THE ORIGINAL SLIDER, PANKO FISH SLIDER CAL 340-350, CRISPY CHICKEN BREAST SLIDER
    Stephanie V.

Believe it or not, my first time trying White Castle. We were headed to Scale and Feather Meadery which does not serve food, only drinks. They allow outside food so I decided to stop and grab some sliders so we wouldn't drink on an empty stomach. I love the original sliders. I ordered a four pack. They were just the perfect greasy fast food bite with beef, cheese, and pickles on a little bun. These are my favorite. I also tried the panko fish sliders and the crispy chicken sliders. These were OK, but the grease was older or dirty so the taste of the chicken and the fish were off. We went through the drive-through to order and were helped completely by AI at the order screen. After pulling up to the window, a gentleman came out and took payment. Service was great and our order was correct.

    Unresponsive ordering system

First time going to White Castle, Complete letdown due to horrible customer service. They now use an AI system to take orders at the speaker, but it failed completely and never worked properly. We waited over 5 minutes for a real person to come on and help, and no one ever did. Given how slow and unresponsive they were, we ended up leaving without ordering anything. Really disappointing experience hoping they fix this AI ordering system soon.

The burgers at White Castle are definitely different from other burgers. They are steamed on a grill on a bed of onions, and are all slider sized. They also have panko fish sliders, chicken sliders, fries, chicken rings, onion chips, and mozzarella chips. It's a standard fast-food drink room. We had the nicest, friendliest lady taking out order. She seemed to love being there. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was pajama day, and some of the staff was wearing their jammies. So cute![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Hubby and sons had the cheeseburger sliders and fries. Personally I don't care for them because I have a weird thing about onions--too weird to go into lol. I had the panko fish sliders and fries. I love them!!! So yummy! I wish we had a White Castle in Mesa. But maybe that would be bad for me . . . I'd go there all the time for the fish sliders.

It's White Castle. I think most of us know what to expect. For starters, everything is white! The sliders are basic; Meat, onion cheese, and that's about it. They do have a fairly diverse offering with tomato & Lettuce offerings, chicken and fish sliders. Mixing it up a bit keeps ordering interesting. My visit through the drive-thru was uneventful. No service issues and the order was correct. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My kids like this spot, mainly because of Harold and Kumar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm glad we have more variety in the west valley!

Sack of Onion Petals. Crispy and crunchy. Tasty!!

My Mom had never been to a White Castle, and its been awhile since I've been to the one out in Scottsdale, so we decided to stop here for lunch. First of all...the AI ordering is lame. I tried to order 10 cheese sliders (they have a big poster on the window, 10 cheese sliders for $7.99? 8.99?) and the AI could not understand me. Finally gave up and asked to talk to an employee. Even then, the employee wasn't too familiar with the deal (I had to tell her that they have a big poster on their window with the offer). Finally got everything straightened out, went with the 10 cheese sliders, a sack of onion petals, a chocolate shake for my Mom, and a cup of water for myself. Total was about $18.00. How was it? Cheese Sliders- Damn, son! These were great! They were super fresh, hot, the cheese was melted, the onions were plentiful, and the beef was tasty! I've had White Castle maybe 8 times in my life, across the US, and this was the best the sliders have ever tasted. Score! Sack of Onion Petals- These were delicious! They were super crunchy, fried perfectly, and tasted great! Loved the coating/batter! Really solid! Overall, my Mom liked everything, too! Glad to have this closer to my house in Surprise. I will be back soon when a White Castle craving hits!

All these people with the one stars - the place just opened and they are getting into their rhythm and working out the kinks. Have some grace. We went to the Scottsdale and Tempe locations when they first opened and this location has done a much better job of keeping up. What can I say, it's White Castle. If you know, you know! The sliders were on par with the White Castle we know and love. The onion chips and chicken rings were perfect and not too greasy. The chocolate shake was so good - I've honestly never had one before. The restaurant was nice and clean and service was fast and friendly. Their AC is definitely cranking too!

This is a smaller restaurant with limited waiting space inside, so some guests had to wait in their cars and check back for their table. The waiting area near the host stand was a little warm, although it felt much cooler once we were seated thanks to the ceiling fans. I'm not sure if the air conditioning was working properly. We did have to wait a little while before our waitress came to our table, but once she greeted us, she answered our questions about the menu. The hostess also offered some great recommendations, which we appreciated. We ordered the Waffletto Sandwich, the Mexican Omelette (which comes with a salad), the Chicken & Waffles, and two flavored lemonades. The Waffletto Sandwich was good, but for the price, I would have liked a little more meat. My recommendation would actually be to order one of their regular breakfast plates, which includes a half Belgian waffle along with eggs, meat, and hash browns. It seems like a better value and gives you more food for your money. My daughter really enjoyed the Mexican omelette and said it was very flavorful. The Chicken & Waffles were also tasty, although I personally would have preferred fewer onion strings on top of the waffle. I also think chicken wings or tenders would pair better with the waffle than the chicken breast that was served. The biggest disappointment was the lemonade pricing. The menu clearly listed the flavored lemonades for $5, but when we received our bill, we were charged $7.50 each. We brought this to our waitress's attention, and she explained that the higher price was due to the flavoring, syrup, and free refills. However, none of that was explained on the menu, nor were we informed about it when ordering. If the menu advertises a drink for $5, customers should either be charged that price or the menu should clearly state any additional charges. Accurate pricing is important, and management should ensure that the menu reflects the correct prices to avoid confusion and disappointment. If the current price is $7.50, the menu should be updated accordingly. Otherwise, customers should be charged the advertised price. Another thing that wasn't communicated was that the flavored lemonades include free refills. We only learned this after questioning our bill. Once we found out, we were able to get refills in to-go cups before leaving, which was a nice bonus. So, if you order one of their lemonades, be sure to ask for a refill or a to-go cup before you leave. Overall, the food was enjoyable, and there were a few dishes we liked. With better communication about menu pricing and drink refills, along with ensuring menu prices are accurate, the overall dining experience would have been much better.

They were giving away three waffle options as a part of an event on-campus. The options were Strawberries & Cream, Biscoff & Cream, and Churro & Cream. I chose the Biscoff & Cream waffle. While I only had a bit of the cream, I absolutely loved the crispy and tasty waffle with the Biscoff butter spread on top. I was also impressed by how quickly the Waffle Love team prepared and gave out their waffles. While the event at ASU was listed as a private event, you can see where Waffle Love will be on any given day by visiting the calendar on their website: https://wafflelove.com/waffle-love-arizona#azcalendar. You can see which farmers markets and food truck events they will be. The menu for the food truck is online which includes 10 sweet Belgian waffles, 1 savory Belgian waffle (grilled cheese & bisque), and a build-your-own waffle with six topping options. Also on the website, you can sign up for their loyalty program to earn points with each purchase eventually earning you a discount or free food. By signing up for weekly e-mails, you can also join the birthday club to receive a digital coupon for a free Red Wonder (biscoff, raspberries, strawberries, whipped cream) on your birthday. Waffle Love also offers catering, merchandise, gift cards, and dough balls. While I only saw the food truck at a private event with three options, I can't wait to try it again soon with a larger number of options, perhaps the entire menu of sweet, savory, and build-your-own Belgian waffles!
