Located right off the interstate near Seguin. The order took around 15 minutes to fulfill, which seemed a bit long. The fries came out hot, fresh, and crispy, which was a plus. The double meat burger was decent but their Whata wings/ chicken nuggets with the Nashville hot sauce that is on promotion was absolutely terrible. First off, I'm OK with Whataburger as a whole. I've given two 4-star reviews to a couple good outlets, and one 2-star review for a not-so-good outlet. This one's easily the worst of the quartet I've visited. Avoid if all possible. Yes, the service is on the slow side. Yes, the dining room could be cleaner. But by far, the food is the big problem. I've never had a pair of Whataburgers come out lukewarm (how long were they sitting off the griddle?) and chewy. Even the fries were lukewarm! Did the heat lamp burn out? To be fair, I didn't approach management to correct the issue; we were in a rush, on the road, and frankly it was too crowded(!) to make a fuss. Now that I see all the 1-stars of this place on Yelp, I don't think it would've made a bit of difference either. Texas has lots of awesome burger options. It's going to be a while before I go back to a Whataburger because of that. This place gets 1 star on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. It's a fast food joint so there really isn't much to say. In my opinion it's the middle between Carl's Jr. and In N Out. It's not a total greaseball, but it's also not as mouthwatering as In N Out. However, I would definitely stop here over all of the other fast food options. I felt as if it was similar to a dine-in burger. WHY do I do this to myself?!?! Mainly because Seguin is grossly lacking in food options, especially on a Sunday evening. I'm confirming my previous review. This place is clearly run by incompetent individuals who could not care less about their job or their customers. We picked up food on the drive thru. That took ten years off of my life, sitting in a "fast" food drive thru for 30 minutes... I finally got our food and drove home (fifteen minutes away) to find out they didn't put ANY of our fries in the bag or the salad dressing for our salad. I tried calling three times and they didn't even answer the phone. Drove fifteen minutes back and asked to speak to the manager. When she came out, my husband explained that we didn't get our fries or dressing, and since it's a thirty minute drive round trip, we would like our burgers remade as well. She snatched the receipt out of his hand, and he asked how long it would take. She said "I don't know" and walked away. Twenty minutes later, our food was brought out to us by an employee. We never saw hide nor hair of the manager again. No apology. No explanation. This place is a waste of space. If you're driving through Seguin on I-10 and think about stopping, do yourself a favor and keep driving. You'd be better off getting a bag of chips and a soda at a gas station. I will be calling the corporate office tomorrow and giving some suggestions on how to improve this dump. For starters, close it and fire everyone who works there. read more
