SO glad we went there this morning! SUPER friendly greeting, this is a mom & pop place no glitz and no fancy frappucino's, although I am not a coffee drinker anyway. The donuts were amazing, blows away Dunkin Donuts BY FAR!! Got a dozen donuts to bring to the office, got soem paczki's too, almost that time of year! They were perfect, every single one of them! The blueberry cake donut tasted like blueberries! I know amazing right!? There were visible blueberries in it! I also had an old fashsioned donut with chocolate glaze on it, crispy & crunchy on the outside moist and tender on the inside! Not dry like DD! Later I had a lemon filled powdered sugar one, delish! I hate when places are cheap with the filling, this one was bursting with lemon custard when I bit into it. Really tangy and delicious. I was eyeing a blueberry muffin on the way to check out, it looked really moist and BIG! Next time I will get one for sure. Will definitely be back..... Oh there was a .50 charge for using my Credit Card because I spent under $10. Still the 9.50 for the dozen donuts was well worth it~ read more

Went to a laundromat nearby so I figured I'd try this place since I hadn't had breakfast yet. This place is not a looker and a little messy inside. The donuts are very good and reasonably priced, the coffee on the other hand eh, not so much . The guy behind the counter was super friendly and nice. Dinkels is my hot spot but since it is the opposite way to work, I decided to try out Wheeling Donuts. The lady watching the counter was very nice and asked me if I had any questions since it took me awhile to decide which donut I wanted. I decided to try creme filled donut and french kreuller. I usually do not see french kruller in small donut shop other than DD so I was excited to try it. French kreuller was very soggy and sweet. Might of been due to the glaze they use that does not harden. My first bite on creme filled donut tasted very sweet even without the creme filling. I think they use cheap chocolate and the inside filling was darker creme color which was odd to me. Pretty is on the cheaper side. I will try other donuts to see if I can raise a star for Wheeling Donuts. read more

I got 6 cinnamon roll and 6 donuts, only had about a dozen and a half left at 10am and maybe 4 kinds. I asked about the rolls they were double the price. 1 dozen donuts were about $7 something. The girl said she would give me a deal on the rolls. So I ordered 6 rolls and 6 donuts. She charged me nearly $17 bucks. I asked about the price and she said yes but I gave you a deal on the rolls. I tought a dozen donuts were $7? She said it was right and already put it on my card. For that kind of money they should have been big and warm. Next time I'll go to Jewel for a fraction of what these cost. The rolls were good but no different exept alittle bigger than a donut. The best red velvet donuts in the area! The donuts are always fresh-no matter what time you stop. Picked up a couple dozen and they were hopping busy at 5 am- several regular customers buying large quantities is always a good sign. And it's no surprise why they're so well liked-they have a great variety of classic traditional donuts that are moist and taste freshly made. Always a favorite. The lady behind the counter in the morning is always nice and attentive. Reminds me of the California donut shop we went to 30+ years ago. The buttermilk donut and the apple fritter are spot on. Coffee isn't bad either. This is not Dunkin Donuts, so don't go in there with those expectations, because these donuts are better in my opinion. Yummmmmm. I could go for a doughnut right now. My dad introduced me to this place because he is obsessed with cake doughnuts. They're denser, less airy and more delicious than your typical Dunkin Donuts doughnut. After eating one, I don't think I can eat a doughnut from anywhere else. The kind we typically get is a glazed cake doughnut. Idk if it has a special name or anything. It should though. It should be like "spectacularly amazingly deliciously yummy doughnut" or something along those lines. These doughnuts are so good and so filling. I'm full after eating one. Eat two and beware you'll be full for hours. Even my growing brother was stuffed beyond belief from two. I wish this place was closer to my house. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!! I have only been here once, but I will be back more often than not! The red velvet donut is amazing...it was moist, not too dense, delicious, authentic and had a great vibrant color! You could tell the donut was fresh and homemade. All of the donuts had a great presentation and looked amazing! i'm more of yeast doughnut girl myself. i've tried the chocolate long john at of wheeling dounts a year ago. it was average - at best. actually, dd's has better chocolate long johns. after my first experience, i wrote this place off... but, after reading all the rave reviews, i thought i'd give it a second chance. let me tell you, i was not disappointed. this time (based on the reviews) i stuck to cake doughnuts... and they made a cake doughnut believer out of me. the old fashion was the best-est cake doughnut i ever tasted. i'm salivating just thinking about it. i also tried the red velvet. it was decent - not sure what all the hype's about. all in all, i would definitely go back for another old fashion. read more
