A tasty sweet treat near City Center DC…read more I enjoy coming here when my sweet tooth is talking to me lol. I ordered a small cup of banana foster & dark chocolate and during the summer time my favorite is the thai coconut milk & vietnamese cinnamon because it has a sweet & savory taste to it (the best combo ever). I normally get a small cup because the portions are filling especially if you had lunch or dinner beforehand. They also sell pints of gelato, sorbetto, tea, coffee, & seasonal drinks as well. There's seating inside & outside. The store is fairly small, but you're still able to sit with a few friends. The service was quick & you're able to try out the flavors. The staff were very friendly & helpful. Typically there's a long line, but it moves very quickly.

Busy busy busy!! This place was packed on a Saturday night…read more Super hot June night, the gelato was melting by the time you stepped foot out the doors! Having to sit outside due to no available seating indoors made it worse. Gelato was tasty, nothing to get worked up for in my opinion, but maybe the fruity flavors are better! Being a frozen dessert connoisseur, I was a bit let down. Didn't finish due to the soup mess in my cup that was running all over the place & the spoon with 0 ladling power. Didn't feel like I was missing out by tossing the remnants. Come here to spend a pretty penny on some gelato!

Ordered the large with the Pistachio Gelato, and Ginger Turmeric and Vidama Noir Sorbets. All three flavors were superb, creamy and didn't taste artificial or excessively sweet. Points for server friendliness as I was redeeming a birthday reward, and the cashier wished me happy birthday, and joked that he forgot about the birthday rewards Toast issues. Price point is a bit steep, but as this is visibly a quality product, I will give them the benefit of the doubt on that front. Worth it as a treat is my opinion.

Now y'all KNOW your girl knows how to eat, and apparently, we know how to keep the party going…read moreAFTER dinner, too! Because why were we already full from eating at a nearby restaurant, but somehow still found room for dessert? Listen, don't judge us! Mind your business! The Peach Cobbler Factory DC was just a quick little stroll from where we'd eaten. We told ourselves we were walking off dinner, but clearly, we were walking straight into some more calories! Now, if you've been to the Maryland location, just know the DC spot is giving a much smaller, more intimate situation. And when I tell you the people were IN THERE?! Whew! The DMV was outside and apparently everybody had the same sweet tooth that evening! But shoutout to the young man holding it down at the register! Because despite that crowd, he was moving that line with efficiency! No confusion, no unnecessary foolishness, just getting folks in and out. We LOVE to see it! Now let's get into why I really came here... that Peanut Butter Praline Brownie! YASSSSS!!! When I tell you that thing was RICH?! Not regular rich. I'm talking Potomac waterfront, big-house-in-Bowie, don't-ask-me-what-I-do-for-a-living RICH! Decadent. Indulgent. Sinful. The kind of dessert that makes you close your eyes after the first bite and reconsider every decision that led you to this moment... but in the BEST possible way! That brownie was NOT playing with anybody's taste buds! And if you're a chocolate and peanut butter lover, just know you're stepping into dangerous territory! Was I full? Absolutely. Did I need it? Not even a little bit. Would I do it again? WITHOUT HESITATION!

I can tell they get lots of customers through out the evening because it was busy and we got there pretty late. I got the tequila sunrise sundae and it was delicious!! Disappointing Experience - Customer Service Needs Improvement…read more Unfortunately, my experience at Tipsy Scoop was disappointing. It took over 15 minutes just to receive a scoop of non-alcoholic ice cream. I also purchased a scoop for my daughter, but the wait and, more importantly, the poor customer service made the experience unpleasant. A simple ice cream purchase should not turn into such a frustrating experience. Customer service matters, regardless of how small the order may be. I expected a much better experience, but unfortunately, I left disappointed. Hopefully, management takes this feedback seriously because customers deserve better service.

Very large Tatte bakery…read more They have delicious pastries and baked goods. However, I used to really like Tatte a few years ago but feel like they've gone downhill recently. It used to be a great, small, quaint chain, but now they've expanded a lot and I feel like the quality has suffered. Still many delicious options though! Also note that this one in particular is very large and very noisy: a large room, high ceilings, and loud music. I wouldn't call it particularly relaxing.

They have an array of non-dairy sorbets on hand as well with fun flavors like lemon lavender. I'm a sucker for hard to find and clever flavor combinations. The cherry on top? It was…read morean odd encounter, she said she would be back to help us and after she was done with her task, she stood in front of her receptionist table without looking at us or waving us over. The table is in a weird spot in the middle of the restaurant, so we didn't know that's where we needed to be to speak with her. She acted kind of like an NPC. She then proceeded to tell us nothing was available, even though a lot of tables were empty and stayed empty after we were done with our meal on the way out. She directed us to sit on the sofas in the back. After brunch, I did my usual payment and due diligence of making my own copy of the receipt. My credit card statement was posted and I noticed a big discrepancy. I was charged almost $10 more than what I agreed to pay. I contacted the cafe and was directed to the manager, Colt, who said he would look into it. I sent him an email with the information and picture of my receipt. I haven't received a response or an indication that they will be correcting the discrepancy and they will be discussing this with the server who generously tipped themselves extra. I'm sad to say I don't recommend this place due to the unfriendly atmosphere and the shady financial practices of their staff.
