The restaurant was busy but there were plenty of open tables, including a two-top by the front window. But, that choice was not given and it was quickly suggested that we head to the back. We were confused but complied. A couple of employees were back there eating and looking at their phones, no other customers. We chose a booth, and decided to just enjoy the softness of it. The food was okay and the wait was average. We ordered pork spring rolls to start. They were tender and freshly made; the peanut dipping sauce was thick and tasty. I ordered the garlic noodles for my entree. The pasta was flavorful and succulent. For an additional fee you could add a protein, so I chose chicken. I expected tender, marinated chunks woven throughout. Like the photo some took on Yelp. Instead, it was giving Denny's: dry grilled strips. No cilantro in sight, unlike the picture. I tried a spoonful of my husband's ramen. The broth was clearly handcrafted and traditional. As I delighted in its savory goodness, it came to mind immediately that he needed this comfort after a tough day. Before I could say it, he took the words out of my mouth. Mmm. He was satisfied and that made me happy. We love children and a family with two little ones were seated in the back with us after a long while. The little girl ordered with such confidence. They've been here before. Lovely restaurant with a good family vibe for a group of friends or a couple - or the senior gentlemen seated by that window seat as we left. Our food arrived promptly, and we ordered the Chicken and Waffles, Buttermilk Pancakes with Eggs and Brisket, a Sampler Platter with eggs, sausage, toast and biscuit, as well as the Mimosa Flight. However, the chicken tenders lacked seasoning and were fairly bland. With a little more flavor, this dish would be outstanding. * The Mimosa Flight was visually appealing and provided generous portions. Unfortunately, we could primarily taste the champagne and not much of the individual fruit flavors. We were hoping for a stronger flavor profile from each variety. One nice bonus was their rewards program. If you're not already a member, you can sign up during your visit, earn points on purchases, and receive $10 off your order, which is a great incentive. Despite a few issues with the brisket, mimosas, and chicken seasoning, we had a great brunch experience. The excellent service, welcoming atmosphere, and overall quality of the meal made it a place we would happily visit again. You can taste the quality and the difference compared to typical frozen wings. I love supporting small businesses, especially ones that put this much effort into their food and customer service.
