When you find one unexpectedly, it's a heavenly vibe

The Drive to Hollywood Casino Aurora from Chicago late at night is a long, lonely, dark stretch of road heavily patrolled by police because it is tough not to want to speed on over to Galena and Stolp. Just before that on 31, out of nowhere, just like the movie (Harold and Kumar) the majestic lights of this place pops up. This place offers 24/7 drive thru. The only painful part of eating here is the soul crushing drive thru line at 3am when only hungry gambling degenerates and late night snack fiends need a slider fix that needs to be addressed. I was the latter; my buddy driving was the former. For not much, was able to buy a few sliders with fries and a drink and I was in heaven. Keep in mind, I am from California so when I see this establishment, I hear that joyous music of pure satisfaction when the order is placed in my hands! Cheese sliders with fries and drink is around $8-9. Tastes best hot out of the bag. The staff at the Aurora White Castle are the most lovingest Fast Food Angels you could ever counter. The drive thru wait at 3am on a Sunday? With about 7-8 vehicles ahead of me? 25 minutes. But it was worth the wait and I'd do it again.

It took 10 minutes for them to notice that we were even there. The bbq powdered chicken rings were awful I only ate one and I threw the thing away. The mozzarella sticks were really good. Sliders great as usual. The loaded fries were great.

Sometimes, it's what I crave. They have good sliders, fast and easy. They're small, so I would need about 4 of them for a meal. They run about $0.77 - $2.79. The most expensive one is the chicken and waffle slider, which is pretty delicious. For Valentine's day each year, you can make a reservation for dinner. This was the first year that you could actually make your reservation through OpenTables, which I thought was pretty neat. They decorate the restaurant and have table service. Food prices are still the same, but you'll have to splurge on a tip. ....| \ _ , , , - - , , _ , .../ , ` . - ' ` ' . _ \ - ; ; ; , _ ..| , a - ) ) _ . ; . Staff is always friendly, food is cooked fresh or fresh as can be, a slow line but worth it in a crunch.

30 minutes in the drive through. Ugh. Not sure what the issue is, but killed my evening. Should have left, but already paid.

I asked my husband to run out and grab dinner for us and after 18299292 different cravings.... I went with raising canes. He got to this location around 530 and although it was busy, he was able to order and head back out within 10 minutes. Similar to other locations, this 1 has a drive thru and indoor seating. I was not in the mood to be out so this was a grab n go situation. Food is always top tier in my opinion. We got 2 combo boxes which come with finger tenders, slaw, fries, garlic bread and a drink. The finger tenders are my favorite when it comes to fast food. Cant go wrong from here. Honestly you can't go from with any of the items. Everything goes well together and the garlic bread?! Never skip on it - it's the perfect buttery, fluffy and oh so yummy piece of bread. We got sweet tea and lemonade for our drinks and we both preferred the sweet tea.

I've consumed my fair share of disgusting comestibles: Balls, Bugs, Innards, Stinky Cheeses,…read morequestionable seafoods and even a few things from McDonalds. Nothing could have prepared me for seeing a Popeye's commercial touting "Pickle Lemonade". That's Lemonade, (a sweet, refreshing, citrus quaff, always welcome) with added pickle flavoring. I like lemonade, I like pickles. But I didn't, in my wildest imagination ever think those twains would meet. Yet, here I am; yes a barking seal, in line at Popeyes-for Chicken? Nay nay, my fine culinary friends. for PICKLE LEMONADE! The girl on the squawker was 1000% unintelligible, Couldn't understand a fucking word she was saying-it DID cross my mind, she was speaking in foreign tongue telling the staff "There's a gringo out here actually ordering the PICKLE LEMONADE!!!!" That exact sentiment was crossing my mind at that exact instant, truth be known. About $3.50 for what looked like a medium drink. I took a sip, and was mildly surprised. It tasted like Lemonade with a dose of the juice from a jar of Claussen cold-pack Kosher Pickles. Actually not bad. Not awful at all. I don't know if I would want this as a regular beverage, but it wasn't a terrible place to visit. Then it hit me: what this needed was A SHOT OF VODKA! Upon my returning to Stately Breakwind Manor, I reached for the emergency small bottle of Tito's I keep (for medicinal purposes only) and added a dram to the beverage-at-hand. BINGO! THIS I would order at a bar. It would rock with a Corned Beef Sammitch. The booze offsets the Dill-Garlic of the pickle juice just enough. If you like 3 olives in your Martini, you'd dig a Lemonpickletini as I have introduced tonight. As I sit here typing this Yelp, I'm actually digging the drink. Another entry ticked off on the Secret Bucket List I am prevented from knowing whats on it...
