Ordered online at 10, showed up to pick up my order at 1015 ad told them my name, my order was not ready. While waiting inside for my order which hadn't even been started yet, I was pleased to listen in a wide range of conversations that shouldn't be happening at the workplace. Around 1023 I noticed that 2 orders were given to a group of these employees friends for free (there were no actual transactions at the register and I visibly witness the young man and young lady tell them In the back what they wanted, so I know it wasn't an online order. Around 1025 the free orders were given our, at which point I asked when my food would be ready because it had been 25 minutes since putting in the order. Once the young lady went to the back to check on it, i then got into a verbal confrontation with the young couple that had just gotten a free meal because they didn't appreciate the tone I spoke to their friend in. Im not paying to have to wait these absurd amounts of time, only to see my order is being ignored because a bunch of high school students want to tell stories in the back and give out free meals to their friends, and To be met with the threat of violence. Do better because I'll drive miles to go to the next whataburger if this is the best this location will give. The orders are only right half the time. Food is good when you get it, but that could take half an hour on a bad night. Do NOT go at night, night shift has terrible service. The most unfortunate thing about this Whataburger is that it's an isolated oasis in an other wise fast food desert (there's stuff out here but it SUCKS BAD!) so the service suffers because it's packed all day every day. But the staff is really trying, always positive and smiling even when the customers are not. The quality is good but they need some support in managing the constant rush. I've noticed that I have much better luck ordering on the app and picking up curbside than trying to fight the drive thru. Bring your patience, leave with peace and a damn good burger. read more

I frequented this location enough to know now that this whataburger has to be the worst I've ever been to. I love whataburger. It's my favorite fast food chain, but this one is such a disappointment. Do not go in and order food unless you want to wait 20-30 minutes while they focus only on drive through. They are always out of items. Went 3 time in a row over multiple weeks and they were out of butter. When someone orders the pancakes I think it might be good to inform the customer you don't have butter. Their drink machine is always broken! On top of that they won't tell you when you are ordering the meal. You just find out the hard way when you walk up to get a Dr Pepper and you are greeted with 13 stickers across all fountain drinks saying out of order. Every time we come visit the mother-in-law my daughter begs to hit this Wataburger location. If your familiar with this franchise-chain it's not a bad place to eat if your in a hurry and you don't mind stacking the bad calories. This location has good customer service and to me that's what counts these days with regards to franchise locations. My kids love the chicken tenders with extra gravy. If I'm starving and I feel like a decent burger I'll add Jalepeños to my burger to give a kick. I also recommend drinking water instead of the fountain drinks. Went through drive thru, at 10:58pm. You can see a long line, which means you know that there's a wait time, which is fine. Everything was fine until it was my turn to order waited 10 min at the drive thru and no one took my order. The people before me got their order taken just fine, the people in the other lane were getting their orders taken, I even spoke into the microphone thingy saying excuse me or hello? No response. After 10 min I went to the front told the girl that I didn't get my order taken and that I needed to place an order there. She said give me a minute and went and talked to someone came back and told me I either had to go inside to place my order or go back around in line again. No sorry or anything. The takeaway is why only me? The person behind got their order taken right after I moved out of the way. Also it sounded like one person was trying to take orders from both lanes. This review feels like a mean-spirited kicking of a child off his new bike before he can even enjoy training wheels. I hate giving restaurants a hard time when they are just getting opened-up, but Princeton has a habit of slow "fast food" lingering long after the grand opening. The McDonalds that has been open for about a year, just up the street, seems to be run by the sloths from the movie "Zootopia". You'll wait all day to get your drive-thru, and then it's wrong. I digress... Back to the new Whataburger. It's only been open for a couple weeks, at most, so there's still a bunch of trainers and extra staff hanging about. That was the impression when we first arrived. About 40 people in Whatburger uniforms just sitting all over the restaurant, behind the line, in the booths...just hanging out. You could run ten Whatburgers on the payroll just sitting down at the dining room tables...chatting. Maybe the trainers were all simultaneously on a massive break? Who knows... Not a great first impression, however. Kudos to the gal with the short hair who noticed I was carrying a toddler and trying to drag two high chairs while wading through the Whataburger convention they were having. She pulled a couple tables together, helped get my high chairs parked around it and seemed genuinely hopeful I would have a good dining experience. Then the fun began: Out of all the soft drink selections on the soda machine I might want, the first three I opted for were out of syrup...just carbonated water. The food is delivered. Two of the orders are missing onion rings. My wife asks for mustard and gets honey mustard. It would have been funny, if it weren't so tragic. The people at the register were polite and efficient. The gentleman delivering the food (and bringing back the missing and incorrect items) was incredibly polite and good natured. The building is new and clean. The food (that was right) was actually pretty good. My advice is to give the team there a few more weeks of practice and to let the army of Whataburger trainers clear out. Then...hopefully... this restaurant will at least be faster and more accurate than their McDonalds neighbor. Good luck! read more

Every time I go here there is always a mistake. Tonight was by far the worst was it the... 30 minute wait? Forgetting the sauces of my Buffalo ranch sandwich so it doesn't get soggy on the ride home? Asking for the new ketchup and spicy and getting regular only then going up to the door and only getting two of each with four meals? Or the fact that the regular ketchups had holes in the foil and got over everything. But hey at least they gave me extra order of cold fries. His polite happy voice just makes you smile as you order. Hooray. We have been hoping for years to get a Whataburger in Princeton. They have better hamburgers than Jack in the box or McDonalds. They actually trust customers to help themselves to condiments. McDonalds treat you like a felon if you ask for salt or pepper. Whataburger is a very pleasant dining experience. You get lettuce and tomato on all burgers. A senior drink is free (not $.50 as at MCD). The counter staff is trained and polite. They actually listen to you and make eye contact. No long lines or having to get by upsizing spiels. We had our meal delivered to our booth 8 minutes after we walked into the door. This is fast food as it should be. A usual, great burgers delivered by a person with a tray of condiments. I rate Whataburger as the best burger place in Princeton. Jack in the Box is second due to less tasty burgers.
