BEST EVER!! So, I had a hair appointment in the same building as Lou's Buns and since it was a long drive home, I thought I'd treat myself and bring some home to my family. Let me say this, I WAS NOT disappointed AT ALL! This by far was theeeee best Cinnamon roll I've ever had. FRESH, TASTY and just the right ratio of softness and chewiness you need! The owner was sooooo sweet and pleasant. Kudos to Alex for putting in the hard work and dedication that is shown thru your product and service! I WILL BE BACK!

It's also a cool spot to work remote or taking a meeting. I hope the owner open more establishments in the future. Right now there are 2 locations (including Union Market) - I've had great experiences at both. A lot of the new or small coffee shops should follow their lead when it comes to coffee and providing excellent customer service. I love this place.

Even though we got our drinks and food to go, I couldn't help but admire the cute ceramics and overall aesthetic of the space. I ordered the lavender latte, which was good but didn't completely wow me. My husband and I also shared the bread pudding, and that was definitely the highlight. He gave it a 9/10, and I'd have to agree, it was delicious and the perfect treat to enjoy while walking around the pier. One thing to note is that prices are definitely on the higher side. I noticed the avocado toast was around $18, and while it looked nice, it didn't seem particularly special for the price. Overall, a very cute café with a great atmosphere and an excellent bread pudding. A lovely stop while visiting the Wharf.

A bit overhyped - but still getting 5 stars…read more This place looked super cute & I added to my places to visit while in DC. Unfortunately, it didn't really meet my expectations. The line was incredibly slow, latte was served hot, & food was mediocre. The interior is stunning, bright, & I felt transported to another country. I appreciated all the cute little trinkets that were for sale near the register. I'd probably give them one more visit in case my first one was an off day.

While the shop looks amazing, the coffee was extremely basic. I ordered an iced latte and I could not taste the espresso. The cinnamon Kouign-amann was extremely dry, as was the chocolate chip cookie. When you tried to break the cookie in half it essentially exploded into crumbs. They do have a lot of seating, but there were many single people taking up 4-person tables so it was difficult to find a place for 4 of us to sit. The staff wasn't unpleasant, but they also were not very friendly. They did keep the line moving as fast as they could. Again, the shop is beautiful and bright. The branding on their bags is adorable. Their cutlery is wrapped and there is washi tape with their name on it holding it together. Their drinks and food are served on very nice dishes. I just wish that the coffee and pastries tasted as good as everything looks.

I've ordered sandwiches from here a few times from now and I can't say that I love them…read more When it comes to subs and sandwiches everyone has different preferences. For me it comes down to fresh breads, quality ingredients, thoughtful assembly and one of the most important for me ... balanced ratio of ingredients. Each time I've ordered, the ratio of ingredients has been what has thrown me off. The subs are large and the bread is fresh, but between the massive amounts of shredded lettuce and the thickness of the bread, the meat on my turkey sandwich gets swallowed alive to where I'm constantly opening it up to look for and re-adjust. The ingredients though do seem fresh, so it's not a matter of never trying other sandwiches in the future. I just haven't found one yet that would be worth a repeat...so it's not that there is not potential.

What i don't like not only about this place but others too... you NEVER KNOW WHO IS A FIRST TIMER So treating/expecting people to know what they want off hand can be a little bit pushy and makes me feel rushed. With no help just repeating "that's it" I got a simple turkey sandwich with provolone & veggies + the works $21 was not worth it I personally feel like you're paying for the size of the sandwich not the actual flavor or experience. 1.3/5 - sandwich 2.5/5 - customer service/interaction 4.5/5 - cleanliness 0/5 - Price
