For a fast-food stop, this was a really solid choice. The food was nicely prepared, seasoned well, and everything came out just right. Ordering was pleasant from start to finish, and the drive-thru window attendant had a smile and a wonderful attitude, which always makes the stop even better. Since it's a chicken place, of course we had to go with the wings and try a few different sauces, and honestly, it was better than I expected. So don't be afraid to branch out and try some of the different sauce options. The Zax Pack is also a great choice if you're looking for something that will fill anyone up. And don't forget to grab a shake or a drink, especially if they have one of their specials running. Having stopped here several times, I can honestly say I tend to grab those often. Quick, simple, and straight to the point--definitely a good chicken stop when you want something fast. If you stop by, tell them "Phatt Panda aka 1/2 Time sent ya!" My wife went in there to get an order for our lunch and the lady who was at the front desk stood there the entire time to her back to her period she waited about five minutes and then gave up not knowing she was there the entire time. Extremely rude. Do not recommend. read more

always liked zaxby's before but they just stopped caring about what they serve you. I plan on talking to the manager at our local restaurant about my last experience. awful the way it was handled and served from the drive through. I ordered two orders of the nibblerz meals and one meal had 3 bottom buns only with sauce strewn all over the meal. I will not go back there again!!! Never had zaxbys before. It was pretty good. The tenders were tender. Lol. I enjoyed the sauces.

Traveling from out of state. Stopped in for dinner around 7:20pm. The cashier taking our order was easily distracted. She was paying more attention to what was going on every where else at the counter than her task of taking our order. I had to get her attention back to us to take our order. She asked for our name, we told her, she got distracted again and asked our name for the second time, 3 letter name and since she was not paying attention couldn't even spell that correctly. It's been some time since my last review and since then we've been through hurricane Sally and Covid so here we go. We got into Zaxby's big time when we lived in the Memphis area and when we retired here it was a nice surprise when we saw one at the end of our street, score. It's actually only one of the very few chains on our island and it's one of the few fast food joints that actually enjoy, so score again :-) I know not everyone has a Zaxby's in their area but it started as ZAX in Georgia in 1990 and now has nearly 950 locations in 17 states. With any luck they'll to continue to be successful and bring one near you, it's some pretty good stuff. Now about my location, it was quick to recover after Sally, but there was more issues with Covid. They were a little slow to get back on track, and to reopen indoor dining but they have maintained a good reliable presence and are better than ever these days. The drive thru moves quickly, the orders are accurate, the food is fresh and hot, and the people are friendly so I'm giving this Zaxby's a rare 4 star review for any chain fast food place. I could even be persuaded to go bigger but they have taken away the black & blue salad with the blue cheese crumbles and some of the salad dressings, blue cheese, Caesar, and the Mediterranean. Plus they got rid of their onion rings and put fried pickles in their place on permanent menu. They also got rid of the fried mushrooms, and the black & blue salad and shrooms were one of my fave fast food meals, I sure miss my friend mushrooms. However, they have a very good chicken sandwich, nice selection of wings, with a boneless option, with 8 different flavors from wimpy to nuclear. The newest salad is an Asian chicken salad, with two other choices and the loaded fries are pretty good too. Stopped by for lunch ordered chicken snackers. Little chicken slider sandwiches quite possibly the worst fast food I have ever had. Little sandwiches made with the most dried out chicken fingers must have sat for hours before serving to me buns same dried outside and inside seemed like they were microwaved bread was tough and chewy even the French fries were cooked brown but sat so long cold and soggy the fries themselves little stubs like the bottom of the bag horrible meal even the sauce on the sliders was sprayed all over the outside of the buns almost none in the middle on the chicken so they were no messy to try to eat I got this mess in the drive through and didn't have time to return unbelievable that a worker or manager could let this be served really have never seen something like this served. Had never been to a zaxbys. The chicken fingers and French fries were great. The Asian salad was not so good. The egg roll was overcooked, and I couldn't figure out what the issue was with the salad.....it was missing the dressing. It's fast food, totally get it but may try again read more

After driving through the traffic on 59 we finally made it into Gulf Shores. Once over the bridge we decided to stop in at Zaxby's to grab us something to eat before heading to the beach house. We decided to try the Bleu Zalad with blackened chicken and it was really good it came with garlic toast and we chose the blue cheese dressing. My husband felt like having some fries so he ordered a side of fries and they were seasoned fries and he really enjoyed them. By the time we got to the house to eat it it was still pretty cool in temperature and the blackened chicken was warm. Yes it is now one of our favorite salads and we will definitely stop by and order it again! The service through the drive through was very courteous. read more

So disappointed in Zaxby's in Robertsdale, Al. today. Walked in lobby at 3:00pm to have lunch... no one greeted us till about 2 minutes as there appeared to be things going on with employees behind counter. When we were finally acknowledged by cashier, we were told that it would be a delay in our food as there were 3 employees on break ( cook team, I assumed) ! I think Zaxby's need to look into changing policies on employees break times! To me , breaks should be taken after customers are taken care of! At least don't have all your cooks taking a break at the same dang time!! Entitled people!!! read more

Had the munchies and everything was pretty much closed late at night. Decided on Zaxby's an hour before closing. Wow the drive through was wrapped around the entire building. The food was solid. The menu is huge. Got the chicken strip box with fries and toast. When I ordered my food I asked them to add ketchup to my order. After I paid I reminded them to add ketchup. After I paid I was asked to wait in the empty parking lot next door. I said sure no problem, but please remember the ketchup. Of course when I get to my hotel room there is no ketchup. Visited this location on Monday, October 17, 2022. The entire experience was terrible. My husband ordered a grilled, chicken salad, and I ordered a Zax Snax. We waited 25 minutes for the food. Lots of customers arrived and received their food while we waited. I finally went to the counter and asked about our order and was advised they were waiting on chicken. They were not waiting on my chicken. The french fries and the chicken were cold. I was hungry, so I ate the cold chicken and threw the fries in the garbage. What a waste of money! read more

Good food. Clean. Nice people. Really checks all the marks for a fast food restaurant. This was my first time going to a Zaxbys and it didn't disappoint, I really liked how you could choose your sauce type and how hot it was. 4/5 for a fast food place, I will definitely visit again if I'm hungry and short on time. Zaxby's all about the chicken. Apparently, this is THE place to get chicken. Fried chicken. Chicken fingers. Chicken wings. Grilled chicken. Cluck! Being from the midwest, we don't have this delicacy, so when we head to the gulf, it is our guilty pleasure. They make everything cook to order, so you know that it is fresh. I loved the decor. Very sport oriented. Showed how much they are one with the community. The food. So they have this plate called: wings & things. I think the girl thought I was crazy when I asked what the things were. So you have the wings, which you can get bone in or boneless and your choice of sauces, ranging from "wimpy" to "insane." They also have flavors if you are a fan of those as well. The things: chicken fingerz. I asked the girl what part of the chicken the fingers come from and she just stared at me. The wings & things is a mega meal. We had planned on a family night out one night when the elevator in our condo broke down and my MIL couldn't do 6 flights of stairs. So we went on a cruise to find something good to eat that night. It was a bit of a drive to Zaxby's but my hubby has never had it and I really wanted him to. Why all the hate? It is a great place and honestly here it is better than half the restaurant that you have to go in and get slapped by a 40 minute wait time just to eat some crap food... I am very upset with the customer service here because I am unable to place separate orders. Once I went around the drive thru 3 times we were mocked by the worker saying is she put enough ketchup in the "second orders bag". I've eaten at Zaxbys in different parts of Florida and I've always considered them a step behind Chick-Fila. While visiting Gulf Shores we stopped in here and I was blown away! Fantastic service and food! I enjoyed it so much I decided to return one last time before leaving. The second visit wasn't as impressive as the first, but still very good. Horribly slow!!! Went after daughter's soccer game because she was starving and it was the closest chicken place. Waited over 20 minutes, and it was $12 for a kids meal, small drink, and small milkshake....much pricier than Foosackly's or chick fila. Staff was less than friendly...won't be back! read more

Great little place we tried on vacation! Prices were really good as well as the selection of chicken and sides. The portions were also very plentiful.
