    At the drive-thru

Last month, on a Monday, I was working in my hotel room. I needed to fetch some lunch. Where should I go? I thought of White Castle. I had seen White Castle sliders at Walgreens in the frozen foods section. I have been to a White Castle in the Twin Cities in the past. I did a search and found this one that I had never been to. Perfect! I drove over to this eatery's drive-thru. It took maybe ten minutes from the hotel. I saw a sign showing a cheesy 10 sack of sliders. It was almost as if this place knew what I wanted. I had the nicest woman take my order. I then pulled up to the window and paid with a credit card. She took my credit card for processing and the transaction went smoothly. It didn't take long to get my order in a paper bag. I thanked her, grabbed my bag of sliders, and headed back to the hotel to eat in my room. The sliders at White Castle are cute. I basically had half the sliders for lunch and the other half the next day before heading to the airport to head home. Each slider came in its own box. I like how each one is protected and can be easily eaten. The downside is that it's a lot of waste for ten sliders. I liked the sliders. Each one had small onions and a pickle slice, along with cheese and a thin beef patty. Each bite melts in your mouth. The bun was so soft. It was effortless eating these sliders. Delicious! I wish that we had White Castle in Canada. I didn't get any drinks because I had some in my hotel room. I do like the shakes at White Castle. I hope to get one next time. I had a great experience here. I'll be back when I'm in Bloomington again. (438)

Jalapeño sliders- cheese NOT melted (did not request unmelted cheese)

First and last time at this location. A friend and I stopped in for a late quick dinner shortly after 8:00pm on Wednesday, 8/28/24. We were the second and third customers inside. Could see a total of 4 employees. We waited at the counter for a few minutes before the gentleman smoking outside came to help us. We gave him our order and he was too busy making side comments and joking that he missed our requests for customizations to our sliders. We noticed this and he said it was all fixed. However, when we received our order, disappointed to find out that our cheese was incorrect, so back to the counter I go. Waited another 10 minutes for new sliders with jalapeño cheese. When I received the corrected order the cheese was NOT even melted and we did not receive any pickles on our sliders which we paid for. Disappointing! I'm understanding that mistakes happen, but when you are not effectively listening to your customers when they are placing their order because you are too worried about joking around and making side comments this is frustrating. By this time, I was just annoyed and didn't want to go back up the counter for a second time for a correction to my meal, so I ended up eating one slider and told myself this is why I stick to my "OG" White Castle because they are the best location (Inver Grove Whities). This location is smaller than the one by my house and definitely less busy. Also, staff are not as attentive or welcoming. Lesson learned- stick to the location I'm familiar with.

Food was great. But by the time you receive it,you could buy a franchise, build the building and cook your own. Good luck.

Love me some White Castle! It had been so long since I had real White Castle and the burgers here did not disappoint. Service was fast and friendly and the store was clean. Works for me!

Holy crap its the first White Castle Ive been too. After seeing Harold & Kumar go to White Castle, I could only imagine what those little burgers taste like. (all we have are the frozen ones and I'm sure those cant compare to what a fresh one tastes like.) So on 5/20/09 I had my first ever WC burger! They are good, small and tasty. I just thought it was odd that someone can down like 10 of them in 1 sitting. I had 2 and one of those bbq pork sliders (which are too very good) Though I will miss these little burgers when I go back home to CA :( Just maybe one day a White Castle will pop up in my neighborhood.

Number 8 combo w/ onion chips on the side and two drinks, which had to be repeated numerous times for the order to be received correctly

Like every other White Castle in the metro area but with worse service. The food is good 90% of the time but if you are ordering for more than just yourself, good luck (and maybe go somewhere else for "fast" food)

There are, frankly, two reasons only that I drove out of my way, attempting to hunt one of these down before driving up to Minneapolis downtown. 1. I thought that Harold and Kumar go to White Castle was a total hoot... i was ROTF most of the movie (hard to believe that Kai Penn is with the Obama admin. now, eh?). So wanted to pay homage to the flick 2. My friend's boyfriend insisted that I just go, try it for the 'cultural experience' when I was visiting Chi-town last month, as it was in the Windy City that this chain started. I ran out of time, never got to go, and so making up for it. I bought one slider for 69 cents, just for the 'experience'. Feeling rather impish about my order, I shyly crawled up, and last minute, ordered an unsweetened iced tea because I felt so silly about an order less than $1. What do I say about a little 2.5 inch slider that is microwaved (if it isn't, then it certainly tastes as if it was). It had taste, yes, but why do I keep feeling that the frozen ones I have purchased in the past @ grocery markets tasted even better than these? Cult following.... cute. Minced onions are a nice touch on the very discolored square patty (shrinky dink Wendy's?). So I came, and I went...thinking, "holy cow, i've eaten fast food (which I'm not a big fan of)!". As a corollary, I then drove myself over to Penn Lake to walk it off.

The staff here when we ordered were friendly and courteous. The food wasn't bad. Definitely not something I would crave often but we had to try it since we don't have one in Iowa. Definitely cheap though! The Food: #8 combo for $14 included: 20 chicken rings - 3/5 10 sliders - 2/5 Fries - 3/5 Nothing really special. The sliders were fresh but plain. Hardly ever add salt and pepper to anything, but these sliders needed it and some ketchup as well. I gave them three stars for freshness and friendly service. Just because I didn't care much for the sliders didn't mean that you won't like them! Try it out!

    I just can't

I'm not I just can't whatever you do dont come here it is a absolute nightmare! cheese was just slapped on fresh, the fries were burnt, the nuggets were still frozen!!! this location should be shut down!!!

First white castle visit. Food is cheap and fairly tasty. I guess it's as good as any other fast food chain.

When most other fast food chains are pushing you out of eating inside the lobby this location has a very inviting team. While many other surrounding locations still have their doors locked during the day this location is open. The team is eager to greet you and ask if you need assistance with the self-kiois. When they were first installed here, I made a mistake and ordered two of the same meals and the lady without hesitation asked me if I meant to do that after handing me my food. I explained no but said it will work and she asked what did I mean to order and brought it right out without missing a beat. This location, when I visit is always before 1 pm, is spotless and fully stocked. Kudos to the General Manager, who has created a culture and environment which attracts talent. It was not a pleasure dealing with the staff and lack of management at this location 3/9-3/10/2026…read more I went in last night (3/9) with my girlfriend to try out the new frosted lemonade. We ended up waiting in the drive thru line for 10-15 minutes. Upon ordering we had made up our mind on what we wanted to place for our order. I asked for 2 four piece chicken strips, no meal, an eight piece nugget, no meal and a straw berry frosted lemonade. Once I got home I was unpleasantly surprised that our order was incorrect. No worries people make mistakes. When I gave the store a call no one picked up so I left message. Today 3/10/2026 I went in to address my issue to a manager. When I spoke to the cashier she told me to wait while she got the manager. While waiting in line I noticed the manager was standing around free of doing any tasks. The nice lady at the cash register went up to him with my receipt to tell him that I came in for a refund. He then sent which seemed to be the shift-lead to come talk with me. I told her the issue and she went back to the manager to ask what to do? All I wanted was a refund. I find the game of telephone when there is a unsatisfied customer to add insult to the problem. The shift-lead was a nice lady as well but she said that management is unable to refund my order. I found that to be unprofessional since I came into the location within 24 hours of ordering from here. She said that management does not refund orders after the day is done. The thing is I ordered at 8:13pm and by the time I got home it was past 8:30pm so I gave them a call to address my issue, which no picked up. Today when I went in I asked if their phone works which the shift-lead said yes. To verify that I actually called the store she asked me to recall in the moment to be sure. Before doing so I showed my phone call log which verified I called at 8:35pm. I also left a voicemail message so that there wouldn't be any confusion today (3/10) when I went in. Today when speaking with the shift-lead I was informed that their voicemail isn't available for them to listen to?? At this point I was beyond dissatisfied with this locations lack of professionalism. I asked for my refund because I did everything possible on my end to verify that I'm telling the truth. I was feeling gas lit as if I did something wrong. I guess I should've verified that my order was correct before going home but in reality after paying money for a service I thought it'd be done for me. I guess it's my fault for not making sure in the moment they did their job correctly. Once I got home I clearly realized that they were not doing their job correctly so I called to address. My call was not answered even though the shift lead and I both heard their phone does ring lol. It's fine again people make mistakes but what isn't fine is the lack of accountability and professionalism that took place afterwards. Realistically this should've been resolved by refunding my payment and speaking with a manager, which neither happened. I've been a manager for multiple companies and never would I find the "customer service" that was given to me to be professional, nor acceptable. It's funny given the company "chick fil a" which prides themselves on good customer service and making it a "pleasant" experience to have this disregard for resolving a customer complaint. Their resolution to this was to give me a "Be our guest" card which has 3 listed items on it, none of these items contain the actual item they messed up on. All of this could've been resolved satisfactorily by either picking up the phone the night of me calling or by refunding me the following day. Again neither of these things happened!

The interior is sterile, but at the same time a bit messy. It isn't the most welcoming space and could use an upgrade for individuals to dine in. Counter service was friendly and our food arrived decently quick. This spot falls into a similar family as Dave's Hot Chicken, with sandwiches and tenders available in a variety of spice levels. I had the tenders, with BBQ and Mild sauce. They were super yummy and juicy and came with a great dipping sauce. I also appreciated the seasoning on the fries and the pickles served with the tenders. Overall, the food outshown the ambiance of the space. I'd recommend take out if you're in the mood for some yummy chicken in the area.

The chicken here is outstanding. It's so nice to have that real chicken meat texture that tears apart instead of something more ground up with filler in it. It's juicy and tastes high quality plus the spices coated on the outside elevate things nicely. I heard the food can be pretty spicy here so I played it safe with the "Mini Coop" spice-level, which suited me well. Just the right amount to feel flavorful but the spice doesn't last once I take a bite or swig of something else. My sister can't handle spice at all so she opted for the "MN Nice" which she actually said was still kind of spicy for her. So take that as you will if you're not a fan of spice! Their special sauce is good and might remind me of Raising Cane's, though I haven't eaten there recently. The French fries and coleslaw kind of felt standard, to be honest. But I really liked the Texas Toast! Unfortunately, we didn't get to try the pint of ice cream. My wife picked up the order and didn't realize she should have looked for it in the bag. When I called the restaurant about the missing pint, they were incredibly apologetic and offered to make up for it with a pint and more next time I'd come in, but since we don't live nearby, I said just refunding the pint was fine. But knowing how much they care about customer service really did leave a good impression! I'd definitely love to eat from here again.
