Went to dinner 8/29 after reading great reviews. Ordered drinks , small appetizers , soup and salad and a main - halibut and prime rib Waitress had NO idea how to serve a meal. Husband's soup came out BEFORE drinks. (Clam chowder the worst- basically white water w potatoes). Appetizer next, main courses before his soup was done and drinks still full. Service was awesome! The food...well, not so much. Was seated right away. Ordered a martini and a computer error gave me a second one, which the waitstaff chose to deliver free of charge. I once again ordered a porterhouse. Selected a loaded baked potato for the side, declining a salad and/or vegetables. The steak was much like the one I was served seven months ago, filet side was tender. Baked potato was small, garnished with chives, bacon and cheese. No sour cream. Was there butter? I couldn't tell. I ordered coffee and was sad to have the "cream" arrive in little plastic containers. I ordered the brownie with vanilla ice cream. Removed the first hair. Showed waitstaff the second hair. The dessert was removed from the bill. I'll probably try Round Table Pizza next time I stay in town. read more

The restaurant is beautiful laid out, comfortable tempature and chairs. They have table that can handle a large family of 18 or evan 36 next to each other. The serves were quick, warm and friendly. Food is outstanding well presented, hot and freshener as well as making your tastbuds sing. Area for improvement: Very, very few, 1. there is a small extra 3% gratuity fee added as well as sale taxed on top of the 3% charge. 2. The serves deserted a 20% gratuity bu not on top of the extra 3% fee and sales tax which most patrones add the 20% to the total final bill. 2. read more

My flatiron steak was overcooked. I asked for medium. It was well done. Not good. My waitress offered to make me another, but I was so hungry that I had eaten half the steak by the time she checked on me. By then I wasn't hungry anymore. Well! I was disappointed. Really poor atmosphere, old Formica tables? Very little art? Plain. Very boring. Felt like I was in a Dennys. Food was OK. I had a good burger, well prepared. I'll start off by saying our server was wonderful. She was very attentive and on top of things even though she was the only one on the floor that day. The problem was the food. The clam chowder was thin and the clams tasted old. My mom's chili tasted like ginger was added. It was really strange and inedible. The salads were ok but I had to pick out some old limp pieces of lettuce. This is the third time we've eaten here and this last time did it for us. I hope they can improve the quality of the food. Hate when you want to like a place and you are disappointed. Our server looked like she was the only person on the floor and she actually was doing a pretty good job considering she had a number of tables. We ordered a Reuben Sandwich, which was a special and the chicken dinner. While we were waiting, there were numerous flies flying around us. It took 15-20 minutes to get our salad. Our meal took at least 30 minutes to get or a bit longer. The Reuben looked and tasted real good but the bread was a bit too soggy. The chicken dinner came with 4 thin cuts of chicken breast and was unfortunately a bit overcooked. My daughter and I had split the chicken dinner and the portion amount was large enough to split. Not sure if the actual dinner is suppose to come with 4 thin slice chicken pieces or just one nice size chicken breast but since it was 1p in the afternoon they may have used the chicken for their chicken sandwiches. Stayed overnight in town and hotel clerk recommended Jefferson Roadhouse. Service was great...Lisa was friendly, helpful, and the highlight. We split a steak dinner. The split salad was huge and fresh, and the croutons were delicious. Steak was just okay. Broccoli not edible...overcooked and not even green. Baked potato was nothing special. Poor service & food quality, resulting from being understaffed with inexperienced personnel. I've been to enough Roadhouse/Steakhouses to tell if things are done/calculated right. The 16oz & 12oz Prime Rib cuts seemed a bit lacking in the weight department, though the cool temperature of the dish overall could distract from that. Kitchen-to-table service was so horribly staggered that those first in our party (granted it was large - 13 people total) were nearly done eating as the last ones finally received their food. Wait service was anemic, as evidenced by the staff suddenly being twice as visible once the meal had ended and it was time to pay the bill. No less than 3 TIMES did members of our party have to procure basic items (water, flatware, napkins) due to lack of attention. Strangley enough, the BILLING process worked quickly & seamlessly, not missing a beat with a 20% auto-gratuity PLUS a 3% "handling fee". I get it - times are tough and a business needs to survive, but knowingly, consistently, rail-roading your customers with no sense of conscience has its due. This may work on the inflow of unaware traveller's passing through for now, but the word's getting out. So to anyone reading this I recommend steering clear of Jefferson's Roadhouse for now, as that's what I intend to do. read more

Ive been here numerous times so i was looking forward to a good meal with family and friends. We were part of a group of 13. We had reservations for 630pm (for 10 but added 3). They were busy and short-staffed when we arrived so we all gave them A LOT of grace. However, it took at least 15 minutes before anyone took our orders. We asked for water for everyone but only received a few glasses...then the girl left and didn't return. Drinks and food took forever with no apologies. We were only checked on when we ordered, received food and then when we got our check. So, we really didn't have an opportunity to complain. Food was mediocre at best. Don't waste your $$ on the prime rib, pizza or chicken alfredo. The drinks, however, were on point. But that's the only good I can offer. The mandatory 20% gratuity should've been waived...if they only would've noticed or understood how lacking the service was. We were there for nearly 2 hours and left incredibly disappointed. Recommend they increase staff and reduce the menu to more manageable offerings. Until big changes are made I wouldn't return. So disappointed. read more

After a couple of visits (over the last year): I can confidently state that the food and atmosphere is on point. This time our waitress (Chloe *I think*) remembered us and didn't flinch when my other half had a laundry list of special requests (extra cheese, extra alfredo sauce, extra ranch, blah blah blah). Chloe timed everything perfectly, was very attentive and her welcoming demeanor made for a very pleasant dining experience. I only ordered the fried pickles because a fellow yelper suggested it... Omg, the fried pickles with fry sauce *YUM* I would order these again. The side salad is fresh and is a generous sized portion. Their buttermilk ranch dressing is the best we've found in a long while (made in house maybe?). They may specialize in steaks and burgers, but I'm a BIG Fan of their salads and hot sandwiches. We are traveling with a dog and they were more than accommodating and gave us their outdoor patio with excellent service (thank you Heidi.) the drinks are really generous and amazing. Wife and I's first time here. Love the atmosphere. Service attended to us quickly and was friendly and attentive the entire time. Ordered wings for our appetizer and were very crispy and very good and the price was incredible for a dozen. We split the ribeye and I love that they cut it in half and plated the food equally. Nice little local place mix of locals tourists passing through on their way to or from Oregon. Danielle who runs the bar was my server and was awesome. Took care of everybody as if it was her only table. Started off with a well-made drink followed up by a blue cheese wedge salad with tomatoes and amazing gobs of bacon yummy bacon. Followed by the Jefferson burger which is a half pound bacon cheeseburger with onion rings squished in for comfort. It was all really good finalized with carrot cake for dessert which frankly was too rich for me to have more than two or three bites.
