The food here is hit and miss. Went on Sunday afternoon, as soon as we walked in the door they shouted across the room they were out of all food on the menu except smash burgers and fries. Ok, the four of us had smash burgers and fries. The burger itself was delicious, I have attached the photo of the plate and the fries consisted of 12 French fries! Want to love this place, it's close, we love supporting local. Hopefully management reads reviews and understands there room for improvement... start with great steaks! read more

We visited The Tack Room for the first time and couldn't have been more impressed with how fun and welcoming this place is. Our kids, who are usually picky about trying new places, kept telling us how much they loved the food and the atmosphere, and they were genuinely disappointed when it was time to leave! The food was fantastic, fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right. The staff made us feel right at home, and you can tell the owners really care about creating a place that feels like part of the community. With it also being a part of the Buckeye Equestrian Center, this is such a perfect stop during rodeo season or after an event. If you're searching Yelp for the best restaurants in Buckeye AZ, family dining, or a great local spot in the West Valley, The Tack Room should definitely be on your list. We decided to try the tack room on a Saturday afternoon. We live in Verrado so it's a little bit of a drive but the food was really good. I ordered the train station express, and my wife ordered the tack room burger. The chicken sandwich was very good and the bun was fresh. Jen's burger was good , a little spicy for some reason but she said it had a great flavor. Nice place, bar is really nice. We will return. read more

The beef sandwich was a little dry, but the sweet peppers added & AU jus helped, the bread was good, soft & more of an open face sandwich. They have premium prices for their products. My husband and I went there for the first time last night. Before we were even seated the waitress walked up and asked what we wanted to drink. I explained to her it was a first time and asked her to give us a minute to sit down and see what they offered. She finally came back around like 15 minutes to get our order (she had zero personality). When our food came out we were not impressed to say the least. They charged $38 for a steak that was 90% fat and grisly, the smallest baked potato, and "seasonal vegetables " which had zero flavor for all of it. The steam also had no seasoning on it whatsoever. I do not recommend going to this restaurant! They over charge for their menu items and the atmosphere is not great for a date night. The only thing that was good was the adult beverage and the bartender was more diligent checking on customers than the waitress. read more

What a fun spot that's also convenient for those participating at the equestrian center. We went twice, first night I got the train station (fried chicken sandwich) and it was very delicious, their salad bar is nothing fancy but does the truck with free range. Second night I got the fish tacos and they were very good - enough to fill you up while also tasting high quality. It was expensive but isn't everything? I ordered for take-out and although it was a bit of a wait, the service was accommodating and I could tell the waitresses were hustling! I highly recommend checking them out if you're looking for a laidback atmosphere but a yummy meal also. read more

My wife and I usually come here for the happy hour--beer, appetizer, and entrees. When we first discovered the place, everything was fantastic. The food was great, portions were generous, and it felt like a solid value. We always ordered two beers, the pretzel appetizer, and later shared a plate of fish and chips. Unfortunately, over our last two visits, we've noticed a steady decline in both food quality and portion size. The pretzels, which used to be thick, soft, and filling enough for two, are now noticeably smaller--about a third of the original size and lacking in texture, like they didn't rise properly during baking. The fish and chips have also shrunk. We used to get two thick, flaky fillets. Now it's thinner cuts and noticeably less fish overall. Even the fries--frozen ones, at that--have been scaled back from a hearty portion to a small girls handful. What was once a satisfying and affordable meal now feels overpriced. At $16, the current fish and chips plate--with just a few fries, a tiny side of slaw, and smaller fillets--no longer offers the value it used to. At best, it's a $12 dish in its current state. We're willing to give this place one more shot to turn things around. If not, we'll be moving on. For now, we're giving it two stars until they address the portion and value issues. read more

Went in for breakfast (10/19/24) Breakfast was better than when I went in for lunch a few months ago. I will say, though, they really like using black pepper for seasoning. Maybe they want the flavors to give off more of a southwestern taste? The hash browns were very peppery. Not as bad as the hamburger I had previously ordered for the lunch, but the flavor was definitely there. It's just a little too much for my taste. But breakfast was good. read more

Tackroom can be a hit or a miss at times. Service can be subpar depends on who is working , I guess, most times you are waiting for drink refills, but food for the most part, is good. Steaks are on the anorexic thin side and often overcooked, learned that the hard way after 3 different visits, so I stick with a burger. I enjoy their tater tots with the unique seasoning they add. Not my first choice on a Friday night, but if I'm not up to driving far, it's a decent option. Won't be back for a steak though, NO WAY which is a shame as the meat is local. Maybe thicker steaks and a chef? -let's be real- a COOK that can GRILL a medium RARE???? read more

Food is really good if you can get it. Very limited menu during the summer...and half the menu are just appetizers ..I went there the other day. Menu said sirloin with mashed or baked potato. I ordered a baked potato. Was told by the server they don't serve baked potato until 4.. didn't say that on the menu. I ordered green beans. Then about 5 minutes later.. at 1:24... Not 4:00.. another customer gets served a baked potato. I asked why she got a baked potato if they weren't serving them until 4. Server said they make an exception for that customer because she is in there a lot. Well, with the limited menu options and now favoritism, I won't be there much, if at all, again. We had heard amazing things about the restaurant. I belong to a group which I am in charge of doing our monthly dining out. I came in and vetted the Tack Room. Everything seemed like it was going to be perfect for our group Upon our arrival, we were told that female waitress would handle 10 of us and a male waiter would handle the other 10 of us It was extremely evident the female waitress was experienced and very qualified. The male waiter tried his best, but he had also been bartending as well and struggled to take care of our ten The group that was with the female with staff experienced a short wait time in getting the beverages, but overall not too bad Their orders were taken they were served and said for the most part the food was good, but they were disappointed and their steaks having heard amazing reviews. They were not very impressed. I was disappointed for them. Our group on the other hand couldn't seem to have our drinks handled properly. We could not get our food in a timely manner many mistakes were made, and it just was evident. The young man was not trained to work this side of the Restaurant business, his talents or elsewhere We did have a few people that said they would never go back, but I said we would probably try this again but talk to management before we rebooked to see if there were staffing issues or supplier issues. Just what was the problem that this turned out to be such an uncomfortable experience. My wife and I went for the first time a week ago. It is a large open room with the bar in front and restaurant in the back. It was for me like stepping into a mom and pop restaurant in the Midwest. I'm not the biggest fan of ranch powder on everything so that was a negative for me. the positive was me not eating all of them - the serving of tots was huge! The burger was cooked exactly as I requested and the accessories (lettuce tomato pickle) were all perfect. The price was also perfect. We were excited to try it out for Father's Day. The food was priced right for the steak special but we had to wait almost an hour to get it. My son had french toast sticks and avacado toast, seriously they were the best. I wish I would have ordered that. I got the deca breakfast burger and it was very dry. The french fries were the best amount of salt for sure. My hunny's steak was over cooked, burnt a bit for asking for medium so that was a bummer. Honestly two times I've gotten sick here. They had to remove the pork chop because it kept making people sick. Never made a scene never made a big deal. I Always tip. Stopped in after church. Three words: TRAIN STATION EXPRESS. Super crispy chicken spicy sandwich. I whole heartedly recommend it. One of the best I have ever had. Side note: I am a tater tot fan and they have seasoned tots that taste like BBQ potato chips. For me I prefer regular ole crispy. But overall the place looks beautiful and Caity was the best server. When in Buckeye for events at the South Buckeye Events Center visit the Tack Room restaurant. Newly remodeled with clean, comfortable dining room and restrooms. Plenty of parking out front or a short walk from the arenas. Service was prompt and attentive. Food came quickly and in ample portions. If you're not into concession stand food and want a sit down atmosphere don't miss it. Reasonably priced as well. read more

We had heard amazing things about the food and were excited to try some things. We are foodies and a few things on their menu sounded amazing but ended up being not so amazing. The service was great and our server was attentive. The food was the downfall for me. We ordered the onion rings as an appetizer and they were pretty decent. I ordered the calamity Jane no pink & it was pink :( the burger was supposed to come with bacon and it didn't. The wedges as you can see were hard in the middle. My husband ordered the fried chicken that came with Mac and cheese and jalapeño corn bread. The chicken was good, the hot honey sauce was good also, but they were more like oversized wings. The Mac was kind of flavorless, but the bread was decent. I am willing to give this place another try because like I said, we were so excited that it was so close to us.
