Been to this Whataburger several times. It's always delicious and I've never had issues with my order. This latest time, I arrived well past the time my online order was estimated to be done and still had to wait about 15 minutes after checking in on the app, but I was in no hurry to leave anyway as I had a bit of a drive to get home. This location of whataburger got the job done but could have improved in several areas in my opinion. One, it took quite a long time to go through the drive through. It took approximately 25 minutes to move through the drive through with only 6 cars in front of us. Also the strawberry milkshake had a very strange flavor and tasted like liquid cherry Tylenol. On the plus side, the hatch chili cheeseburger was tasty! It doesn't come with lettuce, onion, or tomatoes etc, so if you want those toppings, make sure to ask for them. read more

August 12, 2023. Saturday. Lunch. Luckily there was no line when I arrived. I visited this Whataburger because I had a coupon. The coupon offer; for buying medium fries ($2.39) and medium drink ($2.99) for a free southern bacon burger ($9.19) wasn't bad. So, with tax, I paid $5.78, for over $14 of food. They give you a number and deliver to your table. Delivery person brought me exactly the right number of catsup containers, 3. Kudos to you sir. Burger had 2 patties with pickles, onions, cheese, lots of crips bacon, and shredded lettuce with southern sauce (mostly mayonnaise). The burger tasted okay, I think the sauce didn't really complement the rest of the burger. Fries were dry and a bit stale. Tea, unsweetened, tasted fresh and thirst quenching. Being this franchise originated in Texas, I expected the tea to be this good. Overall, an average experience. I think there are better places for fries and the burger was just okay. read more

Definitely the greatest burger shop in the nation. The service is top notch and very easy going. They have a wide variety of options from classic cheeseburgers to specialty burgers with unique toppings. The atmosphere is casual and family-friendly. Awesome location that's super convenient and desirable. Not quiet in the heart of the city but close to some popular attractions and surrounded by beautiful scenery. Through the drive-up window I placed an order for three #8 jr. double burgers, small fries, small drinks. Which is what a #8 meal has. What I was handed were three regular whataburgers, medium fries, and medium drinks and up charged to the bigger meals. When I told the person at the window about the mistake, he argued with me. I asked to speak to the manager, and she said the #8's were correct. I believe they were trying to sell me what someone else had ordered but refused because everything was ice cold. The food is decent with the onion rings taking a prize as excellently prepared and tasty. The service however is poor at best when placing an order. My wife and I waited in line behind several others and it took way to long for the cashier to process the orders. Three registers are available and multiple times employees walked behing the active register ignoring the line which had reached the doors entering the restaurant. I spoke with the store manager and she seemed upset that I asked why another person could not man one of the unused registers to help process orders. She walked away when I pointed out the issue and sat down at a table where she was doing some computer work without attempting to help or solve the issue. The manager needs some management training in how to help customers who have a complaint. read more

I have been coming to this Whataburger for a while and would strongly suggest ordering curbside. I drive for DoorDash and we have to place the order when we come to the store and so far tonight I have been waiting for over 40 minutes and there are at least 5 other people who are in front of me. Each time I come I am always told they are understaffed and when I observe at least 10 people in the back I ponder what is fully staffed. I would recommend not coming during lunch and dinner rush. read more

This is an okay review. Ordered online confirmed my order in person, waited 15 minutes for the "onion rings" and they were lukewarm. The burger is the show, but is prepared sloppily and fell apart in my hands. Apple pie is alright. I sent so many emails to Whataburger to open up a store in Rio Rancho, NM. After about a year of them being sick of me, they finally opened one in Bernalillo, NM. Right down the street from me. I was happy. Store #1095. I am from Texas, was raised on Whataburger and what a disappointment this particular location has been. I am so sad to say this, because I LOVE Whataburger. I truly think it's the management though. When it first opened up, I was in there every single week and I became friends with one of the managers, well, not friends but acquaintances because he saw me every week. I saw how he ran it and he cared. After that, for the last few years, it's been crap. Food is not right, order wise, taste is not the Whataburger flavor I was raised with and today, I tried the BLT. It was more like a tomato and lettuce sandwich. Looked NOTHING like what is advertised. Where was the bacon? It's called a Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato sandwich, you would think the bacon would be prominent. I wish some big wig would come into this store and see that this store is making Whataburger's name look bad. Well, I swear, it's the workers. They need better management and workers who want to work and care. Other Whataburger stores around here are GREAT, I've had no issues with them. This is the ONLY location that sucks.
