I came in for the soft opening on a whim, with my two-year old and stroller in tow. Here's what we thought! The place is super cute. It has lots of natural light and indoor plants (albeit mostly fake, but still...) that pair well with the cozy green benches. It feels spacious and has both floor level seating and an upstairs area. My toddler loved crawling on the benches. Good stuff. The menu is Korean and American inspired brunch with additional appetizers and entrees. We tried the Sunday Chronicle omelet, which comes with a potato medley and house salad. The omelet was tasty, pretty classic, with each item well seasoned. The potatoes were crispy and hot but had a kind of flavor (maybe freezer?) that we didn't care for. I liked that they had purple potatoes. The salad had a blood orange sauce that paired well with the omelet, offering some acidity and sweetness. They forgot the salad at first but were perfectly gracious when I asked for it. The chef came by to chat and brought my toddler a plate of cut fruit. So sweet! And they even cut the grapes--good detail for kiddos. The place seems great for groups. Went to this place around 1pm and got seated quite quickly. Take the server sometimes to come and take an order but that's okay. Saw the order online on the table. Would be more efficient if i can do some adjustments or any comments. Came here with my besties today to check out this newly opened spot, and we had such a great time at Whisper. Such a cute spot for aesthetic brunch! The service, ambiance and food were all great! The wait was long but worth it. It is veryyy crowded in there so just keep in mind if crowds bother you! The matcha pancakes were okay, the best part was the matcha sauce which was strong and flavorful, but the actual pancakes were dry. The Sweet and Salt (croffle and Korean fried chicken) was pretty good, though some of the chicken was chewy. The iced latte was pretty good. What really made the meal was the Melting Archive which was a wagyu burger and fries in nacho cheese sauce. I wanted breakfast but found myself stealing my fiancé's fries and cheese sauce the whole time instead because it was so good. The portions are big so we had leftovers too! A generous 4.0 rating. Service is a 3.0. Korean fusion, innovative & tasty food in a beautiful space. Come early for brunch to get a table and avoid a wait. You can order thru a server or the QR code which might be faster. We had drip coffee & ice tea and waited a bit for our drinks as only one person at the bar area was making all the drink orders. You need to ask multiple times for a refill if desired. Free refill on drip coffee but not for ice tea. They charge you for another full price for the 2nd glass of ice tea so this is a heads up to manage your expectations. The timing of the food was pretty good overall. We had the corn ribs which was nicely roasted corn you eat off the center part of the cob like ribs. But the server didn't bring us small plates to share after we told him we were sharing. We couldn't get any server to bring us plates soon enough so we had to lean in over the one plate to share and in doing so I banged my knee against the middle leg of the table. Ouch! We then had the gochujang fried chicken which was crispy and coated with a tasty sauce that was not too sweet or spicy but the chicken was lukewarm as if it had been made a while ago and was waiting for a server to get it to us. It was three pieces of decent sized chicken. We also had the Morning Edition in which we got to select our ingredients of poached eggs (good), galbi (also very good, tasty & tender), a side of house greens that barely had any dressing so we thought it was plain, and Foccacia bread which was two small slices on the side. Prices were alright except for being charged for the ice tea refill full price. I suggest looking at the menu on the QR code to see the entire menu, prices and drinks because the printed menu doesn't include everything especially drinks and what you get charged for or not. Pleasant interior but know that the lightly padded but pretty chairs and the small round tables look good but are not greatly practical. Servers were courteous but disorganized and running about a lot. It seemed that everyone was serving every customer at the same time so it was hard to get any one server to commit to you. I didn't get a spoon for my coffee and couldn't get a server's attention so I am went to the bar to get one myself but they ran out of spoons. Another server got me the only spoon that was available from the kitchen. I would say the food is decent for a Korean-American fusion but I believe this restaurant opened too early and still needs time to work itself out. I would not hold it against the waiters and waitress staff as I think they did a good job ensuring tables are cleaned after people finished eating and serving as best they can. The problem I had was seeing managers spending so much time looking over to make sure the tabling system worked when they could be helping out as well. It would be wise for this place to close for a couple days to ensure their table and ordering system is set before having people wait 2 hours on a handwritten paper waitlist only to be disappointed about their orders not coming to them in a timely manner. As for the food, we ordered the Gogi Time benedict, truffle oyster mushroom, and nori pasta (not pictured). All the items ordered were decent but were only held back because the orders did not go through to the kitchen the first time since the waiter only had a used menu to write orders down on. 5 stars. My friends and I came on a Sunday around 12:30 and the yelp waitlist time was a little over 2 hours. We joined a bit ahead but we were pleasantly surprised to be seated after 45 mins. A lot of people probably drop out of the waitlist since it does get pretty crazy. The service was amazing and our waitress was very friendly. She gave her recs and they were all very tasty. All the dishes we ordered were so well made and the flavor was perfect. My favorite was the kimchi carbonara pasta. It was creamy, savory, and the kimchi flavor perfectly balances the heavy flavors. A close second was the cast iron stone axe. It was basically potatoes, extremely tender and well seasoned steak pieces, rice, and an egg. It was very hearty and the portion size was pretty good. Our group also got the crème brûlée French toast and mango pancakes. Both were solid and provided a nice contrast to the savory items we ordered. We came on a Friday for lunch and the wait was about 12-20 minutes, which wasn't bad since we reserved our spot on Yelp while on the way to the restaurant. We were seated right away, and since we had a dog, we sat outside (indoor seating looked nice and polished). The weather was nice, so it worked out perfectly. We ordered the shoyu corn ribs, kimchi carbonara, cast iron stone axe beef, and a side of grilled chicken for my pup. Everything was delicious! Next time, I definitely want to try the pancake and the crème brûlée French toast. I'm giving 4 stars because even though we were seated right away, nobody came back to check on us. The person who sat us said he would bring water but never returned. After about 15 minutes, I had to go inside to ask if someone could take our order. Lucas helped us right away, was very kind and apologetic, and made sure we were taken care of for the rest of our visit. It was a warm Tuesday morning. My partner and I had been seeing lots of videos about this new brunch spot called Whisper, so we had to give it a try. From the videos, it seemed awesome, but in reality it was disappointing. We ordered the Seafood Jjambbong Pasta and the Gogi Morning(Bulgogi Eggs Benedict). The Seafood Jjambbong Pasta seemed like it would be so great as it is such a smart fusion idea, however the sauce was literally just soup with way too much oil. I'll leave a picture here showing the aftermath of the soup with the crazy amount of oil from seafood? The sauce could simply be reduced more and then thickened with starchy pasta water to make something that would actually stick to the pasta. There were also some green leafy vegetables(like spinach) that were nice but added a strange bitterness(tastes like the kale stems). The Gogi Morning had good flavor but by the temperature of the bulgogi it's obvious that they just have a cambro of cooked bulgogi that they just throw on top when the dish is ordered. The one positive was that the side potatoes were some of the best potatoes I've ever had from a breakfast spot, perfectly crispy and fluffy on the inside. Seating was also a mess with where we were at. We were in a section of small round tables that had nowhere near enough space on the table, let alone the 1 foot of space that was separating each table from the other. I can't imagine what it's like when all of those tables are full but they squeezed in way too many tables for such a small space. Overall, I probably wouldn't come back, and I'd rather go to taste and glory down the road. read more

I had such a great experience here at Whisper with my mom and little chihuahua. We were seated very quickly when I signed up on the waitlist on yelp and the host was very efficient seating parties and following up with everyone. We were seated upstairs which was nice because we got to get a birds eye view of restaurant. I ordered the Red Dawn and my mom got the Sunday Chronicle. We got to enjoy both dishes with an iced hojicha latte and my mom ordered a coffee with hazelnut syrup. Both dishes were exceptional breakfast choices that had generous portions and did not lack flavor. The omelette was stuffed with ham, bacon, tomato, bell peppers and cheddar cheese which my mom absolutely loved. I got to relish every bite of The Red Dawn- the two poached eggs were cooked to perfection and the fried chicken was crisp and not greasy. I'm not a big fan of radish but it balanced the dish for-sure and was fresh. I loved the hollandaise sauce as well! What made this experience memorable was the service and they also brought our dog a to go container with water in it while she waited in her bag. I will be coming back to Whisper! read more
