The barbacoa was extremely fatty--so much so that it was hard to eat and honestly made me gag a bit from the amount of fat in the meat. It was really disappointing because I've had so many great experiences here in the past. I'm hoping this was just a one-time issue, because I truly enjoy this place and would love to see the quality of the barbacoa go back to what it used to be.

She was attentive, friendly, and very helpful throughout the meal. My husband ordered the antipasto salad, which was loaded with meat and cheese. It actually could have used a little more lettuce, but it was generous enough for two people to share. I ordered the veal parmigiana, and unfortunately, I was disappointed. The menu didn't mention that it was made with breaded veal patties rather than actual pounded and breaded veal. Had I known that, I never would have ordered it. To me, that's a very important distinction and something that should be clearly stated on the menu. I should have realized when the veal on the plate was completely circular and both pieces looked exactly the same . We also enjoyed a limoncello cocktail, and my husband was happy with the large mugs of Peroni for $8. The bread served before the meal was hot, fresh, and wonderfully yeasty. Overall, the atmosphere is charming, the service was excellent, and there were definitely things we enjoyed. We'll return, but we'll be sticking with the more traditional menu items next time.
