Service just must run slow in Alabama or they are short staffed. The food is always good and the orders are always right, just plan on waiting a good 10-15 minutes to get your food in the drive through. Their breakfast is surprisingly good. So, the wife and I went there yesterday. Ordered 2 meals. One Sweet and Spicy burger and one Double meat Whataburger plus fries and drinks. Simple, right? So, we get our order and parked in the parking lot. We started eating and when I looked inside mine there was only one patty. I paid for a two patty burger. So, had to go back to the drive thru and tell the window girl what happened. She said ok and to pull up. 10 minutes later I got my burger. It's a piece of meat a bun not even Secret sauce no lettuce, tomato some dill pickle.. the fries they were not hot, which is shocking because it was clearly a busy time. There were a line of cars. There was a line inside. The store with the fries were cold and I get nothing special but it would've been lovely how they actually been hot. The Physical plant was filthy the floor. This is one of the few 24/7 options available in Foley, AL so it often seems to get very crowded and ever more popular later into the night. This is just like every other Whataburger you have visited but if you've never visited one you need to ASAP! Generally Whataburger locations tend to be a bit better than the other fast food type joints with a drive through window not to mention they use my preferred condiment of mustard as the default condiment on many of their burgers which greatly endears them to me compared to the other joints that smear godforsaken ketchup and mayo all over their burgers by default. The food is okay when you get it how you asked. The service has gotten so bad and it takes roughly 1/2 hour to get 2 sandwiches. The manager on duty is also so rude and makes excuses for herself and her staff. When brought up she stated it was because she said to go to the second window (you can't understand her even after asking her to repeat) so we went to the window and waited. I was at this restaurant in 2017 and wrote a review that spoke about slow service and salty food. I was at this same place on a recent Wednesday at 1pm. The place was about half full. I am able to report the food was fairly good. Sadly, the service was terrible again. We ate inside and waited 25 minutes for our food, and then were given someone else's food! Placed mobile order 67198990 at 7:21pm. Arrived at 7:35pm. No one came to vehicle. Went inside restaurant. Saw my name on the order screen hi-lighted in red with the timer at almost 30 minutes marked as "Arrived" and "Parking spot #1" indicated. Saw the mobile order sitting on the counter. Saw restaurant associates look several times at the receipt taped to the bag and I could overhear them taking about how it's been close to 30 minutes. I overheard one of the restaurant associates Jaylen/Jaylin (sp?) say "I'm not taking that order outside, you see these people in line? They can come in here and get it." Hearing that was very unprofessional and quite frustrating. Whataburger  has to be the  best Breakfast I've had out of the many of their competitors. Their service is friendly fast and organized.  My breakfast platter was served hot compared to places like McDonalds. Reasonably priced & and tasted excellent. It's ashame there's not also a Gulf Shores location but the drive to Foley is well worth it. Especally at Lunch & Dinner time. I've been to Whataburgers during my travels through Texas. Foleys standards of service and food prep lived up to my expectations of what Whatburger stands for since the day it opened.  In my 39 years of dining experience Whataburger in my opinion has the best burgers out of all the fast food restaurants. I have ever eaten at. I will continue to eat here as long as their standards continue to be everything I've listed here. read more

The only place I go to eat every year after hangout. I live in tampa so we don't have Whataburger and even thought there isn't anything crazily special it hits the spot. It's fast food at the end of the day and something I can't normally have where I live. With COVID happening they did put in online ordering which was great cause in the app I placed my orders this year and then got to skip everyone once I told the speaker my name and go to the outside lane by the food window and they brought my food out to me.
