Not sure, where to begin. This is our second visit to Whiskey West. First time, neither myself or my husband loved the food. We decided to give this place another chance, well my hubby's dish was ok, the seared tuna was good but the seaweed and spinach was just ok interesting LoL the chicken blt, was awful, only thing tasty was the bread, the bacon, over cooked, the chicken, extremely dry, the fries, barely touched them, over cooked and they looked like they sat out for hours. Not worth it at all, the bill was $50 plus, including tip. Their food, extremely disappointed, if we ever go back its for an appetizer and a drink that's it, don't bother with the rest if their menu, its a disappointment! read more

Lived in West Seattle for a year now and finally made it down past Alaska Junction to a great spot with all the whiskey you could imagine. The drink menu is unique & the food menu is even better. Sweet potato fries cooked perfect. The green salad was delicious and refreshing. Fast service and amazing bartenders. David served us all night. His skills behind the bar match his friendly personality. Live music on the weekends and plenty of space to sit and hang out. Will definitely come back! read more

Whisky West - David with his amazing bartending skills! - Whiskey Bars Near Me - Seattle, Washington

I went here on a first date and had a perfect experience. The staff is amazingly accommodating. The bartender put the Stanley Cup game on and sat us at the perfect table for me to passively watch while the other 98% of my focus could be on the date. The menu of beers, ciders, and booze offers something for folks of any taste. The pear-grapefruit cider is delightful. The food menu is amazing! She loved the chop salad and fries, I loved the Mac n cheese with fried chicken & a bbq sauce drizzle, and the pan-fried Brussel sprouts tossed in honey was brilliant. Excellently thoughtful service, the place is perfectly clean, and street parking was easy. Highly recommended! read more

Great whiskey selection but lousy vegetarian selection (only a two mains courses are available). Also service can be rather slow.

Fun place to drink great beer. I watched the Ohio and Michigan football game. Jazz music in the background, I had a nice time. read more

Went for happy hour. Fish & Chips were absolutely amazing and the perfect little size. The bartender was very knowledgeable. Explained the different types of whiskey. Great atmosphere. Very friendly staff! read more

I have loved the food and drink every time I go to Whiskey West. The rueben sandwich is especially good! My dad who doesn't give a wholehearted "this was amazing!" review anywhere told me he loved it and wanted to come back next time he visited. The service when you sit outside is a bit slow, but it helped me slow down, enjoy the sunshine and take in the moment. Thanks Whisky West! read more

Monday night Jazz jam brings in good players. 7:30? to 10-ish. The whisky selection is amazing, but pricey. The food is pretty good, too. read more

Ate here during COVID times, and was impressed by how good the food and service was. My husband is also vegan and their vegan options were great which is always a plus! read more

Interesting place really long tavern food joint that has a plethora of whiskey. They have a great beer menu! lots of scotch, other straights and wells. The wine list is short and is just ok. The food it's not bad, good corned beef tastes like it is made there. Good kind of party atmosphere slightly chaotic but it's a bar. Great place for St Patrick's day or any other festival type day. It's not a bad place at all the service is a little wonky but again wasn't horrible. This place isn't really a whoa experience or a bad one. It's kind of right in the middle so I gave it the average 3 stars. read more

I've now been to Whisky West approx 10 times. I've dined there for weekend brunch, weekday dinner, beer, whiskey, the works. I would say its whiskey selection is commendable, but... that's kind of the whole point. Their prices are fair, but not fantastic. Their food is absolutely underwhelming. Nothing will make you ill or taste outright disgusting, but there is nothing to set their food apart from other places with similar pricing. When I lived in the Morgan area, I preferred other places that are nearby. Now that I live in the Admiral area, I'll never venture south specifically to visit Whisky West. read more

Not sure what's going on with this place. I've been in twice, and walked out twice. Both times I was never acknowledged by anyone working there. It was like I was invisible. No greeting, nothing. The first time it was fairly busy, so I chalked it up to new-open hiccups. The second time was on a slow weekday night. Maybe 10 people in the place. Dirty dishes all over the bar. Again, silence. After waiting 10 or so minutes I just left. There are bars in the area I'd rather spend my money at. This place is a joke. read more

I wish I could give this place an incomplete, because that's how it feels. It does quite a bit right, but it's also missing on a few points as well. The replacement for the legendary Feedback Lounge is, as you might guess, whisk(e)y focused. When they took over the space they completely cleaned it up and renovated it, which, honestly, I'm a bit disappointed about. I like bars with a little bit of an edge to them, or rather swanky, and this space seems to be in an odd middle ground. In addition, their whisk(e)y selection was a tad disappointing. Yes, they've got a good amount of juice, but I'm used to whisk(e)y bars like 7 Grand with a couple of hundred bottles. They've got a good selection, but most everything was stuff I'd seen in the past. Putting that aside, my wife and I got good service at the bar, which is where we always try to sit when frequently, well, any establishment. The bartenders, while certainly busy, were all friendly and knowledgeable, and knew how to make a cocktail. I had a dram of a rye to start, and my wife had an old fashioned. I then followed her down that route, and we both closed with sazeracs. I do wish it was a little less busy so I could have played a little bit with the bartender, but a busy Friday is not the night to do that. I think this place is going to get there, and it's earned the four stars in my mind. It's close to 5, but not quite yet. read more

I had my first visit at this establishment last night. Myself and three friends came here last night, none of us are whiskey drinkers so we asked the waitress to give us a flight of whatever she thought would be good. Apparently I miscommunicated because I thought I asked for the same 4 shots in each flight for the of the 4 of us. She went completely above and beyond and gave each of us each different flights so we could all try out a wide variety of whiskeys. I know this took her a lot of time that she could have focused on other customers so this was totally above and beyond what I was expecting in service!!!! She had notes for each whiskey so we could remember what we liked and was so knowledgeable when we asked questions. The food was pretty darn tasty too! The fish and chips were good but my friends were raving about the pulled pork BBQ sandwiches that had pickled watermelon slaw. Next time I'm in the mood for whiskey with great service, I will go here! read more

I visited for the first time last night with a girlfriend. Its in my hood, so I've been waiting to try it out for a while. I thought the place was very clean and tastefully decorated. I'm not a whiskey drinker but I was impressed with the large selection on display. First of all, the service was just OK. I sat at the bar alone for a bit, waiting for my friend. I wasn't greeted at the bar right away. And it wasn't too busy, about 8 pm. I had to wave the server for attention. I ordered a Moscow mule which was delish. I was pretty hungry and the menu seemed impressive. I ordered the salmon lox on rye and it was tasty. The fries were not seasoned well and a bit soggy and cold. Once my friend arrived, we ordered the mac n cheese and steak sliders. The mac was pretty bad. The sauce had no flavor. Just took 2 bites and left it. I should have said something to the server. And the sliders' steak meat was cold! Overall, disappointed in food and service. Not sure I'll go back. If I do, definitely trying different menu items. read more

Whisky West, work in progress! Beautiful remodel of the old space! So light and open and welcoming at all hours. The open front is a great deck/patio alternative. We've come in for food and drinks twice in these first couple weeks. Food and drinks are a little inconsistent in quality and accuracy (is that what was ordered?), it's a limited "opening menu" at the time of this review. I would describe service as unprepared. The bill has not matched what we ordered (or what we got) both times now. And has been slow and inattentive, but very friendly and apologetic. We'll keep coming, I'll update as they evolve. read more

Excellent take out menu in this time of lockdown. Try the fish tacos or the chicken rice bowl. All your favourite beverages to go also.

We came for Saturday brunch Decent menu and well priced I got the breakfast pizza, but I wouldn't call it that. It's basically a pita with mashed avocado and egg. It wasn't bad but nothing that amazing either. Lacked flavor The eggs Benedict was disappointing. The eggs was boiled? The yolk was completely cooked. The avocado had questionable brown spots... The chicken fried stake was good according to my friend Service was kind of slow for how many people were there, and our waitress seemed like she didn't want to be there I don't know, it wasn't that bad but I don't think I would choose to go again for brunch read more

The atmosphere, food and drinks were all great. The server however was very slow and we didn't get what we ordered. We went for lunch and ended up being there for 2 hours because of her. Once we got our food, we realized that it wasn't what we ordered but we had already waited so long we decided to eat it anyways. She wasn't very attentive. The food was delicious and would 100% recommend the shrimp ceviche, but service made it a much more unpleasant experience than it should have been. read more

I first reviewed whisky west on a visit to Seattle before relocating here. I gave it a good rating then- I wish I could give it more than 5 stars now. This has become my favorite place in West Seattle, hands down. The wings with the house made sauce are amazing- the fish and chips are just as great. I can't single out any one thing on the menu. The bartenders and servers will make you feel right at home and relaxed. On any night you can have a seat at the bar and know you're in good company. Their happy hour makes this all the more wonderful- $4 well drinks and a solid menu of discounted food. They also have live music quite often which makes for a great atmosphere. If you have the opportunity to go here- don't pass it up! It's a gem and West Seattle is better because Whisky West is here. I don't think I'd like living here as much as I do without Whisky West! read more

Whiskey west has great drinks and great atmosphere. I'm not entirely sold on the food. Came here earlier this week and ordered the chicken Caesar salad along with a scotch egg. The salad was lackluster, had quite a few ice burg lettuce "butts" - dressing was watery. They barely put a quarter of the chicken breast on it. This salad cost $14, which I felt was steep for a mediocre salad. The scotch egg was okay, nothing to write home about. I will be coming back to try the food again because this place definitely has promise to it! As a life-long west seattleite I always want to support local businesses. read more

Grabbed a couple drinks and a few appetizers a couple nights ago. I did a flight of whiskey and my boyfriend got a beer. We ordered the wings and queso mac n cheese. The wings had almost a chili sauce on them, a hint of sweet and spicy! The mac n cheese was ok. The noodles were way over cooked and not very cheesy like you would expect with mac n cheese. Not sure we would order either of these again...maybe the wings, but not the mac n cheese. read more

Great selection of Whisky and Whisky based cocktails. Plus has good beer selection and non-whisky based cocktails for those that want to mix it up. read more

Whisky west has always been one of my favorite places to drink, but since Covid it's also become my favorite to-go place. There is never a long wait and the burgers and wings are incredible. It's so spacious and the staff is being so conscientious it's also the only place I would feel safe eating in at (and I'm not eating dine in at all during covid) The price for a great burger and fries is only like $12. If they offered whisky flights to go I would probably just give up grocery stores and eat there 7 days a week. read more

Nice place and great whiskey selection. Unlike other reviews, we knew that this was a self seating establishment. The waiter was friendly and professional, and was always attentive to our needs. These were the good things. But now for the bad... We were overcharged for our drinks. Watch out if you order a Manhattan; they up charge for the drink, so you pay for the bourbon, plus for the vermouth and bitters as separate items. They adjusted for their error, but the pricing approach is odd. Did not like how they charged for they Manhattan. So, be aware. Only had fish sliders and fries. Liked the fries ok, but not so much the sliders Overall, ok place to go, but won't be a revisit for us. read more

Whisky West - Mother's Milk - Whiskey Bars Near Me - Seattle, Washington

Visited Whiskey West for the first time last night. The happy hour cocktails were excellent! Also love the remodeled space! Taking away one star for the more limited menu, I think it will be expanded later? Very much hoping it will include a couple of salad options, perhaps a Caesar? My burger and fries were very good, but I would prefer some lighter options to become a more regular patron. We thought the service was very good, we were waited on very soon after arriving. Nice add to the Morgan Junction neighborhood! read more

One of the best burgers I have ever had. However, the fries which were limp, need HELP. Good beers.

We met up with friends at this Seattle hang-out. The drinks were fun and lively but the food was pretty basic. I wasn't a huge fan of anything we had ordered, your basic bar food. I would probably opt for the charcuterie plate next time. We did enjoy ourselves and the service was cheerful and friendly. read more

So, I'm back. Last review was a week ago. This time, I'm here alone at 6:45 trying to get a drink (HH) and to try other menu fare. I'm running out of options as the menu is pretty Spartan. This time, I went for the appetizers-Brussel Sprouts and Deviled Eggs. Both were about $8 a piece and delicious. I overheard the server/manger tell a patron that they were out of the Hefeweizen - which is a theme I've noted. They ran out if Chardonnay at my last visit. Unfortunately, I'm downgrading from 5 to 4 stars because they have logistical challenges. However, they are getting cred for having a HH that ends at 7pm! See my 5 star review below We came in at 6:15 and discovered that HH lasts until 7:00! Bonus!! So it was great from the start. Ordered wine by the glass (a little speedy as that had no bottle prices) but it was great nonetheless. Then ordered the arugula salad and fish' n chips. Both portions were modest but delicious. We will return!! read more

This place is very delicious and the environment is fun! I really enjoyed the staff interaction and the friendliness of the place.

Really good draft beer menu. Nice and cozy atmosphere. Only had time for drinks, but we will be back to try the food.

The food is phenomenal, and the drinks are fantastic! The bartenders here are the absolute best, they provide such quick service and are very friendly. I would highly recommend this place to everyone! read more

Really slow, bad service and mediocre food. "We lost your ticket, sorry" was said as if it's a normal occurrence, and 45 minute wait for a salad! Good Whiskey selection, just DON'T order food!! read more

Very disappointing. Menu looked good. Placed order while the restaurant was mostly empty. 30 mins later still didn't have food. Was told too many orders went in at once. Appetizer arrived with the food, both were cold on arrival. Gave up on the food and just went for drinks. Took asking three times to get more water only to be served water from another table just vacated. Given that the restaurant was barely 1/3 full, makes no sense on why it took so long for basic services. Would not recommend. Ended up going next door to get something to eat. read more

They've only been open a month so they're still working out the bugs but it's a great place. The food is great and the menu should expand soon and I think their grand opening is on August 3rd. I am biased because I know the owners but I can tell you I think you'll have a good time. They also have The Whisky Bar downtown on 2nd, my favorite downtown Watering Hole. read more

This place is perfect for what I was looking for- a chill spot to relax and finish up digital paperwork from the week while waiting for rush hour to die down. I came in at 5 and was greeted sweetly. Large windows allow for natural light, and on this day, a good view of the snow. There was plenty of space, so I didn't feel self-conscious about using a table with my laptop. The atmosphere and service were excellent. The music was perfect, at the perfect volume. The Manhattan hit the spot, with artisan cherries; the happy hour menu was sparse, but covered the bases (the normal menu had plenty of options). I had the crab cake and salad- perfect for a one-person first dinner. I'll hit the dessert menu next time, which looked great; I'll definitely be a regular here. read more
