UPDATE: tonight we waited almost an HOUR! For food. WTF!? We eat at WhatABurgers throughout Tx in the course of our travels and today's stop was a disappointment. We ordered "to go" at the inside counter so that we could stretch our legs and use the restroom. We waited and waited and waited and watched other people receive their food. I asked a cashier to check on our order (no joke, it was about 20 minutes after our order). Apparently our to go order had been delivered to someone at the drive through window and no one caught the mistakeIt took a few minutes for them to figure it out and then we needed to 'Reorder'. If they would've caught the mistake and or realized we've been sitting too long and checked on why we were still sitting empty handed and then said "hey, we're sorry, we need to restart your order", everything would've been fine. An apology with a joke but no complimentary pie or fries or refund and we are now 45 minutes late. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. This would have been our very first time ever visiting one of these. First off,the exit off I10 is horrible. I had a very difficult time even figuring out how to get there. After 3 u turns I finally arrived. Unfortunately the dining room was closed and told I had to use the drive thru. That was a problem. I have a large pick up truck with a large travel trailer. There was no where to try and turn around. The drive through had 2 lanes around the building and that left no bypass lane. Which is where the problem got worse. Now I was stuck in this area with only one option. Rude drivers who cut me off and stupidly blocked me and wouldn't move. The employee in the drive thru line wouldn't even acknowledge I was there. So after almost hitting a half dozen ignorant peoples cars. I finally was able to back all the way around and back out onto the highway. I was so mad even my family was scared Of what was going to happen next. I will never even stop at another Whatastupid setup burger. After reading these reviews. I guess I should be thankful we didn't eat here. The first thing they should do is put a notice on the interstate sign. Can't accommodate large vehicles or vehicles pulling any type of trailer and then a sign at the entrance. read more

We placed our order at the drive-thru. It was a bit slow, but I think they went to kill the cow first. The order was the easiest part. They told me to go to the first window. So I sat there about 3 minutes and no one came to any window to take my money. I went ahead and pulled up to the second window and again, just sat. Finally after about 10 minutes, someone came and got my money. It was still another ten minutes to get my food. I know they want fresh, but dang! Decided to stop by here on the way to New Braunfels and I'm glad we did! I had low expectations coming in since it is a fast food joint but I was pleasantly surprised! I ordered the Honey BBQ Chicken Strip Sandwich with the sauce on the side and my boyfriend got the Whataburger Patty Melt. I was really surprised how good the burgers were. The chicken strips were crispy but tender on the inside and the patty melt was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. This definitely makes me wish there was a Whataburger in California! read more

This was the absolute worst service I ordered 5 drinks online came to pick up they made me go through the drive through and the line was so long and when I got to the window they told me someone else's order and I said "No that's not my order I ordered 5 drinks under the name (My name) they proceeded to close the window and tell their coworker "we forgot to make the drinks hurry and make them" when I finally went home and gave them to my mother father and siblings they said "why aren't filled all the way" they legit just filled them halfway. read more

Wonderful location, received order in a timely manner. Breakfast was hot and delicious which included the honey butter chicken biscuit. The biscuit was tender and flakey. A generous amount of sauce was applied and it went great with some crisp hash brown sticks. Very satisfying, thanks again! read more

I received the worst meals I have ever gotten from my favorite burger place. I ordered a whata size #2 meal with extra veggies, my wife ordered a whatachicken sandwich, and my two preteen grandsons ordered a chicken strip sandwich meal. All of the meats were terrible we could not eat them. One of my grandsons was so hungry he tried to eat his sandwich and got a terrible stomach ache. I think the employees knew that we were on the road and that we couldn't return this order. The reason we stopped there was because of our pass experiences with Whataburger. The drive through line was kind of long, but we didn't get our food for a little over 30 mins. Then when we got to the window they had the wrong order of drinks and the car behind us got their food first. When they thought they had our food it was also the wrong order and the lady rolled her eyes at us like it was our fault. The only positive thing was when we finally got our order, it was warm. Brought the concern to to attention of the assistant manager and she said the paper was probably folded somewhere around mustard... This was not reassuring from a food safety or quality standpoint. Spent 21.00 on 3 combos, whataburger w/cheese and bacon. Got 3 whataburgers no cheese no bacon. Ordered 3 unsweet teas and got all 3 sweet teas. Waited over 40 minutes in drive thru with only 2 cars ahead of us. My recommendation is you might have better luck at McDonalds across the street. Don't go here! read more

I am personally bias when it comes to the Whataburger. I think it is one of the best fast-food-low priced burgers anywhere to be found. It always taste freshly cooked although I know it may not be. The bread id good and fresh and the burger is not load down like some other burgers that have a "secret sauces" that taste like a mixture of catsup, mustard and mayo. The service is quick not instant as they prepare your burger after ordering. Fries are good too.And the prices are among the most reasonable for fast food burgers. read more

Long story short, it appeared majority of their employees were on break all at the same time, we waited 25 to 30 minutes for food (burger, chicken strip and kid meal) and they didn't give us the chicken for the kids meal and the burger had been sitting there so long the bun was so soggy it couldn't even be ate.
