisting and turning. Needless to say, next time, I'm doing my research before I just stopped at a random place to eat. read more

Picked this spot on a whim while on my solo road trip. Thrilled that I did! I ordered veggie crêpes, no cheese, and the bottomless coffee. My potatoes were crispy and a little salty. Just how I like them. The edges of the crêpes were also a little crispy, probably from being cooked in butter. Yum. Plenty of assorted fresh veggies inside. The salsa served on the side was fantastic poured over the top. I did not use the sour cream that also came in a little container. The service was delightful. Two seasoned servers who were attentive and kind, and a new person learning the ropes like a champ. It was clear that many of the patrons were regulars as the staff called them by name. Really great breakfast with friendly service. I got a very simple breakfast with potato's that were cooked perfectly as well as the bacon. They also melted the cheese on my potato's for me. For this little small town this breakfast spot is one to beat. If you are traveling on the 5 and you stop in Yreka don't forget about them. A popular place for the locals today in late morning as I stopped for lunch after a great ride along the Klamath and Scott rivers.. The hash was made in-house with shredded corned beef and thin strips of potato. Hash browns or some other potatoes came with it but I chose fruit instead since there was also toast; rounding out the meal were two eggs. All very good. The server kept my coffee cup full. The interior is very plain with little decor and restaurant/industrial tables and chairs. read more

After reading all the good reviews my husband and decided to try it. First off the wait staff were friendly and efficient. Our water and coffee were consistently filled. The sausage patties were tasteless but there were 3 so they diffidently don't skimp on the food. The biscuit was heavy and not cooked all the way and the eggs were too runny. She promptly took the eggs back and got me new ones which were perfect. My husband had French toast and bacon. He said the bacon was really good but the French toast was blah. I'd suggest adding cinnamon and using sour dough bread instead of plain French bread. I'm giving it 4 stars because the staff are great and the portions are plenty. Overall it's a nice place with lots of potential. read more

This location has change owners (and names) a few times recently. The current owners seem to have figured out how to make things work. The food is great. The servers are professional and attentive. The prices are great. The fresh paint a d decor is fine for a brunch diner. On our most recent visit, it was busy enough that the servers were just barely keeping up with everyone. They still did well, but you could tell they had to really hustle. They kept a good attitude through it all. I'm happy to see that this place has caught on. I really wanted to like this place, but my experience was extremely disappointing. The customer service was poor from the moment I walked in. My food took over an hour to arrive, and to make things worse, people who came in well after me were served before I was. When the food finally came, it wasn't even worth the wait -- just overall a horrible experience. For a small town like this, I honestly would've been better off making something at home or grabbing a few snacks. Now I know -- I won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. read more

We were in Yreka for birthday and graduation parties and my wife's cousin raved about a great new breakfast place so my wife and I had breakfast at Gonzo's Saturday morning. I'm a breakfast guy and it was so good we went again Sunday morning. Friendly, attentive service, good portions and VERY reasonable prices. The serving of linguisa Saturday was more than I could eat, and I was hungry. Our next trip to Yreka will require a visit to Gonzo's. read more
