I ordered a banana chocolate cake online for a little celebration my family was having for my baby. This is the best cake I've had in a long time. I don't normally keep dessert in the house, but I ate the leftovers for several days straight. My only gripe was that there was no way to know if my order was ready or not- it simply says the day it will be ready by when you order, and I guess it's up to you to call in and make sure it's ready before you pick it up. Whisk is a short walk away from where I worked and we were gifted a gift card so decided to take a stroll there on a warm afternoon. It is a small shop next to a Thai restaurant in a small plaza. There isn't anywhere to sit inside, but we were told there was outdoor seating on the side of the building. We ordered mochi muffins: churro, Ube and matcha, and iced lattes. We went there at a very odd time (after 2PM) so there weren't many things left, but I got what I went there for. The mochi muffins were all absolutely amazing! My favorite was the Ube and churro. The latte was OK -- I added too much cane sugar so I ended up not drinking much of it. I do wish they had more specialty drinks and savory items. The staff was friendly. I'm quite obsessed with their mocha coffee crunch cake-- I've also to tried their carrot cupcake, red velvet cupcake, and their chocolate truffle cake. The chocolate truffle cupcake is super airy and moist. I love to warm up the cupcake a bit so the chocolate mousse filling melts a bit prior to me devouring the whole thing like a savage. I was recommended by another Foodie to come here to get my cake created here for my 150K celebration on Tik Tok. I honestly was not expecting much, but seriously was blown away by Henry and his team. Not only was I impressed with the detail of the sushi cake and how him and his team was able to capture my love for sushi, but also have the cake represent ME! I was so impressed!! I decided to go on LIVE at Whisk (at their patio) -- Henry ensured we were more than taken care of. I also brought my parents and he took care of us as if we were family. It was so easy to work with Whisk Cake Creations for my son's first birthday party cake. I was recommended to use them because the event planner at my baby shower had used them for our cutest cake with a baby boy's butt! Months ahead of the event I shared the theme to be Very Hungry Caterpillar and some inspirational pictures from IG. They had questions around how many people would be eating the cake (per Covid the birthday party was just immediate family) and what flavor we would want. We went with chocolate cake for the adult cake and then a smash cake for my son. It was his first time eating cake! It was definitely less sweet and he loved it. I was in awe of the beautiful cake and it was definitely the star of the party. They sent an email invoice a week before the party and then picking was easy with detailed instructions on keeping the cake in the fridge an hour before wanting to eat it.
