I came because I had a coupon for a chicken shack and I ordered a hot dog and a bbq chicken sandwich meal it came out to $35 they took the chicken shack sandwich off because of my voucher It took forever for my order and then they asked me to wait out front I waited and waited and was told they were waiting for my hot dog. I finally got off the car and still didn't aired and was told they make the food fresh so it takes a bit I get home and the hot dog looks like it was made over an open campfire the bun was literally toast, the chicken sandwiches had the bread so charred it was gross. We have been wanting to try this place and picked here over Texas Roadhouse to try something different. $70 for me my wife and 12yr old was a bit much but I did read they use good ingredients. I can't really tell you if it's worth it or good. Ordered pick up. They forgot our fries so we had to wait for fresh ones. Then we realized the forgot the Korean chicken bites. Went back in they had to make those and still gave me plain chicken bites. At that point we had the burgers for over 25 minutes before we gave up and started eating. The burger itself is likely quality ingredients but it was cold. The only one that ate was the 12 yr old. For the price they can at least get the order right. Wow, I didn't think it was bad at all! This is my first time trying Shake Shack and everything went well for me. The restaurant was simple and clean. Because I used the Kiosk up front to order, I really didn't have much interaction with the employees. Thinking we needed to use the kiosks to order, we stopped there. They are a bit time consuming, so the folks that walked straight up to the counter to order, passed us by. We were lucky enough to have visited on free chicken sandwich day, so we ordered two burgers and got our free chicken sandwich. I thought the burgers were honest (traditional) and their meat and cheese were definitely the stars of the sandwich! The vegetables were fresh and the bread was fantastic, with a slightly sweet flavor that reminded me of Fuddrucker's when they used to make their own bread in house. I thought the chicken sandwich was pretty good as well with a nice peppery flavor. The french fries are crinkle fries and didn't think they were anything special. But there are other burger joints that are the same way. I do also wish that there was a better variety of sodas. I will be back! Their burgers are at the top of my list now. read more

Stopped here to try the milkshakes after a friend said they had the best milkshakes. Ended up going inside rather than using the drive through. Purchased 3 milkshakes (x2 vanilla, x1 tiramisu)--paid about $20. Waited about 10 minutes to receive them. Tiramisu shake was good, mostly espresso taste to it (rightfully so), husband got the vanilla shake and said it really just tasted like a McDonald's McFlurry--blended soft serve. Just had my first (and likely last) Shake Shack experience. For a start, it's very expensive for fast food. Two burgers, two fries, one hot dog, and one drink set us back almost $50. The service was incredibly slow for 4pm on a Saturday. Lots of employees, not a lot of direction being given. Some were running around, others just seemed to be standing & waiting to be told what to do. We ended up waiting over 20 mins for our order to come out. Dine-in restaurants operate more efficiently than this - 20 mins is not acceptable for fast food. When the food did come out, it was disappointing. Fries were past lukewarm, almost cold to the touch. I thought the burger actually tasted pretty decent - but it didn't justify the price. Hot dog was nothing special at all. It's not a large restaurant inside. Every table was occupied and some groups were waiting for tables to open up. I was looking forward to this place when it was announced, but don't think I'll be returning anytime soon. The seating was fine but felt crowded with people waiting for their orders (this needs to be corrected) and also their staffing needs to be organized and sorted out to fill ALL the essential positions so service can be improved. I can only say about the ambiance is that it is hectic and unapathetic at this time. For the prices being charged you would think it would be made a lot more comfortable surroundings. I have been a Shake Shack fan for a while since I found their location in Scottsdale one day. The Smokeshack Burger is one of the best burgers you can get at a drive thru place, and this time was no exception at the new Goodyear location. The diced cherry peppers are just beyond great. My only complaint is the wait time, but I didn't mind as much because I know they are a little more elevated compared to other chains and the process takes more time. But I did wait about 15 mins for a drive thru order. Also be prepared to spend big money as the food is not cheap, but so delicious. read more

No apology instead they told me "how do they know i didn't eat the meat" Totally embarrassed i left to never return. Not to mention it was tiny, size of a Hawaiian roll. I've been twice now and have liked it both times. The inside is rather small and it does get crowded. There is outside seating, which will be nice when it's not 198 degrees out. Both times I've had the single Shack burger, which I've really liked. It's the perfect size when paired with a side-not too big. One time I got the fries and they weee decent; I sampled my friends cheese fries and those were good. My friends liked the fried pickles, but I thought they were too soft and soggy when I ordered them the next time I went. I prefer crispier fried pickle slice. The shakes are decent. Not my fave and not my least fave. Just middle ground. I do want to try the strawberry lemonade next time I'm there. The service was incredibly slow the first time we went in May and it was extremely packed on a Friday afternoon, but it was still relatively new then. Now that it's July, and other eateries have opened up nearby-it wasn't as packed on a Monday afternoon at lunch time. It was still busy, but the wait time for our order wasn't as long. This place is absolutely atrocious. The burgers are laughable for the price and surprisingly, the service is even worse. We ordered as a family at the kiosk for takeout. We still have to take a number, which I did. I sat and waited, and waited, and nothing. Despite having a number, which I'm still not sure why, they also said they'll text you when the order is ready. After 20 minutes, with no number call out or a text message, I finally walked up to the counter asking where my food was. The person at the counter looked at a woman in the kitchen, asking for an update, and without a glance the woman said 15 minutes. Not sure how you'd know my order would be another 15 minutes without knowing my order or even locating it on the order screen. Ironically, moments later that was determined to be a lie, because my order was sitting in the web/app pickup area despite being clearly marked kiosk. So, now, my food is cold after sitting for an undisclosed amount of time and the most an employee could muster was a half-hearted "sorry." Then, above all else, my order was missing shack sauce and ranch, which were both clearly on the receipt. So the food is second rate fast food garbage at a premium price and the service is worse than McDonald's tier. Maybe, if they paid more attention to their food quality and customer service and less time to their "locally sourced wood tables," it might actually be a decent establishment. Side note: it's also hilarious that they encourage you to tip the kitchen. Like for what? Tip them on not being able to make decent food, package it correctly, or provide customer service. Not much seating inside so we sat outside. We got two avocado burgers two drinks and one cheesy fries still came out to about 40 bucks. Pros: Good food Cons: Terrible service I've been here maybe 12 times since day 1 of them opening. Here are my observations: * 15 kids on shift, half of them not doing anything, looking like they don't want to be working. No hustle, no motivation, not helpful. Lazy young workers doing a bare minimum effort. This goes without saying that this doesn't apply all of the staff, but most. * Opening day I went here there was a worker on his phone outside complaining to someone that he doesn't get paid enough and doesn't get any tips. He did this openly for everyone to hear him loudly on his phone, on the property, on the first day... Not a good a look. * Chitter chatter constantly with people working in the drivethru. It takes so long to get your food- even when the place is dead late after noon. Do they not have enough cooks? Do they not have enough stoves? * Without fail, the majority of the time I have gone here one of a few things happens: they forget an item of food, they messed up an item of food, they ran out of something. I've gotten better at checking my order before I leave or pull away from the drive thru to ensure I'm not missing anything or they didn't mess up my order. But this happens a lot and I catch it more frequently now at the location. All of these things can be solved by hiring the right people and conducting the right training. I try to avoid coming to this place, simply based on the service alone which is sad because the food is pretty good. read more

We went to "this" Shake Shack in Goodyear yesterday for the first time. When we arrived 2 of the 4 self service order screens were not working and no one was at the register. We waited in line to order for about 10 minutes. While we waited at our table we noticed a huge amount of bags of pick up orders waiting to be picked up. Also, there was a long line of cars outside at the drive up window. It's no wonder that it took 40 minutes for our order to arrive! The fries and burgers we received were not hot. No way we would wait again, so we ate them. We just wanted to get out of there. As we were leaving, a huge amount of people were arriving. Good luck to them. All in all we spent well over an hour at this place. If this slow time to order and get our food was because they were swamped or under staffed, they should have temporarily shut down the online orders, if they were incapable of handling all 3 at the same time. Unfortunately, our experience left us pretty disappointed--starting with the price. $17.49 for a burger, a small fry, and a small drink? That's fast food pricing gone wild. My wife and I spent $43 on what felt like a very basic meal. When the food arrived, the disappointment continued. The burger was surprisingly small--about the size of something you'd get at McDonald's--definitely not what you'd expect for the premium price tag. While the service was quick (likely helped by the place being nearly empty), it's hard to imagine many people choosing Shake Shack over the many more reasonably priced alternatives nearby. For the same price or less, you could enjoy a better experience at places like Chili's (with their 3 for Me deal), In-N-Out, Culver's, Whataburger, or even sit-down spots like Red Robin--where $17 gets you a full meal with a drink and bottomless fries. All in all, the food wasn't terrible, but it certainly didn't justify the cost. With so many better options out there, I don't see this location thriving unless something changes. read more

Was soooo excited when we heard this place was opening. Let me tell you, the prices are insanely high. We ordered for 6 people, but $130.00 for 6 people?!?!? If it was just the insane prices it'd be enough to not return, but the lady at the drive thru window had a horrible attitude. She was bothered when we verified the total price (the total on the screen when ordering was $109.47, dollars forgive us for asking why it was $20 more when we got to the window). She slammed the window at least twice as we were asking for sauce, then brought in another employee to help? Truth is, she was tired of us asking basic questions. Now as we verify the order, we are missing two fries. We went back in and thankfully the manager on duty was very nice and gave us the fries. She indicated that the girl we had the bad experience we had in the drive thru was with an employee named "Dakota". Normally we wouldn't call someone out by name, but Shake Shack needs to know.
