Everytime I eat here I'm at the toilet 12 mins later. Guess they don't call them sliders for nothing. Do not recommend lol

Last month, on a Monday, I was working in my hotel room. I needed to fetch some lunch. Where should I go? I thought of White Castle. I had seen White Castle sliders at Walgreens in the frozen foods section. I have been to a White Castle in the Twin Cities in the past. I did a search and found this one that I had never been to. Perfect! I drove over to this eatery's drive-thru. It took maybe ten minutes from the hotel. I saw a sign showing a cheesy 10 sack of sliders. It was almost as if this place knew what I wanted. I had the nicest woman take my order. I then pulled up to the window and paid with a credit card. She took my credit card for processing and the transaction went smoothly. It didn't take long to get my order in a paper bag. I thanked her, grabbed my bag of sliders, and headed back to the hotel to eat in my room. The sliders at White Castle are cute. I basically had half the sliders for lunch and the other half the next day before heading to the airport to head home. Each slider came in its own box. I like how each one is protected and can be easily eaten. The downside is that it's a lot of waste for ten sliders. I liked the sliders. Each one had small onions and a pickle slice, along with cheese and a thin beef patty. Each bite melts in your mouth. The bun was so soft. It was effortless eating these sliders. Delicious! I wish that we had White Castle in Canada. I didn't get any drinks because I had some in my hotel room. I do like the shakes at White Castle. I hope to get one next time. I had a great experience here. I'll be back when I'm in Bloomington again. (438) read more

Only 3 stars? But why? This was my first time having a White Castle burger. I only had two (needed one more), some fries and a soda. Our order was a little over $10. I ordered my burgers with cheese. The service was quick. The place was clean. So why only 3 stars? My only gripe was the patty is on the thin side and doesn't match the photos. That being said, the overall burger with the fluffy buns, one pickle and grilled onions all come together nicely and each bite is savory yumminess. I wish we had these in California!!! read more

First and last time at this location. A friend and I stopped in for a late quick dinner shortly after 8:00pm on Wednesday, 8/28/24. We were the second and third customers inside. Could see a total of 4 employees. We waited at the counter for a few minutes before the gentleman smoking outside came to help us. We gave him our order and he was too busy making side comments and joking that he missed our requests for customizations to our sliders. We noticed this and he said it was all fixed. However, when we received our order, disappointed to find out that our cheese was incorrect, so back to the counter I go. Waited another 10 minutes for new sliders with jalapeño cheese. When I received the corrected order the cheese was NOT even melted and we did not receive any pickles on our sliders which we paid for. Disappointing! I'm understanding that mistakes happen, but when you are not effectively listening to your customers when they are placing their order because you are too worried about joking around and making side comments this is frustrating. By this time, I was just annoyed and didn't want to go back up the counter for a second time for a correction to my meal, so I ended up eating one slider and told myself this is why I stick to my "OG" White Castle because they are the best location (Inver Grove Whities). I would give this location negative stars if possible. I was in town for the first time in a decade from Colorado which doesn't have White Castle. I drove here all the way from Prior Lake just to get a few sliders and was really excited. Well, I walked in and there was nobody at the counter and nobody sitting at any of the tables. I stood there for five minutes before I started calling out to see if anyone was working. Finally three guys came up from the back with a strong smell of marijuana, and a large guy came in from the bathroom. He rudely asked "what do you want?" and when I placed my order he acted like I was inconveniencing him for ordering a chicken sandwich. Then he put his bare hands all over some buns that were sitting on a grill with some hamburger patties that look like they had been sitting there all day. I didn't want to eat any of it after he had his hands on it after coming from the bathroom so I ended up just throwing everything away. It's unbelievable how far this company has sunk. I always have wonderful service at this location. They are usually short staffed but running their butts off. Orders are correct and there is good conversation at the drive up window. It's kind of my favorite WC. Also, don't sleep on their breakfast sliders! read more

Holy crap its the first White Castle Ive been too. After seeing Harold & Kumar go to White Castle, I could only imagine what those little burgers taste like. (all we have are the frozen ones and I'm sure those cant compare to what a fresh one tastes like.) So on 5/20/09 I had my first ever WC burger! They are good, small and tasty. I just thought it was odd that someone can down like 10 of them in 1 sitting. I had 2 and one of those bbq pork sliders (which are too very good) Though I will miss these little burgers when I go back home to CA :( Just maybe one day a White Castle will pop up in my neighborhood. read more

There are, frankly, two reasons only that I drove out of my way, attempting to hunt one of these down before driving up to Minneapolis downtown. 1. I thought that Harold and Kumar go to White Castle was a total hoot... i was ROTF most of the movie (hard to believe that Kai Penn is with the Obama admin. now, eh?). So wanted to pay homage to the flick 2. My friend's boyfriend insisted that I just go, try it for the 'cultural experience' when I was visiting Chi-town last month, as it was in the Windy City that this chain started. I ran out of time, never got to go, and so making up for it. I bought one slider for 69 cents, just for the 'experience'. Feeling rather impish about my order, I shyly crawled up, and last minute, ordered an unsweetened iced tea because I felt so silly about an order less than $1. What do I say about a little 2.5 inch slider that is microwaved (if it isn't, then it certainly tastes as if it was). It had taste, yes, but why do I keep feeling that the frozen ones I have purchased in the past @ grocery markets tasted even better than these? Cult following.... cute. Minced onions are a nice touch on the very discolored square patty (shrinky dink Wendy's?). So I came, and I went...thinking, "holy cow, i've eaten fast food (which I'm not a big fan of)!". The staff here when we ordered were friendly and courteous. The food wasn't bad. Definitely not something I would crave often but we had to try it since we don't have one in Iowa. Definitely cheap though! The Food: #8 combo for $14 included: 20 chicken rings - 3/5 10 sliders - 2/5 Fries - 3/5 Nothing really special. The sliders were fresh but plain. Hardly ever add salt and pepper to anything, but these sliders needed it and some ketchup as well. I gave them three stars for freshness and friendly service. Just because I didn't care much for the sliders didn't mean that you won't like them! Try it out! read more

Look, I don't know if WC really ought to be reviewed unless something horrible happens. We all come here because we want something cheap, easy, and onion-y at a ridiculously inappropriate time of the day, typically. No one wants to admit that they like WC foods. Well, I'm not ashamed. It fulfills a need that no other fast-food burger can, and their fish nibblers are actually really delish. So, you'll find me checking in here again at some point when I can't put my finger on my hunger and just know that I need some comfort food that I don't have to make for myself. The staff here are friendly and there's not usually a long wait inside or at the drive-thru. They can fudge on the sauces every now and again, so if this is important to you, check them before you leave. If you've got a hungry teen on your hands, it's amazing what $20 can do to fill that bottomless pit. The double bacon cheeseburgers work, as do the sausage breakfast sandwiches (these things are ridiculously tasty). So, don't be ashamed. Or, be ashamed and go anyway. You know you want to. The only caveat I have is to pay cash. For whatever reason, I end up having to get a new card when I pay with plastic at a fast-food joint. I don't take the chance and just use paper and coin. I've eaten the frozen version of sliders infrequently for years, and had to try freshly made ones since I was in an area where I could find some. I don't particularity like them as much as regular burgers, (seems like I just taste onions) so I had high hopes that these would be better. I arrived around lunchtime, and they were busy, assuring me that my sliders weren't sitting around. After about five minutes they called out my name to pick up the order. Our previous rating still applies. We just wanted to write a quick update to say that this is still one of the Best White Castles we've ever been to. The staff is always friendly. The restaurant is always clean and inviting. On our recent visit, we placed our order and waited a few minutes (the wait was really not long at all for the huge #9 order that we placed to satiate our craving). When I went to the counter to pick up our order, both the manager and cash register attendant apologized profusely for the long wait. I told them that the wait was nothing at all, that we'd hardly noticed it, and that we'd waited a lot longer for similar orders at other Slider restaurants. They thanked us for being great customers and still wanted to apologize for the wait by giving us two free drinks and one of their new desserts to try. Our only complaint is that we will not be in town for their Valentine's Day event. Twenty Five Years of Love in the Castle is something that we hate to miss. read more

Probably by far one of the worst fast food's I have ever had in my life. The level of disappointment I am feeling right now is unbelievable.....The burgers were flavorless and sloppily assembled. I know that I shouldn't have expected much being it was a quick service restaurant, but these little burgers just overwhelming did not satisfy any sort of craving that I had whatsoever. Where do I even start! The employee's were very rude. I asked for no onions on my burgers and asked them to fix it. They told me it wasent on their screen and I didnt read my receipt to fix it so it was my fault. Then the burgers were half cooked and made sloppy. My bread was soggy and falling apart. The 4 stars are because of the service I received on Valentine's Day. The kid who took our order was a better waiter than any waiter at a "nice" restaurant on Valentine's Day. This is the best WC I know around in the metro area. It's actually clean and nice looking. It's not gross and disgusting like the WCs in Minneapolis on Lake Street. Screw those places. This place has friendly employees, and the food is always ready on time. I go to no other WC now. (The last time I went to a WC in Minneapolis I got harassed by some scumbag loser who was complaining about the fact he ordered a medium drink and was charged for a large. Apparently, he could only afford the small price tag of the of a $2 drink, and, when he tried to order two extra burgers, his card wouldn't work anymore. Boohoo! We just relocated, and have never had White Castle, so we had to come for a visit. We walked in and the floor was dirty. I don't mean like someone spilled a drink or debris was on floor. I mean the floor was black. It hadn't met a mop in a very long time. I stopped in my tracks, but hubby convinced me to go in. There were lots of crumbs on all of the counters. Not just by the register where we order, but also where they prepare food, which made me wonder how long it had been since the counters were washed. I'm sure most people would classify White Castle as drunk food or just for late-night. Not me. I went in around 4 p.m. the other day - stone-cold sober. I went there on purpose - not just because it was nearby. I sought it out. Like Harold and Kumar, I traveled far (from Maryland! Though not just for White Castle) to taste these scrumptious morsels. But really, what's not to love? Greasy, little sliders that taste mostly like onions and pickles (especially when you add extra pickles). Crinkle cut fries that aren't totally mushy. Quick service. Cheap prices. I grew up on these babies and they will always have a special place in my heart. I go back every chance I get. read more
