Hey I get it, busy season in Destin I've survived 30 years of it. 1 person on the grill 2 others "helping" when there is clearly enough people to help expedite orders. I placed my order at 8:40, myself and another customer asked what is going on after 30 minutes the other gentleman asked for a manager. This meth head Cynthia comes out asking for our receipts I remarked this is ridiculous, Cynthia says I'm refunding you money and if I didn't stop talking she would ask me to leave instead of getting my order. Hey meth head my burger was STILL screwed up, good job. Anyway maybe you guys forgot without people coming in you wouldn't have a job which means no meth for you in fact why don't you use some of your money and get your damn teeth fixed! I don't normally dog individuals but this woman A. Had no right to speak to customers the way she did B. Took absolutely no responsibility for anything going on "I just got here 5 minutes ago" my ass I saw you outside when I got there! I enjoy whataburger but you are definitely not elite, McDonald's is faster, Burger King faster, just about anywhere is faster than this place. If I could leave this a zero star review I would. After waiting in the drive through for an hour, literally an hour, my wife, son, and myself were relieved to finally make it up to order. Where we were informed that it would be another 45 minutes to an hour before we got our food. Absolutely unacceptable. This is supposed to be FAST food. It's a basic burger and fries place. They make a good burger. No complaints. This location was extremely busy. The staff was friendly.

They need to have more staff, and reevaluate their processes to get back to being "fast food". Waited in drive through line for over half and hour before being able to order. We went at 7pm and they had cones placed where people order but had absolutely no signs explaining what was going on. The drive thru window had a car at it so we went behind it to ask if they were open and the girl rudely said they were closed. No explanation, no signs. It was storming so it'd be understandable if systems were down but is it that hard to tell us? Or if they went through the trouble of putting cones they could at least put a sign. read more

A little odd but after a long weekend family vacation, we landed on this spot for a final meal before departing our separate ways. Arrived shortly after 11 and it was already pretty busy inside but the parking lot still had plenty of parking. This location seemed really clean including the tables and the condiment/drink area. While waiting in line, I was able to look over the menu before deciding on what I wanted. I finally landed on a cheeseburger with jalapenos and it did not disappoint. My wife and kids had chicken fingers with fries. The food was decent but not anything memorable. Would I eat there again? Most definitely. I believe they even serve breakfast food all day (don't quote me on that). The only issue I could really see was the wait. The lines seem long and the wait for the food seemed even longer. We did not mind since we were sitting around hanging out with family before we left. read more

Place was very dirty. Literally trash and food all over the floor and tables. Only one cashier. Burgers were not made right. Never seen so much mustard on a burger from there. I am a local and every time I come here they say the wait is 30 minutes for the drive through. And they're not wrong. Slowest Whataburger (slowest any drive thru) ever in the existence of fast food. I could drive 20 minutes across the Midbay bridge to the blue water location, order food, receive it, and drive back across the bridge to my house faster than getting food at the Miramar Beach location. And again this is every single time I go to this restaurant. So bad. read more

Our first visit to a Whatabuger. It was good for a fast food type restaurant. My daughter and I got the junior burgers. Plenty big for us. My husband had the regular 5 inch burger. Really big. Only complaint was the booths were small and dinning area was not very clean. read more

The lack of customer service from one of my favorite "splurges" when at the beach. Not only did they forget 1/2 our order BUT when I called to let them know, the manager on duty, Brian, did not seem to care. Luckily, we were fairly close and had hungry kids with us so we went back to get the rest of our order. Thinking they would give us FRESH complete orders... NOT the case. I'm not sure how Whataburger can have less than 5 stars! It is a consistent classic. This is not a place to go for ambiance, service, or special orders. Order by number and let them give you what's on the menu. It's not complicated. After waiting for about 10 minutes, we began to notice people who had ordered after me receiving their food. This did not stop. Even a group of parents and their 4 children got their food before us. Next thing we knew, it was 45 minutes since we had ordered. Keep in mind, it was only my parents and I eating. We approached the counter, and the lady simply picked up my order receipt on a side counter and started to fix the order. About 10 minutes after that, we FINALLY received our food.
