    Kimcheezy panini with guacamole
    Erin N.

Discovered this plant based gem last yearwhile on a road trip, scouring Happy Cow and Yelp for a substantial and healthy dining option. Were so impressed that we stopped on our way back. Now we plan our road trips to make sure we pass by Medford when Rooted is open. Only thing I would change is to open earlier for breakfast! Both locations are in strip malls and the south location can be easy to overlook - it's next door to artisan bakery. Inside it's mellow with raw edged wood tables and chill music. Bathrooms are clean and functional. All the employees we have interacted with have been super friendly and helpful, the drinks come out fast and the food is ready relatively quick. Not "fast" food but not slow either. Latest stop we split a special Kimcheezy Panini which was tangy and melty. Side of guac which was delicious and fresh. Also split a Sweet Pea as burrito which was enormous, had to take half to go. It was, as the name and presence of pineapple indicates, quite sweet. Sweeter than expected even! I got a hot matcha latte which tasted like autumn - reminiscent of liquid pumpkin pie, with a twist. The mango madness special smoothie was very sweet and had a faint grittiness from the protein powder but that is to be expected. We enjoyed the heck out of it. Medfordians, y'all are so fortunate to have two locations of Rooted! I look forward to road trips and working our way through the menu.

Delicious black bean bowl! I love the way the tofu was seasoned. I also had a a small molasses cookie. The place is clean and cool looking. The staff were nice. You order at the counter and they bring you your selections to your table. I would come back for lunch. This is not a fancy place but it was good casual lunch spot.

Super friendly service. The curry soup of the day was so delicious. I will be coming back every time I'm in Medford :) so many things I want to try. Comfy ambiance too.

Excellent plant based food, that even this meat eater enjoyed. Delicious flavors, and will definitely be back!! Don't miss this awesome restaurant. Hard to be disappointed with this amazing menu.

Fabulous little spot to stop for lunch or early dinner. Closes 6pm but great for a to go quick pick up. Cozy setting with a friendly environment and healthy choices. Delish Had the Nourish bowl and they were willing to even make a few alterations.

My son and I went to Rooted for the first time. It was SO good! My son had the kids menu (great options) nachos and kombucha. He is a very picky eater and LOVED his dinner. I had the chickpea melt and the vegetable rice soup with a Matcha latte. The panini melt was perfection, I started eating my soup but my son ate it all and the matcha latte made with oat milk, maple syrup and cinnamon was so smooth and comforting. We will definitely be coming back with my husband and daughter!

    Forager bowl: yummy! Generous size.

Pleasantly surprised to see this place in Medford close to I5. Wish they opened earlier, maybe 9am, but we did have a slow Sunday morning so were happy to wait till 10 am for a healthier alternative to hotel breakfast. Strip mall location, but interior was cute. Nice staff. Large portions and well balanced flavors. Will bookmark for next time we are traveling Interstate 5!

The buddha bowl is very good but more food than I could eat. Small cafe with limited seating as very small napkins.

The restaurant was clean, and the female staff member who helped us was friendly and upbeat. At first, we were given the regular menu with no happy hour listed, but when we asked, she promptly brought us the happy hour menu. Happy hour is available Tuesday-Friday from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. I ordered a Mojito, and watching it being made was a bit amusing--the bartender shook the cocktail shaker very slowly. It lacked the usual bar energy, giving the place a more casual feel. For food, I had two asada street tacos, which were simple and easy to eat but fairly average in flavor. My husband ordered the Chile Relleno, which was very cheesy and a bit too rich for his taste. Overall, the service was pleasant and the happy hour makes it a convenient stop, but the food didn't quite stand out.

I hadn't realized they have a full bar over with the beer selection. Realized after I ordered that they have Hot Toddy's - that was a missed opportunity. Delicious, crisp, yet fluffy. A perfect addition to the unexpected breakfast selection from a cheesecake shop. I had the Porky Pig biscuit and was impressed with the construction of it. Seared ham, bacon and sausage form the salty/savory core. The egg yolk on top immediately burst upon handling and ran through the meat and into the sweet syrupy sauce. The chopped scallions were a thoughtful buoy of freshness to keep you from drowning in the sea-storm of calories. What a delicious journey. We also got the hen and hog. A bit of a miss. Potatoes were undercooked in the core and the rosemary coating was burned. I can't give the place a 5 if there's a chance you could be let down. Ambience was a bit strange in an abandoned basement shopping mall, but I'm hoping there will be growth and the place will get its vibes straightened out. Heavens, I didn't even try the cheesecake. They have a great bulk section as well. I always check out the meat department but I don't usually purchase because the prices appear to be higher than anywhere else except the Neiman-Marcus of Southern Oregon, Ashland Food Co-Op. I don't typically purchase meat there either because the prices are even higher unless something is on sale and it's something I need. I love the charming acquaintance of MFC, payed lime green and purple and nestled back in tall beautiful trees and greenery. The feeling when I pull into that parking lot is incredibly soothing -- and it's right on Riverside Drive. Go figure? Everyone who works at MFC is kind, warm, and welcoming. They're also really helpful if I have a question or I need something that they might not sell regularly or I just can't find it in the store. I never have a long wait at checkout because they understand service and a cashier comes up to the front immediately when there is anyone waiting to check out. Very, very impressive! Another thing that I really appreciate is that the store is always spotless and organized as well as 100% organic. I don't have to worry about buying something, driving home, and discovering that I purchased conventional food which I do not eat. MFC generally has the things that I want to purchase and it's very easy for me to efficiently pop in by what I need and get back on the road to finish my errands and go home. I probably shop here three times a week, maybe more because I love to buy things fresh. Please keep up the good work, folks. My husband and I really appreciate you!!!
