I am not particularly afraid of insects - I can crush a cockroach or squish a scorpion - but an aggressive airborne army is more than I can handle. My "hornets in Tempe pool" Google search sent me to Hornets Pest Control, and I am so incredibly grateful. The owner, Ray, is responsive, polite and accommodating. On the day of our appointment, he arrived exactly on time and went to work immediately. He assessed the pool area and investigated our thick hedges before making a quick change into protective gear. Less than five minutes later, he was standing at our sliding glass door holding an enormous wasp's nest (had I been inclined to grasp the thing, I would have needed both hands.) The honeycombs were oozing with white, cocooning larvae. With all of those baby wasps on the way, our "bee" problem would have quickly become a dangerous natural disaster if Ray had not come to the rescue. He explained the deterrent strips he placed in the shrubs and around the infested area, and warned that we might see a few die hard "worker wasps" returning to their home base over the next few days, but they would relocate quickly. Sure enough, five days later, we were - and remain! - completely wasp free. For an incredibly reasonable fee, Ray gave us back our beautiful backyard. He is a pure professional and absolute expert. If you have pests and need the problem solved - quickly and completely on the first visit - don't waste your time calling anyone else.

Recently we discovered some new trails inside a closet and when we looked at the original report, we realized the garage wasn't treated so now the activity is on the other side of indoor the garage wall. Looks like we now have to start all over with a complete treatment. The front of the house did not have the holes drilled into the cement (just into the soft joints) like they did the back patio. Since this is near where the activity is, I'm wondering if that's what caused the issue to return. The people were definitely pleasant to work with; I just didn't realize we would need to start over with such an expensive process so soon after the first treatment.

The tech kept telling her, no it's ok, don't worry, its free and part of your pest contract. Then got her all worried and upset telling her there was evidence of termites in some dead tree in her yard and she NEEDED to do this treatment NOW and oh, we conveniently have someone in your area this afternoon. Lied and told her it that there were so many discounts they included that the treatment would only be $100. Then charged her credit card and gave her a BLANK invoice, so she didn't know she was charged $2,500 until much later.

I asked for a refund for the last 2 months and the woman answering the phone said the owner would call me. It's a month later and the owner hasn't called to resolve anything. The guy that came and pitched their lies to get us to sign a contract was the total definition of slick salesman... talked us into signing a contract after telling us we would get pest control and weed control including new sticky trap boxes in the garage every month..And that it would be a monthly service for $55 (we paid another company $75 every other month and we discussed this with the slick salesman and that his was a better deal because it was monthly!!) At the initial service the guy came and did only pest spray and said he didn't have us down for weed control.. called to complain and the salesman that got this whole sham started came out and sprayed for the weeds and then tells us they only come every other month but we make monthly installments of $55! So we are unhappy but thought let's give another month and see.. same thing they only do pest spray and no new boxes left in garage! This final time the guy comes and only pest spray and he tells me that weed is extra and he doesn't do that. I asked for my new sticky trap boxes and he said he was out and would do next time.. we called and cancelled and they charged us $145 to get out of contract.. our neighbor signed up at same time and he cancelled after the first month when he saw the guy only did his front yard.. he paid $110 to get out of contract!! It was so dumb of me to have signed a contract but the guy was so smooth and slick that I fell for it!! DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR $ BETTER COMPANIES OUT THERE ..call GREEN FLASH OUT OF AJ.. The people were very nice, however I hired them for their "Weed(s) Control Program" because the ad…read moresays a 6-month guarantee for a weeds-free yard and that they stop existing weeds. They came out and sprayed, but left the current weeds (which are huge) standing..no pulling, cutting, or removal, so my yard still looks completely overrun. If this is a spray-only service, that needs to be made very clear because "weeds-free yard" sets a totally different expectation. For $195, I expected the existing weeds to be addressed in a way that actually results in a weeds-free yard, not just an application with the weeds still there. Why am I paying almost $200 to go out and have to collect the weeds?
