It wasn't…read morevery busy, and while waiting to be seated, we could see the inside had a nice, cozy ambiance. We chose to sit outside on the patio since the weather was great--but unfortunately, that's where things started to go downhill. The ambient Italian music was playing so loudly that I could barely hear myself think, let alone have a conversation with the person sitting across from me. Service was... fine. Our server was polite and did her job, but nothing stood out. The host, on the other hand, seemed visibly annoyed that we asked to sit outside, as it meant he had to clean off a table for us. As for the food, it was honestly very underwhelming. Everything ranged from mediocre to bland. We ordered salads, cheese bread, a "Tour of Italy," chicken parmesan, and cheese ravioli. The cheese bread looked like something my eight-year-old could have made--but surprisingly, it was probably the best thing we had. The sauces across the dishes were extremely bland, almost like they came straight out of a can. At one point, I'm pretty sure my ravioli were burned on the bottom. For the price, the quality just didn't match up at all--it felt overpriced for what we got. I remember reading another review that said this place is rated well simply because there's nothing else like it nearby, and honestly, that felt spot on. This seems like a case of convenience over quality. If you're really craving good Italian food, I'd recommend making the short drive to Highland Village and eating elsewhere. Overall, this place is mediocre--and I'm being generous when I say that.

We hadn't been since their renovation. Yayyy, Earl's! Not so fast. The prices have gone up quite a bit and the quality, way down. We ordered the Italian Cobb and it was good but a bit sparse - not packed full of all the yumminess it's made of anymore. Nonna's meatballs were the biggest disappointment. They have gone up almost $5 I believe and whoever's Nonna made them, overcooked or microwaved them to death. They used to be SO good! Now, they aren't. We ordered 3 pizzas - the Bianca, the Margherita and the BBQ Arezzo. The Bianca was good, the Margherita was good but a little sparse and the BBQ Arezzo was awful. Like, nobody would eat it awful and that's pretty bad. I don't know if ingredients were bad or what but there was little to no sauce and it was just...bad. So bad that I called and spoke to the manager that offered a free pizza - NO thanks - or a refund. I opted for the refund and because we still have not gotten a refund for the 1 pizza only, I decided to write a review. We have literally been going to Earl's for YEARS and it has always been amazing. I looked past the prices going up because the price of food had gone up but when nobody will eat the food because it tastes horrible or is overcooked and we have spent close to $100, I'm out. Not sure what's going on but they definitely need a new Nonna to whip them back into shape.

This is a pizza parlor chain we used to visit regularly when we lived in Northern California, and they knew it would be nostalgic for me. While the location wasn't extremely close to us (40min away), the interior was very clean, and it was obvious that this establishment was relatively new. The staff was friendly, and the ordering process was painless. Unfortunately, the order receipt machine that relays orders to the back ran out of paper and for some reason even when they replaced the paper the system isn't set up to print those orders stuck in limbo. We had been out most of the day, and hadn't eaten much because we knew this would be filling. 40min had past which we thought was a little ridiculous, and the staff actually noticed that we were still sitting without our food and they investigated. I will say, while it took us over an hour to get our food, the staff was apologetic. They comped our meal, gave us a side of garlic knots which are super delicious. And the pizza, when it finally came out, was delicious and was even better than k remembered it. I hope my experience was a one-off, but again, they were gracious hosts and they made the situation right. Pizza-lovers of TX, I would strongly recommend you at least try this establishments. The sauce is incredible, and the pepperoni cups are what make it Mt. Mikes pizza. I am so excited to see them popping up here, and I would hate to see them go. Some tips: Try the garlic knots or the new jalapeño garlic knots. If you want a healthier option, dine-in and check out their fresh salad bar. Cheers!!

We had the half pepperoni and cheese large pizza and the breadsticks that's 12inch. The service was amazing the girl at the register was very friendly and attentive. The ambiance is family friendly and very clean. The food is not the best I have to be honest. It was basically a step up from Little Caesars pizza. If in a pinch I would go again but it wouldn't be my first choice.

We started with the Arancini, a deep-fried ball of rice, pesto and mozzarella; rolled in bread crumbs. Never had anything like it before. It's amazing. Their tomato sauce is so fresh and salted perfectly. For your entrees, you "build your own"....choose your pasta, the sauce and the protein. My wife had the penne pasta, tomato sauce and meatballs. Very good. I chose the lobster ravioli with vodka sauce. Excellent. The bread is also terrific. Prices are fair. Service very attentive. It is a very minimalist dining room, boardering on spartan, but who cares, you can't eat ambience. We will definitely be back. Want to try their margherita pizza. Also saw another diner's entree of pasta with pesto sauce. This place lived up to its stellar YELP score!!

Pastaza in Trophy Club keeps things simple, and that choice pays off…read more The menu sticks to Italian basics. Nothing feels padded or overworked. What lands on the table tastes careful and confident, like a kitchen that knows when to stop. Sauces feel balanced. Pasta comes out cooked right, not rushed and not tired. Portions make sense. The dining room is clean every time I visit. That sounds minor, but it sets the tone. You trust the food before the first bite. Even the cheese pizza makes the case for the place. It looks plain. Then you taste it. The crust has structure without going stiff. The cheese melts evenly and carries real flavor, not just salt. It is the kind of pizza you keep eating without thinking about it, then notice the plate is empty. Pastaza does not chase trends. It focuses on doing familiar food well. That guardrail is likely why it works.
