I don't get McDonald's often but when I get off work late (11pm) there are not a lot of food options open. I choose McDonald's bc I love their double quarter pounder. Well this location charged me for a double quarter pounder and gave me the patties they use on their small ass burgers. The frozen ones. Wtf man. The point of a double quarter pounder and paying the extra $4 is so I can get fresh meat. I also got a 20 nugget and they were SO dry. As if they had been under a heat lamp all day. I had an "interesting experience" at the drive through today. Without getting all into the details, let's just say...the agent was just very unprofessional. Can't treat your job likes it's "High School". I started to just drive off and chock it up as another bad experience. But today I felt unpowered to change the world. So often supervisors and managers don't know what problems exist unless we bring it to their attention. It's not whining, it's part of the "Process Improvement". So I eat my meal, (I'm calm, no hangrys) go inside and asked to speak to the Mgr. I introduced myself and explained I had an "interesting experience" with her drive through agent. Mary Lou, the Manager, was very nice. She listened attentively. I was concise as I explained the incident, took responsibility for any action on my part that may have lead up to what happened. But I also explained how her employee's action represented her store. How as a manager she needed to know what was going on within the production line. I've supervised employees myself and it is a challenging role. Specifically now, since the pandemic, just getting your employees to show up to work on their scheduled days is a blessing. As "Yelpers" we read about or review our experiences at local establishments. Giving our readers a view of our experience. That's fine, yet as a business we should also help them to stay in business by bringing it to their attention. It's like telling another parent, their child misbehaved. It's touchy, but it needs to be said. When you have a bad experience at a business, bring it to the attention to someone who can do something about it. Don't just slam them with your review. Let the owner or shift manager know so changes can be made. Remember the "Titanic". An earlier course adjustment would have saved that ship. IMHO As far as the food, it's McDonald's l, it's always good in a pinch. So keep on reviewing and speak out when you can. Let our restaurant owners know when some goes a bit wrong. Nothing tastes more like childhood than good ole' Mickey D's. The nostalgia of the soggy French fries, the oddly shaped chicken nuggets, and the squished beef patties between two buns brings me back far, far down memory lane. It was partly by chance and partly by a longing desire that we ended up here. The menu has changed so much in the last decade or so, but has also surprisingly remained the consistent at the same time. I ordered a McDouble (two beef patties and American cheese in between two buns, hun!) it tasted just like an elementary school cafeteria (it was purdy good.) It came with a generous amount of chopped onions, pickles, ketchup and a dollop of mustard. The Hot n' Spicy McChicken was still just as delicious as ever. So it started off as a long wait time to order which is fine and normal. We finally get to order and she kept messing up the order. They had both drive-through lanes open, but we still waited in line for over 15 minutes just to get the completely wrong order. When my fiancé went inside and asked them to correct the order they did, but they didn't give him a free one or discount or anything like that. I've worked at plenty of restaurants, and when you mess up an order, I think it is just common courtesy to give it to them for free or give them a free drink... just anything to show that you're sorry. Came in with my boys to get after work snack which include ice cream sundaes. Got told a few minutes after paying that they couldn't guve us our ice cream do to them shutting down the ice cream machine after a certain time. It has been a long time since I went to a McDonalds; I drove up to the speaker box and ordered the Big Mac meal, yep I up sized and I added two extra patties on the big Mac! Then I parked and ate it. Well 16000 calories later the Mac Attack was over, yep I succumbed and ate it all. As usual almost everyone has eaten at a McDonalds at some point in time if you never have, you are a great person. So no change it is the same now as it was 5 years ago, except prices may be higher and they expanded their menu to a healthier type but all the old items are still there and the quality is the same. I will admit I get the breakfast sausage biscuit ever now and then. Hum, I see no kiddie's playground here, that's odd. I stand corrected, a small inside playgroud is there. Will I go back? I go here because it's close and I need something quick. This location is getting three stars because sometimes the food can be pretty good. The service however...Ah...let me take a deep breath. Understandably, it's food chain service and when the rush comes in things are bound to get complicated. From my past three years of observation, it's mostly drive thru that could use improvement. Some fixes from management can help: 1. Communication- it's so important to have a person having good communication at drive thru. I'm going to use today's incident as an example. I order my meal and the person on drive thru asks what else I'd like. I say just ketchup and bbq sauce. I like both for my fries. I'm weird like that. She gets super confused and thinks I'm modifying my burger with just ketchup...haha... I tell her no I want ketchup and bbq sauce on the side for fries. She's still doing something to the burger. At this point, I don't know how else to get her to understand to not modify anything to my meal. So I tell her "I just want ketchup and bbq sauce in the bag. Everything on the burger is fine." I'm sure I sound rude (not intentionally trying to be) She tells me to drive up. I think she was done. I pay and get to the front. I go back home. First, the burger was good. However, there was a ton of onions in them. Luckily for me, I have no problem enjoying onions in my food, even if I have to deal with stank breath after. Oh boy. 2. Direction! I feel like the employees are so used to getting orders wrong that they don't bother to verify what the customer is receiving. They just hand you the bag at the second window and wait for the driver to leave without realizing they got the wrong order. What does good direction sound like? "Here's your large coke. Your number 3 order is on its way. Here you go. Have a good day." Verify the order. Let them know they're waiting on something else to complete the order. Confirm the order is complete by a departing phrase. Which, by the way, it's not just about being nice! If you lead clearly, the flock of sheep will follow! If you can't find naturally articulate people, train your employees to be that way! I almost drove off a couple times because I didnt realize the drive thru person didn't give me my drink. People respond to social cues. This is one of the easiest things to take control of when handling the line. Thank you for the burger. I'll be taking a break from this location like I usually do, until I decide I haven't learned my lesson enough. read more

I pay for the food get to the window and like a smart person I check to make sure all my food is there as fast food has gone downhill. Sure enough I'm missing my fry for my meal. I politely let them know it's missing and would like it. They don't even look at a screen and try to tell me they didn't charge me for the fry.... Me: "I just paid for a whole meal. Yes you did." Then they asked for the receipt and tried to argue with me even though it was right there. Then they got the manager because they didn't want to deal with me asking nicely for my food I PAID for. Then the manager walks up asks "what's up?" I told him I'm missing the fry and he tried to lie to me too like I'm an idiot. These people are lazy asshats, rolled thier eyes, shut the window when I asked for my food while sighing like it was some kinda burden. If you don't want to work then stay home you lazy fuck. When I first moved here from out of state I was surprised by the friendliness of people. Especially restaurant staff. Over the last year your restaurant has deteriorated in quality of food and service. I'm not sure what happened but all of a sudden your staff is not friendly and your food is cold and soggy. This McDonald's might not be the cleanest after 1pm in their lobby as morning rush, and lunch rush have already passed by and considering they are short staffed they do a pretty good job. Probably one of the fastest McDonald's in the area again considering how many costumers they get and the few people working there. I visit here very very often when it's very packed both drive thru and inside and based how I worked on a younger years in this type of food chain I can say from experience they do pretty good here. Things happen very fast, sometimes they might forget your fry, or maybe missed no pickles here and there but it's understandable. It goes hella crazy orders here. And never have I seen that a case hadn't been resolved before when a customer's order was missing something or it was made incorrectly. Called multiple times and of course they wouldn't answer. When I finally did get through, I got an insincere and bored apology and an offer to either replace or refund which means I would have to drive back there through the storm. They said they could give me no more than either a replacement or refund. What about making it right for the customer?
