We made an online order and we didn't mind sitting in the long line to get our food until we watched one of the employees have an extensive fight in front of their entrance with his girlfriend where she went up to the door waited for him to come out and then they continued to fight and everyone in line rolled down their windows just to listen...because waiting for an hour what else can you do. Then he asked her to move and she proceeded to flip off customers in line while she was in a clear argument with an employee who is getting paid to argue with us girlfriend instead of help with the line around the corner. Multiple employees passed including a manger in a white shirt (working hard) and didn't stop the argument. Again don't mind waiting but it was highly unprofessional and he could be one more hand helping or send him home to deal with his personal situation and not have is crazy disrespectful girlfriend cause a scene and be awful to paying customers. I wasn't even the customer lucky for her but they handled better and no one saw no issue with this situation at this location I will never come back...our food was also cold and we pulled up said are you ...name in the order and handed us the food and shut the window no thank you have a goodnight after waiting for an hour. Worst location I have ever been to i see why it gets two stars and will never come back or recommend. This place is the definition of worst customer service and food service ever they need to fire abs rehire or shit this location down I have nothing positive to say about this place or their employees. Coming from LA this was my first whataburger experience! I've always heard from Texans that whataburger is better than in n out. So I asked a buddy of mine what I should get for my first whataburger experience and he suggested I should get something on the all time favorite & special. So I ended up getting the whataburger patty melt. Overall I would have given it a 3.5. The fries were better than in n out, but the burger was alright. The Texas toast with the creamy pepper was decent overall, but if I had to choose I would still pick a double double. read more

I'm honestly not sure why this location has always had god aweful wait times but something needs to change. Been here plenty of times it's almost always the same wait which is forever. It's as if they started making it 5mins after you sit down. And if you are in the drive through just put on a movie sit back and relax because you are going nowhere fast. One major complaint I have is the patty melts don't have enough sauce on them, this location puts the least amount of sauce on it. Like my patty melts here are fairly dry and burnt. This Whataburger needs new management! This is a fast food drive thru... Yesterday around 2:15pm we went to the drive thru and order a chicken sandwich combo and that's all. The employee swiped our credit card at 2:17p.m. and walked back inside. At 2:32p.m., we are still sitting in our car and no food!! My passenger, walked inside to see what was going on??? The employees, including "The Manager" were hanging out at the front counter laughing and visiting while customers are wrapped around the drive thru having to get back to work!!!!! All of these orders were sitting on the counter to deliver to the customer; but, the employees were too busy visiting... OMG, really! Shaking My Head... Please address this major issue starting from "The Manager"... Unbelievable! And yes, food was cold!! Not happy with this Whataburger location... Changes are a MUST!!!! This drive through is notoriously slow, but today is the worst yet. I'm not even to the window yet. The car next to me seems to be making the most of it. Not only that but it takes another 15-20 minutes just for them to take your payment if you're lucky. My wife and I recently moved to Austin. We heard a lot of things about Whataburger... Commercials, word of mouth, etc. We decided to go to this location tonight and our experience was horrific. It was literally hellish. The staff was friendly, but unaware and nearly untrained. There was a lot of joking around... (I saw the cashier doing a hip thrust to his friend while bagging some food). Not to mention nobody was wearing gloves, and the same cashier coughed into his bare hands before preparing more food. You think that's bad? The worst part was the bugs. Crickets EVERYWHERE. It was like a horror movie. We walked in and stopped at the bathrooms, but my wife had to use the men's bathroom because crickets were lining the walls and floor in the women's. There were at least 10 dead crickets easily visible from the counter as we ordered, and we found more and more as we waited, got drinks, etc. Oh yeah and the crickets were literally falling from the ceiling onto the booths and once into a man's tray. We saw this happen multiple times. We both feel sick to our stomachs (my wife had to wait in the car while I waited for food) and hope this burger is worth the torture. Most of the time lots of cars are in line and it takes awhile to get through the drive thru window! I ordered the double meat patty, I will call it a whopper, fries and drink, it came out quick and was hot. Today the burger, and fries were good, I ate them in the near by parking lot. The burger even had ooze, lucky for me most of the time they are well, well done! I have been before and the quality is sometimes good and sometimes disappointing but today was good.
