This Whataburger is much cleaner than the one near DFW airport, and there isn't any gas station attached to it, which is a good thing. The food here is always hot and fresh, and the staff hustles. Grilled onions are a must on any Whataburger I order, and they do them right- caramelized but not burned. The chicken strips are the best in fast food, but skip the sauces and go straight for the gravy when you need a comfort food fix. And I love the spicy ketchup! read more

We stopped in for lunch on Monday, April 18th. I had the A-1 Thick & Hearty Burger. This is one of my all time favorite Whataburger, burgers! The burger was piping hot (you can see the heat vapors coming right off of the sandwich); however, my fries were not. They felt as if they had sat from some time, but were okay nonetheless. Each bite of my A-1 Thick & Hearty was packed with flavor. It was good to the last bite. The lady that took our order (an older Hispanic female) was very polite and courteous. One of the managers (not sure if she was the GM or one of the Assistants) was walking around the dining room checking on patrons to ensure they had everything they needed. A few weeks ago, I went through the drivethrough for breakfast. I didn't realize it, but my card wasn't working. I am a regular. I was preoccupied, worrying about identity theft; he must've read it on my face. The young man working the window actually offered to pay for my breakfast. I shook my head no and handed him another card, smiling. I'm writing this because it touched my heart. This kid has been working here for a while, and he is one of the kindest servers I have ever encountered. I wonder if people know. I want you to know. There are not many good humans left in the world. I hope his boss reads this. I've been meaning to call a praise into corporate. I will do so in short order. The staff here is always nice. If ever you eat in the dining area, a very kind lady circulates the room, checking on people, offering condiments and bussing tables. It's just a really nice place, and a really kind crew. read more

Worst whataburger I have ever seen. I got a #2 double whataburger meal which was alright although the fries were on the level of McDonald's, no flavor at all. The service was slower then any whataburger I've gone to. Took the cashier several minutes of standing there to get my order which was simple. Then took nearly a hour to get my food. Was told I could not carry my firearm inside when they do not have a 30.06 or 30.07 sign posted, promply left after that. I have carried in this location before with no issues and then this happened, it was the General Manager of this location that told me it was "Company Policy". I don't usually visit fast food restaurants but I was in a hurry and hungry. Just needed my jalapeño burger fix.The drive thru line was long so I decided to go in and order. Sheila took my order. She was so pleasant and engaging. Sheila asked me if I was ready for Thanksgiving and the conversation went on from there. We talked about what we were preparing for our families for Thanksgiving and then discussed skin care. Our conversation was delightful and the burger was delicious. I decided to eat my burger inside as it was rainy and dark outside. I had the opportunity to watch the employees interact. They truly were enjoying one another as they took care of customers. I've only gone through the drive through and got 50/50 service. It seems like some folks don't do they great of a job hiding the fact they hate what they do. The food has been great, I'm never waiting too long, and never had an oder messed up, but I think some folks need a little refresher in their customer service skills. If you hate your job, work somewhere else. Don't have a bad attitude about it and take it out on the customers. I have had good customer service there too. So I used to live in Texas for many years but recently moved to Florida, so it's always a must to find a whataburger! I arrived late from a flight into Dallas and asked my Uber driver to take me to Whataburger and we went through drive through. It was a long line but moving. Once I get to my hotel my bag is leaking and I find that abnormal but continue to open the burger and take a few bites and long and behold all patties are pink inside! Beyond RAW! I call the manager and he is apologetic and also doesn't understand how a burger is made raw! He asked me to come back and get my refund and have my food remade. Told him that can't happen because I took an Uber and I would be in meetings all day so he needed to refund my money. He said he couldn't do that over the phone but I could call corporate. I called them and the rep took my information and said someone would call me back. The GM did call me back the next day and said they would refund my money within 24-48 hours. The sad part was that it felt like it wasn't a big deal and it seems this goes on more than what we think. Unfortunately I did wake up throwing up for the two pieces I ate before I realized how pink it was. I definitely will be reaching out to the health department and contacting an attorney. Absolute slowest drive-thru! Would have left but I was stuck with a car behind me. Waited 15 minutes just to get to the window and then after they charged my card it took another 20 minutes! The only positive was the food was not cold. I will never be back to this location again. Too many other options with better service. On a side note, if management is reading this. It would be nice if someone opened the window every once in a while and said that they were sorry and the food was coming. They would not even look at us as they walked around behind the counter. Then when we finally got our food, they just handed the bag out the window. I used to be a manager of a food establishment and it would go along way for someone to say a few words. I have been away from Texas now for almost 3 years.....I had to write in my review for my favorite fast food burger place (since they do not have these in Wisconsin). Excellent food, excellent service and always nice and clean (at least all the ones I have been to in DFW/Ft Worth and Houston. For breakfast I highly recommend just the egg, sausage and cheese tacquito (cures all hangovers) and for lunch or dinner the Whataburger with cheese. They have a million different ways of "fixin" these things up so be prepared to take your time and get your choice right. I look forward to my next trip to Texas for their delicious "on the go" food choices....always quality. read more

What is up with this location?! What a disappointment. First of all the service was very slow even though it appeared there were many employees working. The service was unfriendly. That is totally unlike whataburger! When I went in at 930am there were at least 7 other people in the dining room waiting on their order. Not a good sign. I did see four employees also sitting in the dining area. If they are that behind, shouldn't they have not been on break? The two managers even though they saw me and the female even walked right in front of me, never acknowledged me, didn't smile, didn't say someone would be right with me. This location was such s disappointment. Whataburger is usually known for being a friendly, southern restaurant where people enjoy going and being met by friendly faces. The woman that took my order had a uniform shirt on that was so filthy that it looked like she drug it around on the parking lot. This place needs to go see how the Bedford/Euless location is run. They are fantastic! The two shining stars were given only because at the Grapevine location is a lady named Alma. She stayed busy, she spoke and joked with customers, she smiled, etc...now for the food, were you running out of scrambled eggs? My biscuit had barely a tablespoon of eggs on it. Solid franchise. I've been to this location a number of times. I really appreciate that the employee at this register takes the extra step of trying to remember what everyone ordered, even during the lunch hour. This really raises the level of service at this particular location from a standard fast food joint to that of many places that are opening up at higher price points. This especially helps with the high number of customers ordering their food to go during the lunch hour versus those who wish to dine in. Good experiences here. read more
