The only reason this isn't a one-star review is that the food was actually good, but everything else was a complete disaster. ​I was the only person in the restaurant and still waited over 15 minutes for a simple burger and drink. The floors were incredibly sticky throughout the dining area, which was gross. To make matters worse, I actually had to remind the staff to give me the cup I paid for, and they responded by asking "if it was for me"--as if I hadn't just ordered it. ​The most off-putting part was the atmosphere; the employees were openly cussing and criticizing other customers within earshot of the lobby. It's a shame the service and cleanliness are so subpar because the kitchen is actually doing a good job with the food. I won't be rushing back to this location. read more

After many years not located in the Chicagoland area,I was delighted that Jack In The Box is back with a few locations. Went on a Saturday for lunch and it was not crowded at all. You order thru the kiosk and they call your order number when ready. I had to have their tacos..2 for 1.49..lol. tasted the same as I remember them years ago. My wife is gluten free so there were not many options. She had their grilled chicken sandwich on a lettuce wrap with their Good Good sauce. She said it wasn't bad. It seems you wait longer for you food than other fast food restaurants but it is probably because they are still fairly new .. not sure. Plenty of parking plus a drive thru option. Award points can be earned thru their app. They serve beakfast items all day plus a large selection of burgers ,chicken sandwiches and salads but I will stick with my favorite.. tacos! read more

We spent Saturday morning hiking in and around Naperville and this recently re-opened in Illinois restaurant chain was calling to my husband. He craves their greasy tacos and would get them every time we visited family in Arizona after the franchise was banned in Illinois. We ordered at the kiosk so I could see all the gluten free options and our order was freshly made in about ten minutes. It was pretty empty for noon on a weekend. The decor is big on the clownish cartoon mascot Jack. A nostalgic moment was had recalling our dating days going through the drive thru for a late night snack after a night at a disco or bar or returning from one of our band's gigs. There is so much wrong with this place. My husband's fault for wanting to come here. We had never been to a JIB before. The place was so loud and so cold, and the wait for the food (not including the long line was half an hour! Thank goodness I had my usual avocado in my bag. I write reviews from a vegan, vegetarian and omnivore point of view. Nothing vegan here. Vegetarians might get by with a LOT of modifications and omnivore and omnivore can do just fine. I was gassing up next door at Casey's when I saw this Jack and thought, why not pick up something. The only northside Jack in the box I knew of closed down many years back. Purchased a couple burgers to go. A Jack Jr and another double Jack with the addition of bacon. The fast food joint was dead at 8 pm. It also didn't look as if the store had many employees working so I wondered how long it could take to get a couple burgers to go. Surprisingly, they came out fairly quickly. Later when I had the chance to pull over and eat... Ugh. Lousy burger. Lettuce was wet and wilted. The beef patties needed to be cooked fully, the mouth feel was medium. It was gross. I was genuinely excited to try Jack in the Box for the first time. People from other states have been hyping it up for years, so when the Naperville location finally opened, I expected at least decent fast food. Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing fast-food experiences I've had in a long time. I ordered quite a few items because I wanted to sample the menu. Half & Half Fries: The regular fries were cold, hard, and tasted stale. Honestly, they were inedible. The curly fries had potential, but instead of getting actual curly potato spirals, most of what I got were dried-out little half-moon pieces that had clearly been sitting around way too long. Classic Crispy Jack Wrap: The chicken itself wasn't terrible, but it wasn't anything special either. The bigger issue was the tortilla, which was stale and crunchy around the edges. It literally crumbled apart when I took a bite and made a mess. Two Tacos: I was probably most excited about these because so many people have recommended them. Surprisingly, I think Burger King's tacos are better. The meat had a strange pasty texture, and the lettuce was mostly hard, flavorless core pieces that made them unpleasant to eat. Junior Chicken Sandwich: Not awful, not great. Just kind of "meh." Again, the lettuce was mostly the tough core pieces, and the chicken was about what I'd expect from a $3 sandwich. Junior Jumbo Jack Cheeseburger: Dry, tiny, and poorly assembled. Half the bun was off the burger, toppings were falling out into the wrapper, and the whole thing looked like it had been flattened before being served. Mini Churros: Probably the best thing I ordered. I'd maybe get them again. The filling was oddly reminiscent of apple pie filling without actually tasting like apples, which was strange but not bad. What really sealed the deal for me was the customer service. After realizing the fries were cold, stale, and inedible, I called the restaurant and politely asked if I could speak with a manager about replacing them or getting fresh fries. I was told there wasn't a manager available and then the employee hung up on me. If the food is bad, at least make an effort to fix it. Instead, I got stale food and worse customer service. Overall, I left incredibly disappointed. Looking around, I can understand now why every time I drive by this location it looks closed. It's not because they're closed--it's because nobody seems to be eating there. People waited a long time for Jack in the Box to finally come to Illinois, and it feels like management has completely dropped the ball. Some of these items could probably be decent if they were served fresh and prepared correctly. Instead, everything tasted like it had been sitting around for hours. The most frustrating part is that this location has accumulated a mountain of negative reviews, yet nothing seems to improve. At this point, if Jack in the Box cares about its reputation, someone higher up should probably take a look at what's happening here. I wanted this place to be good. I was rooting for it. Instead, it was stale, poorly prepared, and backed up by customer service that couldn't be bothered to address a legitimate complaint. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more

The new Jack in the Box in Naperville (off Ogden) still has a long way to go. Everything was extremely slow--ordering, waiting, and even receiving food took much longer than it should have. We ordered two combos (a Bacon Double Smash Jack and a Double Jack with Bacon), but when we got home, our bag had one burger, fries from a different order, and mini tacos we never ordered. I called the store to let them know half our food was missing, but instead of confirming my order number over the phone, I was told we had to bring everything back so they could remake it. When we returned, the inside was at least clean, but much of the restaurant wasn't even fully set up or working. The staff confirmed items were missing and remade the food, but by the time we got back home, some of the food was fresh and warm while the rest was cold. I'm giving two stars: one for the food being okay, and one for the clean dining area. But between the wasted time, lack of organization, and overall incompetence, I won't be going back anytime soon. read more

I've read other reviews so I tried to wait for this place to 'work out the kinks,'..I don't think that they have. 5:30pm and we were the only car there,even though Ogden was full of traffic. We ordered 2 tacos,a ultimate bacon cheeseburger,curly fries,and a soda. I was most excited 4 the tacos because those were my go to. I was so disappointed,they were beyond greasy and has that old oil smell,so we tossed them. Burger King has a better(similar) taco..its served at the location near Lemobt rd,near a dollar tree. The burger was ok,nothing special for the price,but they did grill the onions when we asked them too,which is great! The curly fries smelled like old oil and were too greasy,someone needs 2 be trained on those fried foods. The 2 stars are for the great customer service,ok burger,and very large medium sized soda. First of all, it had a big built in sign above the door that says "Open Late" but they close at 10pm. Then they have an after hours and online pick up window, but it's not in use. So get here by 10pm or they will threaten to fight you. Seriously, when I complained about them being closed to an employee who was cleaning up the lot after 10pm he told me to get out of my car and say it to his face. Finally today we got here much earlier for dinner; the place is empty. They made the food and then kept it behind the counter getting cold for five minutes until I could get someone's attention and tell them my name and then another two minutes while the got the food from behind the wall. Nobody greeted me or acknowledged me in any way. Pathetic. The tacos were greasy messes that tasted very strange. They were out of onions even though it seems nobody eats here. I like Jack. Since they opened last summer, I stop there a few tines a month, usually in the morning. When I do, I am consistently receipt #3000 (e.g. their first indoor Customer). Their food is good, and the staff is always friendly - essential in the morning! As a frequent Customer, I do have some observations, though: 1. They are SLOW. This morning, I waited at an empty counter for 7 minutes before I was even ACKNOWLEDGED. Several people backstage saw me, but did not react... that won't do. I dislike Drive Through's - too many innocent mistakes, and when it's 4* outside, it fools the food too much. I go inside for Human Interaction, even though I take-out and eat in the car (nicer ambience). 2. They are SLOW, typically 7+ minutes from pay to food. I understand I'm usually the first Indoor customer,and the food is made to order. But at G&G or McD's a quarter mile away, I be average 2 minutes from pay to food. Just sayin'. 3. When i get the food, it's never HOT. Warm, maybe, lukewarm, never "cold", but never HOT, either. On 4* Chicago mornings, I want HOT! 4. They open too late. McD's is open at 5, G&G at 7. Jack doesn't open his eyes until 8, and then I need to factor in "slow + slow". I'd stop more often if they were open earlier. Maybe the food would be hotter? None of these are reasons not to go - just personal specific gripes. I'm a "hard customer", at 65, remembering what Customer Service used to be before this gansta Internet Age. Perhaps I've outlived *MY* usefulness. It's up to the Franchisee where to go from here. I'm just providing feedback. read more

Growing up in Southern California I went to Jack In The Box several times a week and probably 4 days a week while in high school. Thrilled to see Jack In The Box arrive in the Midwest. I even heard IN-N-Out Burger is heading East! Must be a trend! Well be sure to visit the Naperville location. I love the Santa Fe Chicken Salad. The Teriyaki Bowl is my favorite. Can't go wrong with any burger on the menu. The buns are delicious. Try the curly fries. Love the chocolate shakes! Very friendly folks at this location. The ample sized dining room is nice and bright and welcoming. Nice place to just hang out with friends. Big parking lot. Drive through if you're on the go! read more

I gave it a 2 only because the food was good. The service was horrible. I could hear the staff commenting about an order they were preparing, ordered well done, making rude comments about the person ordering it. I was waiting for my food, tried to get a staff members attention (some were just standing there) to get my drink cup before my food, and a staff member ordered another staff member "to see what she wants" very rudely. The team lead, Jay, is easily the worst employee I have ever seen at any fast food establishment. I dined in and received food that was noticeably cold to the touch. When I requested new food, Jay told me there would be a wait but refused to tell me for how long. Jay also never once changed their gloves and cross-contaminated everything. Spent over 40 minutes in drive-thru with only 5 cars in front of me. Ordered two orders of tacos, burger and fries and received one order of tacos. Was handed my food and employee asked if I needed anything else. I responded that I need my Diet Coke I ordered. Employee said they didn't have Diet Coke. Less than 5 minutes in the drive-thru from time of order to food. Tacos were just how I remembered them 20 years ago the last time jack in the box was around. Im actually suprised that I loved the burger more than the tacos. The tacos were warm but the burger was super hot and fresh and delicious. I ate in my car but went in for a refill.
