We both got the smallest smoothie size (16 ounces) and it was more than enough & very filling. There are a lot of smoothie options. They have pre-selected choices but allow flexibility. You can substitute almost anything & you pick the base of your smoothie (almond milk, yogurt, regular milk, orange juice, etc.). After about 10-15 minutes our food was served (brought to the table for us so we wouldn't have to get up). The chicken and rice was SO flavorful and cooked to perfection. Side salad & beans were great too! The customer service was also a huge plus. I didnt feel rushed or uncomfortable and they did not even make us pay until after we were done eating! They have a fairly large menu with lots of options , fresh juice, smoothies, and frozen yogurt. I decided to order their enchiladas platter with red sauce, which was listed at $14. Unfortunately, when I went to pay for my meal, I was told that the menus were old, and that the real price for the meal was closer to $20. I might've even paid more than that with tax included; don't remember 100%. But that was very disappointing. I told the young lady who was working there that they price was listed at $14 on their own menu; she responded that the correct price was listed somewhere on their board. Though I'm pretty sure it was unintentional, I felt a bit duped. Anyways, I took my food back home to see how it was. I couldn't help but to compare this enchilada platter to the one offered at Little Mexico about a block away cause they offer the same thing. So, first off, Little Mexico gives you a ton of chips and salsa when you order a platter from them. This was not present at Juicebox. The platter at Little Mexico definitely gives you more food overall. Anyways, I dug in, and the platter from Juice Box wasn't bad. The flavor was pretty good and there wasn't anything too offensive about it, but unfortunately it just pales in comparison to the enchiladas at Little Mexico. I couldn't help but to be disappointed that the enchiladas platter at Juicebox was less food, no chips, tasted worse, and was more expensive. The enchiladas platter at Little Mexico comes out to about $17-18 after tax. So those were my thoughts overall. So that was my experience with Juicebox Cafe. I might give it another shot in the future cause it's close to my home, but I don't feel inclined to, especially after the pricing debacle I experienced and the price I paid didn't seem justified.

Fresh, well blended and delicious. I always order online and find my items nicely packaged with tamper-proof seals. They also offer local delivery. It pays to order the large size since incremental pricing applies. I usually drink half of my beverage immediately and save the rest for a nice boost later on in the day. Smoothies can be customized with cashew milk, coconut milk or almond milk along with a wide array of flavors and add-ons. Pick your (non)-poison and enjoy! Tips: Purple Flamingo offers two-for-one smoothies in certain flavors (recently the "Berry Burst"), and general discounts during lunch hours, so look out for those. The only exception was one young woman who seemed polite. If you're lucky enough to be helped by her, your experience may be different. Unfortunately, everyone else I encountered projected such negative energy that it made me question whether I even wanted them preparing my food. A welcoming atmosphere matters, especially at a place serving food and drinks. When employees treat customers with hostility, it doesn't inspire confidence or make people want to return. The last two times I ordered a smoothie, it was so thick and overly sweet that I couldn't even drink it. Both ended up in the trash, which was a complete waste of money. I also ordered a patty that didn't taste fresh and upset my stomach afterward. I can't say for certain why, but it certainly did not taste freshly prepared. Since we always get their Pitaya or Green bowls, this was our first time trying their açaí based bowl. I decided to try their Nutella açaí bowl, which comes with strawberry, banana, and Nutella spread. Since I love blueberries, they let me swap the strawberry for blueberry which was nice. I could also choose a second base, so I picked their banana base, which I don't usually see at other places. My family got their Tropical bowl, which comes with pineapple, banana, and honey. The server was nice, and they made our açaí bowls quickly, neat and nice! What I love about Playa Bowl is that their base tastes amazing and is creamy, and the portion of fruit is great! They're usually around $16, which is a little expensive compared to other places, but it's definitely worth it. They have so many varieties of bowls with different kinds of base, the acai, Pitaya, green and banana. They also sometimes have seasonal bowl, which right now is the strawberry based bowl :) so you can try different ones each time you visit and find your favorite! My favorite so far is the Electric Mermaid, which comes with pineapple, mango, and kiwi on a Pitaya base. This location was great, nice and quiet, not crowded.
