After many years not located in the Chicagoland area,I was delighted that Jack In The Box is back with a few locations. Went on a Saturday for lunch and it was not crowded at all. You order thru the kiosk and they call your order number when ready. I had to have their tacos..2 for 1.49..lol. tasted the same as I remember them years ago. My wife is gluten free so there were not many options. She had their grilled chicken sandwich on a lettuce wrap with their Good Good sauce. She said it wasn't bad. It seems you wait longer for you food than other fast food restaurants but it is probably because they are still fairly new .. not sure. Plenty of parking plus a drive thru option. Award points can be earned thru their app. They serve beakfast items all day plus a large selection of burgers ,chicken sandwiches and salads but I will stick with my favorite.. tacos!

We spent Saturday morning hiking in and around Naperville and this recently re-opened in Illinois restaurant chain was calling to my husband. He craves their greasy tacos and would get them every time we visited family in Arizona after the franchise was banned in Illinois. We ordered at the kiosk so I could see all the gluten free options and our order was freshly made in about ten minutes. It was pretty empty for noon on a weekend. The decor is big on the clownish cartoon mascot Jack. A nostalgic moment was had recalling our dating days going through the drive thru for a late night snack after a night at a disco or bar or returning from one of our band's gigs. Thanks for the memories Jack!

Happy to see Jack in the Box returning to the Chicago area. This location is on Ogden avenue just east of Naperville Road. My tip is to review the menu before placing your order at the kiosk.

Who would sit next to two tables of loud brats on purpose?

There is so much wrong with this place. My husband's fault for wanting to come here. We had never been to a JIB before. The place was so loud and so cold, and the wait for the food (not including the long line was half an hour! Thank goodness I had my usual avocado in my bag. I write reviews from a vegan, vegetarian and omnivore point of view. Nothing vegan here. Vegetarians might get by with a LOT of modifications and omnivore and omnivore can do just fine. The service could be a lot better, and all of the self-order kiosks are out of order. Never coming back.

Arrived at this location at 8:45 pm on a Saturday night. We were going to go inside to eat with our 11 month old toddler. Get to the door and it locked. People are inside. Hours are not posted on the door. Very disappointing and inconvenient. In addition, this location is still not showing up on the app so you cannot order ahead or use any app promotions.

2 tacos and an egg roll should NOT take 25 minutes in the drive thru.
Bonnie B.

DO NOT RECOMMEND! 25 minutes in the drive-thru for an egg roll and 2 tacos. And on top of that issue, Burger King tacos are much tastier than the ones this location is serving. You'd think the tacos would be hot and fresh after waiting so long but they were cold, stale, and the lettuce inside was complete mush. I can't believe I failed to read all the Yelp and Google reviews before giving this place a shot. Bunch of lazy clueless teenagers just standing around in plain sight doing diddly squat. Save your time and money.

No, there is no after hours pick up.
Erick R.

First of all, it had a big built in sign above the door that says "Open Late" but they close at 10pm. Then they have an after hours and online pick up window, but it's not in use. So get here by 10pm or they will threaten to fight you. Seriously, when I complained about them being closed to an employee who was cleaning up the lot after 10pm he told me to get out of my car and say it to his face. Finally today we got here much earlier for dinner; the place is empty. They made the food and then kept it behind the counter getting cold for five minutes until I could get someone's attention and tell them my name and then another two minutes while the got the food from behind the wall. Nobody greeted me or acknowledged me in any way. Pathetic. The tacos were greasy messes that tasted very strange. They were out of onions even though it seems nobody eats here. Good luck, Jack in the Box, and good luck to anyone who eats here.

Bacon cheeseburger

I grew up eating Jack in the box in California. This ain't that!!! I've read other reviews so I tried to wait for this place to 'work out the kinks,'..I don't think that they have. 5:30pm and we were the only car there, even though Ogden was full of traffic. We ordered 2 tacos,a ultimate bacon cheeseburger, curly fries, and a soda. I was most excited 4 the tacos because those were my go to. I was so disappointed, they were beyond greasy and has that old oil smell,so we tossed them. Burger King has a better(similar) taco..its served at the location near Lemobt rd,near a dollar tree. The burger was ok,nothing special for the price, but they did grill the onions when we asked them too, which is great! The curly fries smelled like old oil and were too greasy, someone needs 2 be trained on those fried foods. The 2 stars are for the great customer service,ok burger, and very large medium sized soda. I won't return until I start seeing cars there because that might mean that they improved.

An empty counter. I wait.

I like Jack. Since they opened last summer, I stop there a few tines a month, usually in the morning. When I do, I am consistently receipt #3000 (e.g. their first indoor Customer). Their food is good, and the staff is always friendly - essential in the morning! As a frequent Customer, I do have some observations, though: 1. They are SLOW. This morning, I waited at an empty counter for 7 minutes before I was even ACKNOWLEDGED. Several people backstage saw me, but did not react... that won't do. I dislike Drive Through's - too many innocent mistakes, and when it's 4* outside, it fools the food too much. I go inside for Human Interaction, even though I take-out and eat in the car (nicer ambience). 2. They are SLOW, typically 7+ minutes from pay to food. I understand I'm usually the first Indoor customer, and the food is made to order. But at G&G or McD's a quarter mile away, I be average 2 minutes from pay to food. Just sayin'. 3. When i get the food, it's never HOT. Warm, maybe, lukewarm, never "cold", but never HOT, either. On 4* Chicago mornings, I want HOT! 4. They open too late. McD's is open at 5, G&G at 7. Jack doesn't open his eyes until 8, and then I need to factor in "slow + slow". I'd stop more often if they were open earlier. Maybe the food would be hotter? None of these are reasons not to go - just personal specific gripes. I'm a "hard customer", at 65, remembering what Customer Service used to be before this gansta Internet Age. Perhaps I've outlived *MY* usefulness. It's up to the Franchisee where to go from here. I'm just providing feedback.

This place needs organization and structure, perhaps retraining management? Just to get to order is a hot mess.

It won't be your favorite place but a safe bet when you and your friends can't decide where to go. Service (B+) Staff is well trained and they bring the food out to you in a fairly timely manner. Nothing exceptional, nothing disappointing. Quality (B+) The food was not great and it was not bad. I got the steak fajitas and was disappointed with the lack of steak and small portion size. For the amount I paid I was expecting more. Will post pic and you can decide. The family got a mix of tacos. The kiddos like the beef tacos and my wife got a few veggie ones. They liked them but nothing memorable. We were not super hungry and went for an early dinner since it was a school night but finished all the food. I did enjoy the chips and salsa and I liked the beans. I wouldn't go back specifically for them but I would enjoy if I ever go again. Value (B) It was around $100 out the door for 4 people which I thought was a bit expensive. We did get a dessert but no appetizers. It feels like a soulless Mexican concept in downtown Naperville. Yes all the staff is trained and yes the food is not bad. But nothing memorable, just checking the boxes. I probably won't go again but won't object if we decide to go. You won't be impressed but you probably won't be disappointed. There are so many other places I can think of to go for Mexican over this place. If it was cheaper it would be nice - but it is priced too high for the quality and quantity of food. If you have never had Mexican food - this would be a good starter restaurant

Looooove this place!! If you are looking for a hole in the wall, no frills, authentic Mexican…read morerestaurant...then this is not the place for you. Quiubo has fantastic margaritas (some of the best I've ever had) and cocktails. No artificial flavors or syrups are used so they're fresh and delicious every single time. They don't use margarita glasses, which I prefer, since places that do use them typically have bad and overly citrusy/sweet margs. Their bartending staff is limited since the bar space is a little small so drinks can take a while but it doesn't bother me since the drinks are amazing and worth the wait in my opinion. The food is pricey and the portions small, but this is a fancier/gourmet Mexican restaurant. You're paying for the quality ingredients. Aside from the price, the food itself is really good. Even though this place has "fancier" Mexican food, all of it is authentic and delicious. But, like I mentioned earlier, if you want no frills Mexican food, this is not the place for you. I come here at least once a month and am never disappointed! Pricing is on par with Chicago restaurants of this caliber which is the trend Naperville is heading towards so take that into consideration if you're trying to find somewhere cheap to eat.

I got the pastor tacos, esquites and the fresona. The fresona was pretty tasty, my date said it was a bit strong, I personally thought it was fine. The esquites were pretty tasty as well but a tad bit salty. The pastor tacos were also pretty good but I was kinda let down, usually pastor tacos are made with a fatty pork meat not ground pork. Also the meat mixture had a similar texture to chili, which was weird. However, they still tasted good. My date enjoyed his food and while it was pretty good it wasn't anything to rave about 3.75/5.

Our party of 3 was pretty hungry after an evening of outdoor music, so we each ordered a torta--one steak, one chicken, and one chorizo. We were surprised the specialty drinks (horchata, agua de Jamaica) were also self serve. Please keep in mind that we were there with less than an hour to close, so we understood why the horchata wasn't refilled. The chips were a little stale, but the guacamole had good flavor and good consistency. The tortas had enough meat on each of them, the bread was toasted to perfection, and the flavors of each meat were delicious. There were enough toppings, but collectively, we wished there was avocado on the sandwich. Overall, we appreciated them being open, appreciated the cleanliness, and were satisfied with the sandwiches. We would eat there again if we were in the area!

Having just left a less-than-stellar Yelp review for the Jack down the street, I feel compelled to…read moreaddress the REAL star of this part of Naperville - Guzman and Gomez. I've been there several dozen times since I discovered them - always in the morning, and have never used the drive-through: I dislike drive-throughs, and prefer the human interaction inside, although I *do* eat in the car, listening to the news on my way to dialysis. I've never had a "bad", or "less than Great!" experience there. The staff is wonderful, friendly, chipper (needed at 8:00 AM when I visit before the Clinic!), and in a good mood. I hope the G&G Management could give these folks an award - they honestly CARE about Customer Service, and how they represent the Brand. Kudos! Now, the food - I think I've had everything on the Morning Menu. I have NO IDEA what they serve later in the day. Someday I'll stop to find out. The Morning Menu is somewhat limited. But everything is GOOD. Really good! My favorite by far is the Bacon & Egg Burrito - nice, crunchy bacon, flavorful, and HOT (temperature! Essential on a 4* Chicago morning). The Chorizo is also quite good... except I wish the sausage was shredded, versus a link of it lying there. Me being me, I wish the potatoes weren't in the burrito, but oh, well. Separate Hash Browns give me the varied texture I crave. I don't eat inside, but the dining area is clean and well-policed (it oughtta be, at 8AM!), as I stop to "fix-up" my burritos with onions and cilantro on my way out to the car. I gave nothing bad to say! The overall experience is top-notch! But, I can't review without an obligatory Gripe - not about this specific restaurant, but about G&G Corporate: Why can't you folks offer the PERFECT breakfast burrito? Steak, Egg, Cheese, Fried Onions? The Restaurant down at Union Station, years ago, used to offer this; I used to get almost one a day! Nowadays, lacking that, I need to stop at McD's across the street (itself running like a well-oiled machine!) to get my beef jollies. The Jack down the road can't HOPE to compete with you guys!! If you menu'd this, I'd stop far more often than twice a week. But, "stop I do!", and I have such a pleasant experience, every time. Again, G&G Naperville truly deserves an AWARD for doing EVERYTHING RIGHT. At 65 and cranky with this Graceless Gangster Interweb Age we live in, I am *very* hard to impress. I'm impressed. Thanks!
