A couple of weeks ago, I had a craving for a good burger. You know what I mean: that juicy one that you bite into and you immediately need a napkin. The cheese isn't so thin and nonexistent it fairly evaporates into the meat. You taste it because it's good sharp cheddar or thick government cheese. The lettuce is crisp, tomatoes are meaty, and the onions are just there in their aromatic essence - I'm not going to need a breath mint to make it through this date. And, come on, how did I forget about the beef? It can't just be salt and peppered but at least slightly seasoned. Not grisly, dry and not so much meat that it blows out everything else on the bun. Oh, and the sauce. Big stars for not just being thousand island or ranch but some concoction a chef took the time to craft. And why be a scratch kitchen if you are going to slather it with mayo? I won't even order that. Because I hate mayo and I don't want to have to ask for mustard or ketchup or some kind of bottled dressing to make up for the insult of straight mayo. Enter into my life Bubba's 33. I had forgotten about that craving but my husband remembered and found this place for a Friday night date. You walk in and it is so happy. We got there in the sweet spot between super early diners and people who just got off work. I got the burger I just described. To a T. Offered in a comforting, fresh warm bun that was worthy of all it contained. And my husband immediately reached for his napkin. Served with a side of seasoned fries and I asked for ranch for dipping, because I will judge you on your ranch, too. Much respect, Bubba. You did it. As we waited, I had to use the ladies' and happened to see the kitchen on my way. Everyone seems happy to work there, like friends, and maybe that is why the service and food were both top tier. Left happy. Comforted. With a coupon for a free appetizer because the sweet host asks you if it's your first time and then a manager - or some random guy in street clothes rather than a black top like everyone else - comes over and greets you and hands you one. I need to stop writing this because it's only 8:46 am and I want a burger and I have a long day of thrifting and errands in Phoenix that precludes a journey to Bubbas. But, we'll be back! We arrived with a Party of 8 and were sat down within 10 minutes. But unfortunately waited a long time for our food, it took over 45 minutes, but it was a busy Friday evening! Thank you to our server Priscilla for being helpful and checking in on us to see if we needed anything! The restaurant was clean and such a fun environment, they had good music playing through out the night! Bubba's 33 feels like a Texas Roadhouse vibe without the cowboy theme, very "American bar & grill." The atmosphere was fine overall, but I couldn't ignore some cleanliness issues. The plates didn't look very clean, and the area by the windows was noticeably dirty. Also, it felt way too early in the year (late January) to already have flies inside the restaurant. Food-wise, I ordered both habanero traditional wings and habanero boneless wings. Surprisingly, the boneless wings were better. They tasted more flavorful and honestly seemed more thoroughly cooked. As for the "habanero" sauce: it's not spicy at all. That's supposedly their spiciest option, which was disappointing. I even mentioned "mango habanero" and got corrected that it's just "habanero," but either way, they seriously need a hotter option. I also ordered a small pepperoni pizza. It was a decent bar-style pizza very flat, almost like something you'd get from a Chicago fast-food pizza joint. Not great, not terrible. It could've been better, but it could've been worse. This is actually my 2nd time visiting. The first time, I got the spicey chicken sandwich with my choice of sauce (barbeque sauce) and side (tater tots). When we walked in, I noticed that it reminded me of Applebee's but seemed like something was different. This is because it was created by the owner of Texas Roadhouse as a response to Applebees and Chili's. You'll notice that many of the fixtures in this restaurant are shared with Texas Roadhouse but it has its own flair. The spicey chicken was covered in sauce- I would recommend getting finger wipes for this meal, but unfortunately I never got any with my meal. The margaritas are very similar to Texas Roadhouse and price point is slightly lower than Texas Roadhouse. There is also less of a wait. Fried pickles today came out fresh and hot- thinly sliced with ranch. Quite delicious. This time I had the black and blue burger. I've developed a liking for blue cheese for the most part and this burger had it in every bite in the creamy sauce. Sorry but I ate it all and there is no pic. I got fries with it but I prefer the tater tots because they stay hotter longer and come out hotter. May also be a texture thing. I asked for mustard and they had it. We asked for waters but never got them this time around though the waitress stopped by about 3 times but didn't give us time to ask. Price point, decent. Wait, none. Parking, easy. My family and I decided to try this restaurant since it was new in the area for the last few months. We came in on Friday early afternoon at 2 PM and we were seated right away . The hostess and the waitress is very kind and friendly and answered any questions we had in reference to the menu. We placed our order for the bacon, macaroni and cheese, the appetizer combo with mozzarella sticks, chicken bites and fried pickles and the burger with egg and cheese on it . Our orders came out right away. The bacon, macaroni and cheese was good and my appetizer was decent as well. Did not care for the Parmesan garlic sauce or the lemon pepper sauce. It was very oily with no flavor or taste and my daughters burger was very salty luckily the manager came over to each table And he replaced her order with a different sandwich but overall our experience was just OK for the price each meal cost anywhere between $14-$20 or more depending on what you order and they do have drink specials during the week and or month for five dollars.. My wife and I enjoy this place when we want a good burger and tots. The burgers are always perfect. I like the black and blue and the habanero. We always sit at the bar and the bartenders are great. Best part is it's affordable. I've spent more at fast food restaurants that weren't nearly as good. All we've had are the burgers so I can't comment on anything else, but the pizzas look good. Been here many times with between 2 and 6 people. Have absolutely no complaints about any menu item served to our table. There are sufficient servers so service is fast and efficient. Bubbas has been open for over a year now and I have passed by time and time again. After finally stopping after a baseball game I have been back four times and have yet to miss on a meal. I feel like I can speak to several dishes all of which are solid and enjoyable as well as generous in portion. I have ordered the Bubbas33 special pizza ($10.99 on any pizza on TUES), the Monte Cristo sandwich (devilishly good and sinful), a burger (special on MON), and the Club sandwich which might be my favorite! With all meals I bypass fries and tots to get their house salad which is fresh and crunchy and their honey mustard is awesome! The whole restaurant is large for seating with TV monitors EVERYWHERE no matter where you are sitting. These areas consist of inside dining, the bar, and patio. On a hot summer day there is a place for every preference. The staff works as a team to deliver food, fill drinks, and clean tables which is refreshing. At the End of the Day - Bubbas isn't gonna change your life as a foodie but for the West Valley it's our families go to spot to cater to all the different tastes and the $5 drink specials and daily specials will keep us coming back. read more

Our server was friendly and checked-in throughout the meal. There was a menu discrepancy where there was an upcharge for something we're weren't aware of, but it definitely wasn't intentional. The food was solid. We started with the Combo Appetizer. Then my partner got the Chicken Tenders & Fried Shrimp Combo. I got the Sunshine Burger with Fire Fries. My only complaint was they placed the burger directly on top of the cold wet pickle spear which made the bottom bun soggy. Aside from that everything else tasted good. Spectacular, we went here after my grandson's graduation for lunch. We had heard it was good so had to try it for ourselves and we were not disappointed. Bubba's 33 was not what I expected, it was a better American sports bar than any of the others I had been to in the area The restaurant was extremely packed and I don't think that'll ever really change. Didn't matter though because I liked how busy it was and the people were a lot of fun. My food was really good but I will say that I found the portion sizes to be a bit smaller than I was hoping. My salmon was pretty great and I really enjoyed the honey coating on it. I would recommend it but, be sure to get an appetizer if you're someone who's a 6 or higher on the hunger scale. Wow! I didn't want to like it because it's a chain but WOW they say it's scratch made & they're not lying. 12/10 experience on a busy evening during dinner rush. There's no way anyone thinks this would be enough salad dressing for this huge salad. I fortunately thought ahead and ordered extra, but didn't receive it. Although, when I asked the server if that extra dressing was in the sealed bag, she actually told me she personally gave me a larger container of it. Great first experience here! We got fried pickles, the mushroom burger, and chicken tenders. It all tasted pretty great, but was borderline on being too salty so thats why it drops to a 4 star. Ok folks. If there's ever a holy crap restaurant it's this one. Our first time here and everything was fantastic. Everything is homemade and made to order. If they run out, they're out. My absolute favorite pizza is from Red Devil and this pizza is a clone. Great pizza. The chicken tenders are just that, tender and delicious. We're excited to have something new in the west valley, that's not another fast food joint. I have been anticipating their opening for a couple of months now. So, I had this brilliant idea. It's their first week in operation, so not very many people know they are there yet, right??? And, I'll go on a weeknight when most people stay in, right??? NOPE! Upon arrival, my jaw hit the floor! The place has people all around waiting for their tables. To my amazement, we were told that the wait was only 15 minutes. So I found a couple of seats at the bar and enjoyed a hazy IPA while we waited. The decor is off the charts and the atmosphere, electric. Because this was Bubba's first week in operation, I expected minor hiccups here and there, but I must say, our evening went off without a hitch. The service was great and the staff worked so well together, that it looked like they had been doing this forever! Bubba's has a huge variety of above average pub grub and more. I had a Philly cheese-steak, and my wife had a burger. I must say that I enjoyed the Philly more than most and my wife's burger was also better than most. I loved the buttered and grilled but. Yep, so much more to try. I had something similar in the mid west years ago called Quaker Steak & Lube. I remember thinking "man, I wish we had a fun place like this!" We celebrated a birthday there on Sunday with a party of ten. We've eaten at Bubba's many times before and always had good food, but this visit was disappointing. My wife and I ordered the fish and chips, and they were clearly overcooked. My mother-in-law had the lasagna and said it had no flavor even joking that Stouffer's does it better. Others at the table had similar complaints: cold mashed potatoes, undercooked quinoa, and generally lackluster quality all around. It was surprising and honestly disheartening since this has always been one of our favorite spots. There weren't any major events going on besides football and racing, so the poor quality was unexpected. We didn't want to make a scene during the birthday, but Bubba's really needs to step it up -- especially for what we spent. Will we go back? Maybe. The first few times we came here it was great service and good food. I'm not sure what has happened. Today I ordered the habanero burger well done and I received a burger raw inside and no jalapeño or cream cheese on it which is included in the habanero burger. A few weeks ago we came and there was a plastic bread clip inside my burger. I let them know, they apologized but didn't replace the burger or offer a discount. We were seated quickly and chose the outdoor seating, which was perfect. We've driven by so many times but hadn't given it a try until today. We were actually on the way to a different restaurant but made a last-minute decision to turn in and we're SO glad we did! The ambience had a great vibe, fun and comfortable throughout our visit. It's the kind of spot where you instantly feel relaxed, and the lively energy just adds to the experience. Our server Dee was fantastic. After we mentioned it was our first visit, she gave us the lowdown on Bubba's and made us feel really welcome. Then the manager came by, heard it was our first time, and welcomed us with a smile. He even gave us a "first time guest" free appetizer card what a great surprise! We started with the naked wings and Buffalo dipping sauce. We've tried wings at Red Robin and Oregano's and always thought Oregano's were the best in town. Not anymore Bubba's 33 is our new favorite for wings! Plus, we found out they have all-you-can-eat wing deals on Wednesday's. What a score! Every single thing we ordered was great. The Philly, chicken tenders, and shrimp were all delicious. Went to Bubbas with a coupon for a free appetizer. I showed the waitress my coupon. We ordered one. Then ordered 2 pizzas. The pizzas were on special. When we finished the waitress said I can't allow a free appetizer because you ordered the pizza special. Can't do 2 discounts. But she'll ask the manager. The manager came to the table & said he can't do the free appetizer. We could pay full price for one of the pizzas then use the coupon. WHAT? This was far from stellar customer service. Make an exception. Make a customer happy. Instead you created negativity and wouldn't do your best for $7 to keep a customer. Bubba's 33 is a different take on a bar brought to you by the owners of Texas Roadhouse. The decorating is wild and they have barstools with girls legs. It's a sports bar, but its different and that's what makes this place fun. The menu has a variety of options to choose from, so everyone in the group will have something they enjoy. Shotgun Shrimp: 7/10 - Good portion of shrimp coated in a nice sauce. Lacked a little bit of flavor. Poblano Spinach Dip: 8/10 - Large size served in a cast iron dish. It was served with dusted chips and bread. I was expecting it to be okay, but this is a great dish for a starter. Chicken Cobbed Salad: 7.5/10 - Large size and the taste was actually really good. The dressing wasn't overwhelming and everyone enjoyed it. Boneless Buffalo Wings: 8.5/10 - The quality of the chicken was really high and the sauce was tasty. The ranch that it was served with was tasty. Overall, they have good quality food here. The pricing is a little higher than I expected, but the quality made up for it.
