I will admit that I have not been to a Tim Hortons in many years, but I saw a video a couple years ago where somebody took a dump in their hand and threw it at someone there. So yeah, it's on the same level. White Castle seems that it's a step up from that specific Tim Hortons! But I digress. We had three very hungry and tired children who needed sustenance quickly. The woman that we talked with first on the speaker and then at the window was incredibly polite, and incredibly patient for what I can only assume was a long shift, every single night. We ended up with something like eight cheeseburgers, a couple chicken sandwiches and a fish sandwich as there was the desire to create a burger within the car. We created the Midwest equivalent of the land air and sea.... The water, plains and sky - a magical concoction that includes a cheeseburger, a chicken patty and a fish patty. Well, it's debatable whether any of these things have actually been to the places that are described in the name of the Burger, we were pretty stoked to get to try it. Would we order it again? Probably not. It ends up the fish sandwiches from a white castle. Outside of Chicago are just OK. That said, the burgers here are always absolutely top-notch! Check your receipt at this location. The older black Woman rounds up without asking to donate to something for animals. She did it twice to me in a 2 week period. The first time I didn't notice until after I left. The second time we asked and she said "oh it's to donate". My husband said, I never wanted to donate. She said oh! (She wasn't expecting us to check our receipt which tells me she gets away with this a lot). We left it alone and did a survey and we never heard back. Looking at the interior of the restaurant tables were dirty, and the drink station needed to be touched up. We did receive our food very quickly so there's no issues about that. Being a Chicago guy, with a penchant for cocktails, White Castle has loomed large in my journey. Mostly late at night. In my dotage, I'm not the wild guy I used to be, and WC has become a guilty pleasure for the Wife and I (now always sober), mostly early in the afternoon. I had always heard of the transformation of WC on Valentine's day with a Maitre D', Waiters, and tableside service, but had never been. I try to surprise my lovely Wife when I can, and this year (as part of our Silver Anniversary) I thought we'd finally try the WC gambit. Well... There wasn't the transformation of the WC environs I expected-there were a few el cheapo decorations hanging from the ceiling, and red paper "tablecloths" on the booths. The "Maitre D'" was one of the regular employees, and she had a shitty attitude. We got seated and looked at the menu printed on the placemat. You'd think they'd do something clever, but there wasn't. We made the joke our order of "Shrimp Nibblers" and Sliders was "Surf and Turf". The waitress (who must have been the owners wife) laughed with us over that. In the end-it was a regular visit to WC, except for a cheap tablecloth and we didn't have to go to the counter. WHAT ON EARTH ARE YOU DOING IN THERE?!? I have recently had the miss fortune of coming here in the middle of the night on two occasions this month. The drive thru wait is UNREAL!!! 1 was almost a 1 hour wait!!! 1HOUR!! For about 8-9 cars. Another was a 30+ min wait for 6-7 cars... I don't even know what to say. Each time I counted at least 3 employees? I got to the window last night and saw my bags on the table but it took about 5 min to check the receipt and give me the bag??? This is the most disgusting and dysfunctional fast food restaurant I have ever seen. Right after opening, the floor is filthy, everything is dirty, the floor looks like it hasn't seen water in months. Every order they screw up and get wrong. The food was warm. My fries tasted like chicken. Maybe they need to change their oil. The floors were filthy, and the bathrooms were only a step up from there. The management lacked attention to customer detail or just plain attention to the customer. Sometimes, it's what I crave. They have good sliders, fast and easy. They're small, so I would need about 4 of them for a meal. They run about $0.77 - $2.79. The most expensive one is the chicken and waffle slider, which is pretty delicious. For Valentine's day each year, you can make a reservation for dinner. This was the first year that you could actually make your reservation through OpenTables, which I thought was pretty neat. They decorate the restaurant and have table service. First off I'm a Chicago boy and WC was where we went after a night of adult beverages on the town so I'm a big fan because I can't get them where live now. WC is best described in my experience, you either love them or hate them because there is no in between for people I talk to. It's a steamed slider and not fried on a bed of onions which gives them their unique flavor, the steamed onion flavor is what I love about them. It's tasty steamed/soft slider that I like in one of two ways and all I ever have, the bacon cheeseburger or the jalapeño cheeseburger and that's it, no frys etc. Overall I'm a fan and I will always be because of the uniqueness and flavor of the original slider so I will keep getting them when I'm around one and the frozen store verision is just not the same. read more

Absolutely RUDE manager or shift supervisor who helped me today, well actually did not help me but gave extremely poor customer service with a horrible attitude. She looked so unhappy and took it out on the customer. I was excited to take my daughter there because White Castle and a slider was a part of my childhood and she absolutely ruined it.. then on top of that whoever else was working back in the kitchen had two friends stand at the counter being extremely annoying carrying on a conversation yelling from the back to friends at the counter. Maybe the manager or shift supervisor would not be so rude if her employees wouldn't have friends hanging out at the counter distracting them from there job and the drive through would not be stacked up 15 cars deep. The sanitary training here is also horrible employees would take off there disposable gloves do a task and then put the same gloves back on. Safe sanitary food handling states that if gloves are taken off hands must be washed and a new pair of gloves put on. Not the case here. We noticed this as we were driving to the area, and saw their 10 White Castle hamburgers for $8 deal, so we had to stop in. First off, this place does White Castle Hamburgers RIGHT. They came HOT and FRESH off the grill, the onions were tasty, and the pickle slices were fresh! Even the fries were good. The drinks were HUGE - we ordered mediums and got 24 ounces! INTENTIONALLY SLOW SERVICE! The employees will not take your order at the box until they have served the customer in front of you. 1 car orders, then those burgers are cooked, assembled, packaged, paid for and then served, AND THEN they take the next cars order. The employees also try to dissuade you from ordering by saying "We ain't got no burger right now so it's gonna take a while". Slowest service ever. I should've known better for pulling into this place knowing they don't give you your food, let alone take you're order in a timely manner. Gave it a try anyway with only 2 people ahead of me. I sat there for almost 10 min waiting for them to take my order. The finally apologize for the wait, I place my order, and sit and wait another 13 min, before me, and the people behind me pull off and leave. The people there were slow like turtles were faster. It was so slow that when they gave us a bag it was wet. Grease covered the bag and like man I like grease but this grease was excessive to be honest bro. I ordered two sets of 12 chicken rings, 3 smoothies, and two large fries. I'm writing this review not to slam this location, but in hopes that management actually does something to improve things. With all the other White Castles in the area closing up, I'd really like to see this one figure out a way to stick around but holy COW is everything about the Aurora White Castle bad. I almost never go here, as someone who absolutely loves White Castle because I know it doesn't matter what time of day I go, there will be a half hour wait in the drive through. Not because there's a ton of cars and the line is out to the street, but because of how slow they are to make food. I've tried going inside instead, figuring maybe the drive through is just weirdly bottlenecked and instead of only dealing with a massive wait you also have to stand around inside of their mind-blowingly dirty dining area, while looking back into the kitchen that's often so grimy it makes you wonder if you even want to eat the food they're about to serve you at all. Good luck if you end up needing to use the restroom while you're there, as it's usually more destroyed than a truck stop toilet. MANAGEMENT: PLEASE get people who actually care about working here. Pay them more if you have to. This restaurant, like all the other locations, is on a fast track to becoming yet another Mattress Firm if you can't turn things around to get folks like me, who love White Castle and drive by all the time, to stop in. I remember going to White Castle as a kid and the place being cleaner than a hospital, and your food coming out super fast and piping hot. What happened? Someone had ordered a 30 slider box so I understood why it took 5 minutes to have our order taken. Took about 7 minutes to get our order, the impossible sliders were delicious and made fresh, but I was disappointed with barely warm fries. Pretty poor hand washing, as I saw none. I was observing the kitchen while I waited and ate. You're supposed to change your gloves every time you touch an unsanitary surface, and you must wash your hands every time gloves are changed.
