Out on a road trip and stopped by for lunch. We always like to try some different other than fast food. Service was excellent, the menu was a bit overwhelming with options, all sounding good which made choosing a difficult decision. Food was hot and appropriately sized. Great choice and we'd be regulars if we lived close. Thanks for a great stop. read more

Food was very good. Simple sandwiches and hot soup. Little strip mall cafe was nice. Service was ok but it's definitely a locals place and the menu is a little confusing. Also no to-go boxes, just foil to wrap your leftovers up. Overall was a good lunch spot to stop on our drive up the highway. read more

Linda's Soup Cafe - Pastrami sandwich and Mexican soup - Vegetarian Near Me - Yreka, California

Super delicious food! I have grown up eating there it's definitely a good healthier option for Yreka highly recommend!

The food is fresh and yummy with large portions. The ladies behind the counter are always friendly and patient while you read the menu (like you were ever going to get anything other than the creamy broccoli and cheese soup or a chef's salad) and its right near Walmart and Raley so you can have lunch before you go shopping read more

This place is really good, friendly staff, nice atmosphere and the food is amazing!! Big time shout out to the manager Leah!!! read more

I love this place! Coming here for decades there's nothing better than their grilled seafood sandwich and a bowl of Mexican tortilla soup! Their menu is chopped of great items, but I always come back for my favorite! Thanks, Linda soup kitchen for knocking my lunch out of the park again today! read more

Love Linda's Soup Cafe. I usually get the turkey cranberry sandwich and the chicken asparagus soup. Mouth watering! Atmosphere is kinda random, but feels like grandma's house. Staff is super friendly and helpful. read more

If you love supporting locally-owned businesses, this restaurant is right up your alley. It features delicious freshly-made homemade items with fresh ingredients. The service is fast and friendly and they will happily make your meal just the way you like it. There are cute tables and I love eating here whenever I'm in town visiting friends. It is easy on/off the freeway in the Raley's shopping center. Parking is plentiful and it's just a few steps away from the Tesla Superchargers. Highly recommend! read more

This place is garbage, fair warning they use a microwave to cook everything - do not expect anything other than horrible food. I actually found a piece of hair in my food and to make matters worse, the frozen patty hadn't been fully cooked in the microwave so it was like biting into a piece of metal Trash place. If I could give 0 stars I would read more

While visiting Mt Shasta, we got a cravibg for some warm soup and sandwiches. This place was very yummy. The only reason they got a 4 star instead of a 5 is because they hadnt made the chicken salad for the chicken salad sandwiches. This is a local favorite so we were slightly dissatisfied. However, the soups are amazing. We got three different kinda. Chicken tortillas, veggie tortellini and my favorite the creamy chicken asparagus. The sour dough bread bowl is sooooo good! read more

Best little soup and sandwich place in Yreka! I've been eating there for years and I've always liked it very much.

I have ate there before and enjoyed it but. My son went there because recommended it and was highly disappointed. As he stated to me. "Soup place was not very good Cold soup bad sandwich". This is very disappointing! read more

Little haven amidst a valley of fast food chains. The turkey sandwich and chicken pita wrap were solid, and the staff was friendly. Would like to stop again to try the soups! read more

I've been coming here for years! It's a must when in Yreka. Linda is amazing and the food is delicious!

One of the better lunch options in Yreka for vegetarians, or people who like sandwiches/ wraps. In fact, other than Subway, this is the only place for them. No more than ten tables or so, really basic decor, really friendly staff. I have visited this place several times over the years and have always enjoyed the food. Prices are reasonable, and they also offer blended drinks. Visited last week with limited time and 5 of us were served and out the door in less than 30 minutes. read more

Very good food. Hit and hearty. I had a hot sub and some bean soup and both were great.

If Yreka was 'home'... Linda's Soup would be our 'go to'' every week. Full of locals who know an affordable and tasty place to eat! Today I had split pea, he chose creamy chicken asparagus. Add 1/2 chicken salad sandwich each and in less than 30 minutes we are back on our way. Easy on off freeway! Chose Linda's Soup. You and your tummy will be happy! read more

Was delivering a truckload of goods nearby and found this place next to the Walmart. Had some soup and a wrap. Was delicious and filling and worth the price. Would eat there again next time I pass through. Can park a tractor trailer across the street from the restaurant on the shoulder of the road. read more

My main interest in trying this restaurant was based on the soup angle as I'm a huge fan of homemade soup. Theirs is, indeed, homemade and the split pea I had and the chicken noodle that my husband had were very tasty. The sandwiches were also surprisingly well-balanced with generous expensive meat and sea-food fillings. I had a crab melt which was made with crab salad with enough crab to see and taste - it was very flavorful and not too goopy. My husband had pastrami and was very impressed with how much it was loaded with meat. The bread was warm and toasted inside and a little bit outside. It was soft and fresh. In fact, all of the vegetables on the sandwich were fresh and tasty. Service was prompt and friendly. The only quibble I have is with the chairs. They're somewhat flimsy plastic chairs designed to be used outdoors at fast food places. For the exterior seating, that's okay, but it felt a bit industrial for inside seating. However, I'm not going to dock stars for that point. The food is fresh, well-made and nicely seasoned and proportioned. read more

This was a great spot for lunch on our way up to Oregon. The lady behind the counter was great explaining all the options -- and there are A LOT. They have gluten-free and vegetarian options. I got the veggie tortellini and it was hot and filling. My daughter got the creamy potato and really loved it. Sandwiches were also filling and tasty. read more

Lots of store bought ingredients put together , not authentic. Food came out fast. This is not a local cuisine. Go to any deli and pay HALF. The price for the same thing. read more

Quaint local place. Do not get the gyro( worse ever). Probably should have gotten soup, oops read more

2nd time here, don't remember the 1st. I usually don't do a review like this, but I had the asparagus soup, Turkey sandwich on sour dough, No taste in either, sandwich had a oil dressing, very bland food, chicken noodle had spices in it I've never tasted in this soup! Sorry but very pricy as well!! Sandwich is 10 bucks! read more

Stopped by for a quick lunch during a road trip and had a very pleasant surprise! Great value (~$9) for an exceedingly filling meal that tasted fresh and flavorful. Not exactly gourmet quality, but very good nevertheless. This is a very informal and affordable little cafe, with a great rotation of daily specials. a solid - not fast food place to eat in Yreka. heavily focused on sandwiches and wraps. they have soup and many other items available as well. soups are the specialty so worth a try. i enjoyed my creamy chicken asparagus soup. the sandwich is good but nothing special. no "designer" ingredients, but it's fresh. friendly staff read more

Not sure why I've never reviewed Linda's before! I've been a fan since high school... seriously - an awesome option for Yreka for sure! Tucked away, I hope someday they can expand, they deserve a cutsie setting! The food, the people, it matches something you'd seen in a super adorable downtown style place in a busy town.. I have had a FEW experiences where the staff taking orders at the time is less than excited to be there, but its rare. And I can chalk it up to knowing that everyone has a bad day once in a while and is just ready to be off work... But never have I had a sub par meal here! Favs for me are the Pita tostada, and Split Pea soup (Always with either a bread bowl,or side of grilled pita or garlic bread :) ) read more
