When you find one unexpectedly, it's a heavenly vibe

The Drive to Hollywood Casino Aurora from Chicago late at night is a long, lonely, dark stretch of road heavily patrolled by police because it is tough not to want to speed on over to Galena and Stolp. Just before that on 31, out of nowhere, just like the movie (Harold and Kumar) the majestic lights of this place pops up. This place offers 24/7 drive thru. The only painful part of eating here is the soul crushing drive thru line at 3am when only hungry gambling degenerates and late night snack fiends need a slider fix that needs to be addressed. I was the latter; my buddy driving was the former. For not much, was able to buy a few sliders with fries and a drink and I was in heaven. Keep in mind, I am from California so when I see this establishment, I hear that joyous music of pure satisfaction when the order is placed in my hands! Cheese sliders with fries and drink is around $8-9. Tastes best hot out of the bag. The staff at the Aurora White Castle are the most lovingest Fast Food Angels you could ever counter. The drive thru wait at 3am on a Sunday? With about 7-8 vehicles ahead of me? 25 minutes. But it was worth the wait and I'd do it again.

It took 10 minutes for them to notice that we were even there. The bbq powdered chicken rings were awful I only ate one and I threw the thing away. The mozzarella sticks were really good. Sliders great as usual. The loaded fries were great.

Sometimes, it's what I crave. They have good sliders, fast and easy. They're small, so I would need about 4 of them for a meal. They run about $0.77 - $2.79. The most expensive one is the chicken and waffle slider, which is pretty delicious. For Valentine's day each year, you can make a reservation for dinner. This was the first year that you could actually make your reservation through OpenTables, which I thought was pretty neat. They decorate the restaurant and have table service. Food prices are still the same, but you'll have to splurge on a tip. ....| \ _ , , , - - , , _ , .../ , ` . - ' ` ' . _ \ - ; ; ; , _ ..| , a - ) ) _ . ; . Absolutely fantastic! I originally didn't think much of this place when checking out the menu…read moreonline because the food choices didn't look super interesting and the prices were a bit on the lower side. I was pleasantly surprised to see that I was completely wrong --- the portions are enormous, the textures are great, the flavors are incredible, and everything I tried was done very well. This is on top of fast friendly service, and a very unique interior. I went here with 3 friends and would absolutely love to come back again soon with even more. As I mentioned, the food here is just awesome. It's clear how much care is put into every single dish with the great presentation, attention to small details, and refined product. I highly recommend the tuna poke, maybe one of the best versions I've ever had of this dish. This has plenty of fish on top of extremely crispy wonton chips. The mix of creamy avocado puree, jalapeno salsa, honey wasabi, and sriracha aioli is incredible. This reminds me of the bold flavor combinations at Girl and the Goat at a lower price point. The bang bang shrimp was another winner with super crispy tempura shrimp served with a delicious sweet chili sauce and cabbage slaw. For anyone who's ever had this dish at Bonefish Grill, you'll be thrilled with this version as well which comes with a very generous amount of shrimp. The burgers were also on point -- both enormous in size and full of flavor in every layer. In addition to perfectly cooked patties (this was great for both the beef and bison I tried), I was pleased that all the components of the burger were very flavorful and well done. That is, the brioche bread was slightly toasted inside, the pickles had just the right level of acidity and texture, the pork belly was super flavorful in itself and cooked great without making the dish feel too fatty, the egg was slightly runny, and the vegetables were all super fresh. Unsurprisingly, their sides were prepared to perfection as well -- with crunchy onion rings and super tasty fries. Overall, this restaurant is worth a special trip and I aim to try every single starter they make soon. It's not often that I'll be thinking about a restaurant long after dining there but the excellence displayed here has left a lasting impression both with myself and my friends that dined here. The excellent meal here definitely made for a very memorable birthday dinner for the party.

We started with an order of their Street Corn Deviled Eggs which were amazing..super creamy. They do have a GF menu so my wife had a bowl of their homemade chili and I had their Italian Beef Bao trio. Both were delicious and very meaty. They have an extension whiskey/bourbon list plus their burgers looked amazing. We will definitely be back!

We came on a Saturday night and it was pretty busy so if you can make reservations that could save you some time. If you end up waiting, there is a cool game room with pinball, pac mac, and other games which is pretty neat! It was too cold when we went but there also looks to be a nice patio out back for when the weather warms up. Parking can be tough though FYI! Our waitress was Candy and she was excellent! She provided great recommendations and was on top of taking our order, drink refills, and checking up without it feeling pushy or rushed. We started with cheese curds which were crisp and fluffy. For my meal I tried the brisket mac and cheese which hit the spot. The portion was generous and it came with the perfect ratio of mac and cheese to brisket. The side of garlic toast was also crispy and was perfect for wiping up all the extra cheese sauce. We didn't partake in any of the epic milkshakes this time but we did get a regular cookies and cream shake which was the perfect way to round out the meal.

That's where things started to slip. Drinks took about 15 minutes. Apps? Another 20. Then we ordered our mains: a "You're the one for me, Fatty!" burger and a cheesesteak. Those took over an hour... To their credit, the food itself was solid. Burger looked like the photos, tasted great. Fries were crispy and well-seasoned. No complaints there. But the wait? Completely unreasonable--especially with no explanation or apology. Everyone on the patio seemed stuck in the same delay, then suddenly food started coming out in waves like a switch flipped. Felt like a kitchen issue, but no communication from staff made it worse. We finished up and ordered a milkshake to share. It came out fast--almost too fast. The cake on top was stale and rock hard, basically inedible, and the shake tasted like plain vanilla instead of Biscoff. For $16, that's just not acceptable. Our server did comp the shake and gave us a voucher for a future visit, which I appreciate, but it doesn't undo the experience. Overall, this trip was very disappointing, especially for my girlfriend's first visit. I've been coming here for years, so it's frustrating to see the drop-off. Hoping this was just an off night, but this one missed the mark.

It actually is one of the area's several pretty okay restaurants. For sure better than yet another chain. The prices are kind of high and the menu is kind of limited to be honest. This is also a restaurant that has an open kitchen so you can see them cooking from even the patio or wherever. Just expensive. That's about the worst thing about it. It's about $8 for a basic cocktail. The nicer ones are a lot more. It's about $19 for an entree. Limited choices here for vegetarians. I got the Pasta Pomodoro.
