The burgers at White Castle are definitely different from other burgers. They are steamed on a grill on a bed of onions, and are all slider sized. They also have panko fish sliders, chicken sliders, fries, chicken rings, onion chips, and mozzarella chips. It's a standard fast-food drink room. We had the nicest, friendliest lady taking out order. She seemed to love being there. It was pajama day, and some of the staff was wearing their jammies. So cute! Hubby and sons had the cheeseburger sliders and fries. Personally I don't care for them because I have a weird thing about onions--too weird to go into lol. I had the panko fish sliders and fries. I love them!!! So yummy! I wish we had a White Castle in Mesa. But maybe that would be bad for me . . . I'd go there all the time for the fish sliders.

It's White Castle. I think most of us know what to expect. For starters, everything is white! The sliders are basic; Meat, onion cheese, and that's about it. They do have a fairly diverse offering with tomato & Lettuce offerings, chicken and fish sliders. Mixing it up a bit keeps ordering interesting. My visit through the drive-thru was uneventful. No service issues and the order was correct. My kids like this spot, mainly because of Harold and Kumar. I'm glad we have more variety in the west valley!

My Mom had never been to a White Castle, and its been awhile since I've been to the one out in Scottsdale, so we decided to stop here for lunch. First of all...the AI ordering is lame. I tried to order 10 cheese sliders (they have a big poster on the window, 10 cheese sliders for $7.99? 8.99?) and the AI could not understand me. Finally gave up and asked to talk to an employee. Even then, the employee wasn't too familiar with the deal (I had to tell her that they have a big poster on their window with the offer). Finally got everything straightened out, went with the 10 cheese sliders, a sack of onion petals, a chocolate shake for my Mom, and a cup of water for myself. Total was about $18.00. How was it? Cheese Sliders- Damn, son! These were great! They were super fresh, hot, the cheese was melted, the onions were plentiful, and the beef was tasty! I've had White Castle maybe 8 times in my life, across the US, and this was the best the sliders have ever tasted. Score! Sack of Onion Petals- These were delicious! They were super crunchy, fried perfectly, and tasted great! Loved the coating/batter! Really solid! Overall, my Mom liked everything, too! Glad to have this closer to my house in Surprise. I will be back soon when a White Castle craving hits!

All these people with the one stars - the place just opened and they are getting into their rhythm and working out the kinks. Have some grace. We went to the Scottsdale and Tempe locations when they first opened and this location has done a much better job of keeping up. What can I say, it's White Castle. If you know, you know! The sliders were on par with the White Castle we know and love. The onion chips and chicken rings were perfect and not too greasy. The chocolate shake was so good - I've honestly never had one before. The restaurant was nice and clean and service was fast and friendly. Their AC is definitely cranking too!

Quick service and good choice for those who don't eat red meat. Chicken, fish and shrimp. Great to know.

Once you're in, you're trapped--and you better not be in a hurry. Drive-Thru = Danger Zone Unless it's your lucky day, expect to wait 20 to 40 minutes--sometimes more. It's absolutely insane how consistently slow this location is. I've been to plenty of In-N-Outs all across Arizona, and this one is hands-down the worst for wait time. Sometimes the line starts out on the actual street, right after getting off the 10. You're literally blocking traffic just trying to get into the parking lot. It feels like drive-thru roulette, and most times you lose. Food & Service Inside? Same reliable In-N-Out experience--friendly staff, clean interior, fast turnaround. It's almost always faster to walk in and order than sit in the drive-thru forever. The food is usually done right, and I've only had two order mistakes--but one of those happened after I had already waited forever and driven 25 minutes home, only to realize it was wrong. Now I check the bag every single time before pulling away. Parking & Traffic When it's busy, just trying to get into the parking lot feels like a death wish. The entrance gets completely clogged, and people end up stuck halfway in the street, which is stressful and dangerous. Bottom Line: Food? Great. Staff? Fine. But the drive-thru is a black hole of time, and it's wild that after all these years, it's still this bad. If you're brave enough to try, I strongly suggest going inside instead--unless you brought a podcast, snacks, and the patience of a saint. The cheese isn't so thin and nonexistent it fairly evaporates into the meat. You taste it because it's good sharp cheddar or thick government cheese. The lettuce is crisp, tomatoes are meaty, and the onions are just there in their aromatic essence - I'm not going to need a breath mint to make it through this date. And, come on, how did I forget about the beef? It can't just be salt and peppered but at least slightly seasoned. Not grisly, dry and not so much meat that it blows out everything else on the bun. Oh, and the sauce. Big stars for not just being thousand island or ranch but some concoction a chef took the time to craft. And why be a scratch kitchen if you are going to slather it with mayo? I won't even order that. Because I hate mayo and I don't want to have to ask for mustard or ketchup or some kind of bottled dressing to make up for the insult of straight mayo. Enter into my life Bubba's 33. I had forgotten about that craving but my husband remembered and found this place for a Friday night date. You walk in and it is so happy. We got there in the sweet spot between super early diners and people who just got off work. I got the burger I just described. To a T. Offered in a comforting, fresh warm bun that was worthy of all it contained. And my husband immediately reached for his napkin. Served with a side of seasoned fries and I asked for ranch for dipping, because I will judge you on your ranch, too. Much respect, Bubba. You did it. As we waited, I had to use the ladies' and happened to see the kitchen on my way. Everyone seems happy to work there, like friends, and maybe that is why the service and food were both top tier. Left happy. Comforted. With a coupon for a free appetizer because the sweet host asks you if it's your first time and then a manager - or some random guy in street clothes rather than a black top like everyone else - comes over and greets you and hands you one. I need to stop writing this because it's only 8:46 am and I want a burger and I have a long day of thrifting and errands in Phoenix that precludes a journey to Bubbas. But, we'll be back! I stopped by on a Saturday night to finally check it out. As soon as I walked in, I noticed the trompo right away, which is always a good sign. I stepped up to the counter and was greeted with a warm smile from the young lady up front. After looking over the menu, I ordered two tacos de tripa and two tacos de suadero. She asked if I wanted the tripas extra crispy I said no. I also asked how they prepare the suadero since I didn't see a choricera, but she wasn't sure. When the food came out, the tripas were a letdown. The texture was off, almost like a stale chip, and they were clearly overcooked. I asked if I could swap them for something safer, so I went with asada instead, but that didn't impress either. It didn't taste very fresh. Now here's the reason you should come to Tacos Chilangos: the suadero. Even though it's not cooked the traditional way, it was absolutely delicious. Perfect meat-to-fat ratio, super flavorful, and easily the standout. The guacamole salsa was top tier. I kept going back to that one over the others. All in all definitely stop by to try the suadero as for as the other two I'd would probably give them a second try.

It's, in all honesty, my second time here- I came for breakfast in 2023- it was very mid, the service sucked, it wasn't clean inside, we waited forever and there were MANY ppl waiting.... But, we all have bad days, right? Ok....So, tho I was reluctant to try this place again, I wanted the turkey burger so I said-why not? I looked at the ONLINE TO GO MENU, called and placed my order and went to pick it up. Now online it said the burger was $6 and change- not bad, and a small zucchini fries was $5 and change. I'm anticipating this meal to cost about $13 maybe $14... I get in to pick up and the food is ready...the woman at the counter tells me $18.89...?! Of course I IMMEDIATELY recount my order to her and tell her what the online menu said to which she tells me that "they had someone make the online menu for them and they've been trying to get them to update the prices, but they won't." Sooooo my burger is ACTUALLY $9.99.... I'm IRRITATED because that's LITERALLY FALSE ADVERTISEMENT, but I'm hungry and on my lunch break, so I pay.... Now, I get to the car and try one of my zucchini fries- these are THE BLANDEST, with NOT AN OUNCE of seasoning having, just unappealing tasteless zuch fries I've EVER HAD. I'm instantly pissed. It gets worse... This $10 turkey burger with ONLY (and yes this is how it comes, but I asked for no mayo) questionable lettuce and tomato is as bland as the Zuch fries. The bun wasn't special or too soft really... it was legit just tomato, lettuce and a frozen turkey patty- dasit. Not a big or a generous portion- a just a regular patty, 1 slice of tomato and questionably fresh lettuce-TEN DOLLARS. Because I spent pretty much $20 on this, I tried to eat it- but couldn't finish it bc the zucchini fries had a weird smell, were gross and the only thing that was good about this was the ranch that came from the fries. I gave up on the turkey burger...Let me add, my stomach hurts as I type this, I don't feel too good as all.... I'm not surprised. All in all- never ever again. 2nd and LAST time ever.
