Of all the places I visited during my short trip to AZ, Agulia's stuck out as my favorite. It was the only place I ran into locals and not many tourists. A strait forward no frills bar with friendly bartenders and patrons. We spent a few hours here and enjoyed the night. I met a lot of employees and everyone was beyond friendly. A lot bigger than I thought when first walking in, with two bars, two floors and a full outdoor patio. The vibes here felt like home. 10/10. read more

We've been having fun at this location for over 9 years. Used to have different name and owners but they kept it same inside. It's very awesome dive bar type place. Years ago they had a club type place in the basement and just recently we stopped by and they were partying it up. Or down I should say, down in the basement. Sooooo corny LoL. For the most part we go around the same time, late afternoon, before it gets too crowded, because believe me it does. We went after being out all day on Labor Day weekend. Just a couple regulars were there. The juke box is always playing just what you want to hear. If nobody is playing it I usually just go to my app already on my phone and can control and pick songs right from my table. The service is always great and we've had some crazy memories there over the years. Also, the best part, which the hubby loves is that his beer is always on happy hour. Well, not just his, but all drinks are usually on special. Now I can't speak for any other times of the week, but when it counts on Saturday afternoon and evening, drinks are perfectly priced. That's the main reason we go there. So keep up the great service and prices Aguila!! read more

Usually I like dive bars, but this place is the exception. Went in a few days ago for a few cold ones and was disappointed with the irresponsibility of the chain smoking owner. While I was drinking my beer, he and his cronies were chain smoking INSIDE the bar while they were eating. Disgusting. They're remodeling so it's in a bit of disarray. Even the bartender was being irresponsible by vaping while behind the bar tending to customers, but she was good other than that. Drinks should be cheaper than they are for the area, especially for a dive bar that is using outhouses as restrooms currently. They no longer serve food. read more

Awesome bar on the Westside. There's pool tables and dart for fun. Aguila's has the best Michelada in town!! If you need a shot, try out the Marti-Kazi shots! Made by Martin. This spot is gross... Reminds me of a runaways shack for teens. The fact that it has a bunker intrigued me but during in a tiny baby with 3 tables and 2 pool tables filled with cigarette smoke if not appealing. I get it's a dive but if your gonna smoke indoors you need some major ventilation cuz that shit you have now is garbage! You will take that she'll home with you for sure. read more

We were in town for a month or so and this was our favorite "go to" place for cold drinks and good conversations. Everyone we met there made us feel welcome from the very beginning.. The bartenders are friendly and very attentive! They even totally remodeled the inside while we were there with no interruptions to service! I don't go to bars often but when I do they are typically dive bars. This one seemed very underwhelming. The drinks were cheap but it was musty, dirty, and the table was sticky. I imagine this is a place close to home for regulars and while I imagine many may frequent Aguila's it is not for me. read more

I've been twice and both times the food was really good. It's definitely a dive bar so don't be expecting it to be anything fancy but that's exactly what I like about about it! This review is for the Buckeye location, I can't find an updated location to leave a review for that bar but it is the same ownership and bartenders. I'll start with my biggest and primarily only issue (other than the cost of a game of pool being outrageous)... The bartender with the colors in her hair (I think her name was Nic), was absolutely disrespectful to not only me but just about anyone she spoke to (especially women). I sure hope management/ownership handles this unprofessional employee. read more

I've only been there twice during the afternoon but both times was quite pleasant. It's definitely a dive. But I enjoyed myself. Only reason it got 4 instead of 5 is there was a pup there that liked me a little too much and wouldn't leave me alone but once the owner of the dog saw they took care of the situation promptly. read more

Okay I'm visiting from Cali and I'm so familiar with little dive bars so I thought I'd give this a try ! Martin was our bartender and it was pretty busy for a Sunday night I didn't expect a lot of people to be there but he handled everyone's order accordingly with politeness! He was playing some good music while making some bomb micheladas with a room full of people. It's been there a few years, changed names in the last couple years, and is separate from the motel though they do rent the space from them. It's your average bar food and spot. Service was quick and friendly, we had a to go order. The restaurant looked clean and welcoming. If you're looking for decent restaurant bar vibe this is a good spot.
