I've been going here for years. Always have great smoothies and fresh juices like soursop and pineapple ginger juice. The service is actually very great. I'd say it's steadily improved over the years i've been going there. They've gotten more efficient and the line moves a lot faster than it did when i first started coming many years ago. Also the Fish and Akee patties are my 2 favorite. I really like the tasty healthy options and i end up passing them a lot on my way to brooklyn or queens since they are right by where the cross island, belt and souther state parkways all intersect. Definitely have to check it out. The ambiance is very peaceful although its mostly a take out spot there are a couple chairs and 1 table for the few times i've had to sit for a sec to send and email while waiting for my smoothie. Yesterday I purchased 1 split pea patty and 2 callaloo Pattie's. The callaloo patty was decently filled and tasted as expected. I enjoyed the crust for sure. However, the split pea patty was certainly lacking. I took one bite and tasted nothing but crust, I took a second bite because sometimes the lentils would slide to the bottom (gravity). The second bite was a mouth full of their delicious crust but no split peas. I looked inside the patty and there wasn't anything in it. Im not one for taking food back.... But I had no choice. The reason for my 2 starts wasn't because the patty was lacking the split peas, I understand things happen. The 2 stars are because of the initial response from the employee. She said.... "That's how they make them", no apology for my inconvenience. Her tone wasn't rude but she lacks customer service. I told her perhaps she should take a picture of the patty to show the owner since this is a representation of their products, she said no, and to toss it in the trash. She asked if I wanted a different patty ( kale or callaloo) or if I wanted to come in the next day to get a different batch of the split pea Pattie's, I declined and requested a refund. She was huffing under her breath and eventually gave me a refund which I hope to see on my bank statement soon. Closest place in the neighborhood for smoothies and fresh juices. Upon entering you wouldn't think they would Not have good options but to my surprise they had a lot and superfood varieties. Everything was Very fresh and tasty and healthy! It's a little overwhelming when you first enter and they don't really greet you in the warmest way nor very friendly in the beginning (normal in Yardie food spots I've come to accept) lol.. and the only reason I gave a 3-star)......BUT they have good quality juices/smoothies.. so if I'm craving smoothies or juice in our neighborhood then this place should be given a chance. hopefully they will be more people friendly, more approachable , act like you're a customer and not an annoyance or forced to serve in the future so nobody writes a bad review Ps. IF I COULD GIVE NO STARS I WOULD. I've come here on a several occasions and kept giving this place the benefit of the doubt cause the products were good. Recently, the quality of their drinks just haven't been the same. The smoothies are wayyy to thick til the point where I've had to discard them. And the patties have been hard and dry. Beyond the drinks loosing its quality the women that work in this establishment are very nasty, rude, and inconsiderate of their customers. They always have a bad attitude, and it wasn't like this before. On top of that I've called my orders over the phone so I can pick up to avoid the crowd and when I got there my order wasn't even ready(despite calling in advance before I picked up). Yes, yes, and yes again !! First of all, Cici is the best !! I came here at 8 for a smoothie but unbeknownst to me, they closed at 6 on Monday's. As I was waiting for someone to greet me; a lady came from outside and told me they're closed. I mentioned that on Yelp it says 10 and asked for the corrected time. As I was leaving the lady (Cici) stopped me and asked did you only come for a smoothie ? I answered yes; she then signaled for me to come back inside and she'll make the smoothie for me- how awesome is that ?! I automatically knew I would be coming back. I got a pineapple, banana, ginger smoothie with almond milk and some vegetable protein; it was delicious ! I got it in the size "bigg"- my mom tried it too and she agreed that it was delicious. I've always drove past this place; especially since it's next door to Jerk Hut but now I know to definitely stop inside. Great to see a healthy juice spot in this neighborhood! Who said eating clean wasn't delicious? I stumbled upon this spot and was in awe by the unique variety of fresh drinks and smoothies! Fresh pressed drinks with ginger, turmeric, etc with great juices like mango, passion fruit, guava, pineapple, etc! The bottled drinks are sooo tasty, and I love that glass bottle they come in, not to mention they're SO INEXPENSIVE!!! I went in today to pick up a smoothie. I only had a certain amount of cash on me as I ordered here before and I knew the price of the smoothie. When it was time to pay, she gave me the price and it was a few dollars more. I asked if I can pay with a card because I usually go there and I knew the price they used to charge. She said no minimum charge price is $10, with a nasty attitude. If you raise the prices, there should be a sign letting your customers know there's an increase. My review is similar to a couple other reviewers, I do agree with what's said about the female workers, they appear to be angry, and full of attitude, but I'm not surprised most Jamaicans lack hospitality. What prompted me to write a review is the store hours! Although it says they close 8 pm don't believe the hype on Saturday August 3rd at 726 pm I attempted to walk in because the sign states they were open and so did yelp, but the door was locked. First time here. Decided to switch up from our normal spot for our wheatgrass shots, plus I was hungry. The ladies at the counter were sweet..NOW let's get to it. I asked for a berry smoothie. She asked me if banana and mango were ok...those aren't berries. But ok. The wheatgrass shots tasted much sweeter than I've ever had, so that was a little strange to me. Poor customer service! I ordered over the phone today the girl had an attitude, I ignored the attitude and went to pick up my smoothie. I asked for a menu because there is no menu online she said there is none I ask if I can take a picture of the menu that was over the counter so I can order the smoothies next time for me and my co workers she said no. I then ask so how am I suppose to know your options when I order over the phone she said well you don't have to order here. It hurts me to place this review but I must. I've been a consumer of Whipped treats since it opened about five years ago. The smoothies juices, tonics, and food have always been of high quality to me. For the most part this still remains to be true. What made whipped treats even better was the great service and person-ability of the baristas or staff if you will. This has changed significantly with the new staff that has come on board. On three separate occasions I've called in orders and have gone to pick them up and the orders have just been "forgotten." I do get that mistakes happen, but three times? Also the nonchalant attitude that was given when these errors were made is just not acceptable. To make matters worse, the overall demeanor of the staff is just not warm, friendly, nor welcoming as it once was. I've since stopped frequenting Whipped Treats. I post this review not to slander Whipped Treats but to voice issues that need to be addressed in order for them to flourish as they used to. read more

This place is amazing! I LOVE fresh juice and they have an entire fridge of them ready to go in glass bottles that you can even reuse for a low price of $4! And these are not your average fresh juices- they combine various fruit and ingredients like ginger, soursop, alkaline water, and/or cayenne pepper that also make great detox tonics. Also, the juices can stay in your fridge for up to a week so I buy a bunch and drink them over a few days. I discovered this place about a month ago and have been coming here one a week ever since and it's a 40 min drive for me! Love this place. It's really affordable and friendly. Never any issues. My favorite is the Honey Moss with soursop and watermelon. They also have charcoal shots which can be hard to find. Don't go in, in a rush to leave. They have consistent business and they take there time to make every drink properly. I can appreciate that.
