The only problem for me is that it's a bit too pricey for such a small burger and to the guy who took my order at the front was extremely rude and gross. We were craving burgers so stopped in here. I Had the special korean chicken burger with gochujang and kimchi. Ummm.... idk what they think is kimchi. But this was not. It was more like plain cole slaw. Nothing fermented or spicy about it. The gochujang sauce was ALOT ! It was dripping out from the bottom of the burger. It was def tooooo much. Maybe you can request for it to be lightly sauced? Or sauce on the side. The regular double cheeseburger tasted alright but was very greasy. Grease was dripping from the burger. So over all. It's really a shame for me to give Shake Shack 3 stars because I frankly love Shake Shack, but my experience here (and so far at all the TX locations) have been disappointing. I ordered for pick-up at 3:30 online and they introduced the truffle burger and the truffle fries which I was excited about. I arrived around 3:45 and my order was ready so I was happy that I could grab and go. I had to eat in the car when I arrived at my workplace. Burger looked solid and when I took a bite -- it was pretty good too! Had the truffle scent and everything. Unfortunately, the fries were disappointint. It had parmesan cheese powder on the fries which was good but they forgot my truffle dipping sauce. I was really looking forward to the dipping sauce but I was pretty disappointed it wasn't there and I drove too far to go back and ask for it. Another note to self that I need to check the bag all the time before heading out. Oh man, I cannot get enough of Shake Shack! I usually default to a chicken sandwich when I come here (I'm just weird) and MAN are they good. This time, I was in desperate need of a cheeseburger. Shake Shack saved the day! The Double Smoke Shack was to die for! Their meat tastes fresh, not too greasy, perfectly moist...I could go on. It's just a perfect burger. Employees here are friendly and always helpful! It's clean here and is just such an easy place to come knowing you'll have a good experience (and even a quick one if you're in a pinch). Prior to this evening, my only experience was dining during weekend brunch. Today, I decided to try dinner. Because app notified me mobile ordering was not available for this location, I had to order in person. When I noticed several orders ready for pickup while in line, I wondered how those customers were able to order for pickup. I ordered the Hot Ones Burger which is advertised as the Spicy Bacon Cheeseburger on their in-store menu. I . In my previous experience ordering at the counter for brunch, I had to wait by the pickup counter for my order. As this during dinner hours, I was given a number tag. I enjoyed not having to wait by the pickup counter as the area can get crowded. Some fast food restaurants provide a straw and napkins when food is delivered to the table; Shake Shack is not one of those restaurants. Since only my cheeseburger and drink were on the tray, I had to go inside to get them. The Hot Ones burger may be spicy for some folks, but it was not for me. I did enjoy the different flavor of the Spicy Shake Sauce. Considering the Hot Ones burger is almost a dollar more than the SmokeShack, I would not recommend it for the frugal. read more

My goodness!! This place has some amazing food! Had the double smokeshack burger(plain and dry, I'm one of those), and it was very VERY good. It was a little crusty on the edges and nice and soft meat in the middle. Cheese oozing out of the buns and the bacon was nice and crispy. The fries were also very nice and crispy. Perfectly salted. It just doesn't taste like a fast food burger. It tastes like something from a nice restaurant! Highly recommend these items. I love Shake Shack, I'm a big fan and have been a customer for a decade now, since they were just a shack in Madison Sq Park. I've watched them grow with multiple locations in NYC and eaten at their international locations in London and Dubai. I usually always go for a double shack burger, cheese fries and a chocolate shake but the prices can add up!! On this occasion I tried their 'shroom burger which was actually quite tasty, their burgers are on the smaller side compared to the likes of Whataburger and Five Guys, but it was a good burger and I didn't even miss not having meat!! Cheese fries good as always, though it was a little short on the cheese!! I had a huge 24oz of Brooklyn Brewery's Madison Sq Park Ale which was very drinkable and their salted caramel concrete for dessert (the name escapes me) - which was very much on the salty side and not my favourite - we have a gallon of Bluebell's new salted caramel cookie in our freezer right now and that's amazing! We also tried their chicken bites as I'd haven't had them yet, but they were disappointing - tiny bites - the size of Chick-fil-A nuggets (and their small!!) if not smaller! Especially compared to the size the chicken sandwiches are! Also the dipping sauces aren't made in-house :( However I got my Shake Shack fix! It's been awhile. The portions are smaller and the prices on the high side but they make tasty food. If there was a Shack closer to me, I probably would be there more frequently - In-N-Out is my local burger joint now! read more

I attended a Yelp Event at the Shake Shack on September 3rd. I was happy to find a Mushroom Burger on the menu and ordered it along with fries and a Cascara Shake. I've never heard of Cascara before but it was delicious, very subtle flavor and the frozen custard base made it very creamy and rich tasting. I later googled and discovered that Cascara is derived from cherries from the coffee plant. Delicious!! The Mushroom Burger was tasty with a well seasoned and batter fried mushroom filled with cheese. It was on the small side but it was very rich in flavor. The fries were hot and crispy. I enjoyed my meal very much. This particular restaurant is conveniently located on Southlake Blvd and is easy to get to. I really like the decor of the restaurant. Our table was made from a recycled bowling lane!! I would recommend this restaurant to any burger lovers. I would personally welcome the offering of a Black Bean or Quinoa Burger for those of us that are vegetarian/vegan and would like a serving of plant based protein. read more

My friend and I were with our kids deciding on what to eat. We saw Shake Shack and without a doubt I said "Let's go!" She had never eaten there so I bragged about how amazing the food is. Walking from the parking lot to the door, I noticed the tables looked filthy outside. Dried up ice cream on the table tops and just trash all over. Posted on the door is a sign stating that the air conditioning is out! We are already in 90 degree weather but needless to say we were not going to dine inside with no circulation. We went in to order. The cashier was very unhappy looking and her attitude was rude. The sweet tea was out. Usually, from all of the Shake Shack visits we've been to (from Austin to Frisco), the drink is served with the meal. We were given cups when we placed our order. I asked the lady if they had more tea behind the counter. She said they would make some and to give it about 5 minutes. Our food was already ready and still no sweet tea. We asked again and it would be another 4 minutes. We sat outside in the heat at a table we cleaned. The outdoor lights shut off. This is around 8:30 pm. So basically dining in the dark. The burgers were very salty but the fries were good. We finally got our tea when we went inside and asked for the third time but the taste was strong. My daughter compared it to coffee. No one ever came out to clean the tables and the lights never came back on. It was a huge mess. I was very embarrassed that I took my friend here hyping it up for her and it was an absolute disaster. I even thought they may had just opened because of how terrible things were going but looking on previous reviews after, they have been open for at least 5 months! I'm an In-n-Out guy, but my wife really likes Shake Shack and we've begun to frequent this one a good couple of times in recent months. The burgers are smaller than what I would like and the prices are higher, but they do make a good burger, the double SmokeShack at $10.something is $$$, but tastes damn great. They recently added the Korean style Fried Chicken sandwiches to their menu, which I understand are highly popular in their South Korea locations, and I love me some kimchi. The sandwiches do look small, I swear the bun was smaller than the burger buns! (lol, I think it was just me), but the fried chicken breast(? - I wanna say) was a good size, cooked well, and the gochujang sauce was tasty, sweet but I wouldn't say spicy. Good amount of kimchi underneath the chicken, it just needed a little more crunch to it. Overall though, it was a good Korean chicken sandwich, and nice new addition to the menu. COVID-wise, every other table inside is currently taped off to allow social distancing. A couple of months ago when we dined outside, tables weren't taped off. Staff seem to be wearing their masks. Soda fountain is blocked off, and usage allowed by staff only. The inside was starting to get fairly busy and I never saw a staff member come on to the restaurant floor and wipe down tables, which is a shame. read more

I'll start this review off on a light note! Their seating is 10/10. They have plenty of seating both inside and outside. I love that there were multiple long bench tables because I have a big family and it fit us perfectly. I ordered the Shack Stack, fries and their limited edition Strawberry Limeade. My husband ordered a double cheeseburger, fries and a Coke. The wait wasn't too long considering how busy-ish they were. I'd say we waited 5-10 minutes. Welllll. When they called our name, I asked for some dipping sauce and miss lady was pretty rude to me. She ended up giving me one tiny little side of sauce but I wasn't about to ask for more because I wanted to enjoy my day. Moving on to the quality of the food! Condiments and utensils were stocked and refilled when low. I usually order the Shake Stack, which is a glorious Cheeseburger with a 'Shroom burger thrown in as well, but I opted for a simpler version on this trip. Here's what I ordered: 'Shroom Burger: This is fried Portobello mushroom that has melted muenster and cheddar cheese piled into it. It comes with the usual lettuce and tomato along with the ShakSauce (like a thousand island dressing or fry sauce). Anyhow, still as consistent and delicious as if ordered from any other Shake Shack. Watch out for that initial bite into any burger with the 'Shroom patty. That cheese gets everywhere and you definitely want to keep every delicious calorie in your mouth. Losing any cheese into the burger wrapper or table is just too cruel. Hot Chick'n: Friend chicken breast that has guajillo and cayenne pepper in the breading with slaw and pickles. This was delicious and quite spicy, but worth the heat whether you like things spicy or not. Well executed and chicken wasn't dry at all. Fries: The crinkle cut fries are always crispy on the outside and soft inside. Great and delicious fried potatoes. Can't go wrong with this and even better if you opt to add the cheese sauce on it. Frozen Custard: Custards here are amazing. Nice and creamy smooth texture to their custards. Delicious in a shake or after any meal. They're a great treat. As good as Andy's Frozen Custards. This place is great and has outside seating as well. Food is consistent and always tastes amazing. Only thing that feels a bit cruel is despite how delicious everything always is, I tend to feel hungry even after a complete full meal (Burger, fries, drink, and dessert). The burgers and portions tend to be a bit small considering the price you pay for the food, but don't get me wrong, it's worth the price based on the quality of food you get. I just want more... Minding the price, this place definitely gets 5 stars on food/service, but drops a notch solely based on the price and portion sizes. Shake Shack has practically carried out their New York prices here to Southlake and I can't work with it. Especially with those portions! Shake Shack had always been one of those restaurants that I've always wanted to visit, but never passed by the right time and felt the actual need to stop and get a burger. A few weeks ago, that was the day! Me and my son had ordered two burgers (big mistake!), Smoke Shack & the Truffle Burger along with cheese fries. Seating was a bit of a trouble since every table was occupied, but luckily they have outdoor seating, right? Well the outdoor covered area made the noise of the families at the other tables amplified x10 and it was pretty chilly to sit on the benches outside of that space. So we opted to come back inside and lucky enough there was an empty table waiting for us. Our burgers were quality from the buns to the meat and toppings, but the Smoke Shack was nothing special for a burger with chopped cherry peppers adding a nice tanginess. Same for the cheese fries though the sauce wasn't practically Velveeta, it's nothing to write home about--the wooden sticks given with the fries just made it more difficult to pick up the fries in my opinion. On the other hand, the Truffle Burger though had an amazing mushroom truffle flavor in the mayonnaise slathered on top along with the slight crunch of the fried onions. One problem I had were the burgers being underwhelmingly small for its price, when at Whataburger you can order burgers twice the size AND half the price. We ended up still being hungry after the burgers and the fries so we picked up some Crumbl cookies nearby... In summation, going here for my family would just be for the novelty of it and no going out of my way for their burgers. I was seriously excited trying out the shake shack because I haven't had a burger in a long time! I looked up the menu and nutritional value on the company's website ahead of time so I could make an informed choice. I love it when company's provide nutrition information on their website. I had the shack burger which had angus beef on a potato bun. It was delicious, juicy and cooked to perfection. I also ordered the crinkle cut fries and a topo chico. The crinkle cut fries were nice and crunchy and tasted amazing. I saw other people getting the cheese fries with bacon and those looked delicious! The restaurant is in Southlake Town Square and parking is plentiful in the back of the restaurant. The decor is trendy and modern and I like the fact that you can order wine, craft beer or bubbly with your dinner. I'm looking forward to returning and trying the chick'n shack on my next visit and a concrete! read more

We were pretty impressed overall. There isn't a drive thru, which is not a big deal. Friendly staff and com pets our order quickly. I had a Shack Stack. Really delicious, especially the cheese. The burgers are not large in diameter, but loaded with lots of goodies. The wife had a hot cacao shake that was delicious. I appreciate them having bio degradable straws. Pleased to see that.
