While down in the Gulf Shores, we stopped by this place and were not disappointed! We got there for an early evening supper and we were glad we did because it filled up fast! We sat what was considered "outside" which at the time they had awnings down. So it was comfortable. Our server was awesome, super nice and very attentive. Never had to wait long. We never had to wait long for our food either. We had hush puppies for an appetizer, which were good. Husband had breaded shrimp. Which were nicely light and breaded. I had the Steamed Island Combo with crab legs, and deep-water reds which I have never had before until then and they were delicious! And HUGE! You cannot quite tell by my picture, but there were a ton of them under all of that. Highly recommend recommended it. I would definitely go back there! read more

We ordered one appetizer and three entrees. Cheese sticks were good but small. My coconut shrimp was huge! The breading was not my favorite. It's more coconut than it needs. My husband got the fried flounder. It came out all chopped up into a million pieces. He got new full pieces but said it had no flavor. My daughter ordered the pecan crusted white fish. Overall a great experience! Food was good , the lemonade was amazing, but there were some small downsides. First of all, the wait was super long whenever we went, but nothing very crazy. (50 minutes, on a Monday 6pm). The shrimp was also very good, but it was cold. Everything else was warm. Lemonade was very good. I ordered the shrimp. This was fantastic and the only reason for the 4 in the amount of salt. I think tone that down a little and they are a 10! Spicy tuna was my 2nd favorite this week. Crab claws were so garlicky, I will smell like it for at least 24 hours. They are a ton of work but worth it. Trigger fish was amazing but still a little too salty. We came here 2 nights in a row. Usually I wouldn't do that, but the place was close to where we were staying and had great fresh fish. The first night I got a salad with fresh catch and the second night I had the grouper dinner with fries. I also got the crab claw appetizer and the jalepeño stuffed shrimp appetizer. The crab claws were fantastic scampi style. The fish was fantastic. The frozen cocktails could've been better, but they were strong. We arrived about 8pm on a Tuesday night. While the place seemed fairly crowded we were pleasantly surprised to only have to wait about five minutes to be seated. It did seem that those waiting to sit outside were in for a longer wait. The inside was chilly which was refreshing after being in the heat. Our server was welcoming and on top of it even though she was obviously busy. We ordered the Island Combo with a side of grilled scallops as well as the alligator bites. The alligator bites were delicious and fresh. They were served with a sweet Asian chili sauce on the side, which was super yummy, but sort of overpowered the alligator. The Island Combo was a bit disappointing to us. We are huge seafood lovers and one of the main things we were looking forward to while visiting the gulf is fresh seafood. However, neither of us liked the shrimp. It looked well seasoned when delivered, but once you shelled it there was no flavor. The crab legs were delicious, but how can you really mess up crab! The grilled scallops were a nice addition and we were glad to have them, however for a single skewer of them it was $14.48... Our total for this trip came to $84 for one iced tea, one alligator appetizer, one Island Combo meal, and one add-on of grilled scallops. read more

This would be a 5 star review because the food was good and service was quick! BUT... we went in with a party of 12. So understandably the gratuity is usually added automatically. The server never told us this was the case so everyone also tipped her generously. I tipped 50% on our bill making the night out outrageously expensive. When I tried to correct the issue the manager was not "available". The customer service was terrible. I found the entire experience very deciving. Be aware of the bill and check everything before paying! They are not forth coming and will not fix anything after the fact! read more

Bobs is a bit used and worn, but what at the beach isnt. All the food was cooked well and very tasty. The Burger was delicious and cooked well, thr only negative was the lettuce was a biy wilty, but it is hot food. Onion rings and fries were plentiful and crispy, the fried mushrooms were delicious, we are used to horseradish dip, but the ranch was ok. Our waitress Marlene was freindly and very effecient. I have been to Bahama Bob's twice. The first time was in 2023, and was a great experience. The food, drinks, and service were superb. So, I was super excited to go back. Unfortunately, we just ate there tonight (6/16/26), and our experience was pretty horrendous. We were a large group (12), and were prepared to wait. We even asked them to split our tables so we could be easier to seat. We were told an hour wait, but waited around 1 hour 45 minutes, all the while watching people with similar sized groups be sat before us. We asked and kept being told we were next in line. When we finally were being seated, the professionalism shown was extremely subpar. No one communicated to us that our tables were ready, and we were expected to seat ourselves instead of being shown to our tables. Right before we were seated, a storm started one of the metal bars from the plastic tarps that surrounded the restaurant blew off and hit my sister in the head. Then, she was sat under a dripping roof for our entire dinner, and we were not offered any sort of compensation for that. That's not only unsanitary, it's terrible to be dripped on for an entire meal. We arrived at the restaurant at 5:30 pm, and didn't leave until 9pm. This is not only because of the wait time, but also because our food took an eternity. For comparison, a table of 9 was seated at the same time as us and were leaving the restaurant before we even got our food. When we did get our food, much of it was cold, unseasoned, and/or inedible. My sister got crab legs. There were several with no meat in them and they were cold. Another sister got red snapper, and it was dry and so tough she couldn't even cut it. My mom got stuffed whitefish and it tasted fishy. Fresh fish should never taste fishy!!! Our server did the best she could, and was very nice, but forgot many items ordered. The manager came to our table and all we got was excuses. After everything we had dealt with, we were extremely frustrated at being treated like a herd of cattle rather than paying restaurant guests, particularly ones with a total bill of around $700. That's absurd. These are all issues we as a group feel that you will address with your employees and give other patrons a much better experience like the one I had the first time I ate at your restaurant. read more

I've reviewed this place in the past and it is still really good. Didn't get to try the shrimp (I'm allergic to shellfish) but it got great ratings and looked great. I really want to highlight the bartender. We ate at the bar and it was awesome. The bartender (I think her name is Faith) put on a masterclass in service. I have never seen someone keep up the pace like she did while also being incredibly attentive and friendly to all of the people that came in to get drinks. Excellent! I'm bummed we hadn't found this place sooner. We love coming to Gulf Shores (from Louisiana) and so this time we stayed on the west and right next to our condo was this amazing restaurant! Service is amazing. By far the friendliest staff we have encountered in the area and we come here at least once a year for the past 10 years. Food was amazing!! Everything we tried the last two days was chef's kiss! My husband is picky about his seafood and he was very impressed. Also, the kitchen is on it with how fast food is prepared. To start off the lady at the check in stand was rude and acted like she could care less if she was there or not, I personally got the steamed crab and it had no seasoning, neither did the potatoes when the menu says "steamed in our special spices" tasted like bland crab and regular potatoes. The rest of my group wasn't all to impressed either. Decent place they do only have 8 tables inside so be prepared to wait if you are wanting to escape the heat. Also pretty sure I saw one of the food runners use the restroom and not wash their hands. The place was pretty standard nothing special. read more

This is my favorite po-boy restaurant! Every time I visit Gulf Shores I make sure to stop by here because they always deliver amazing food and service. They never skimp on packing their po-boys full of seafood to the point where some is falling of the bread (which I'm definitely not complaining about). The batter on the crawfish was perfectly crispy and had a hint of spice. We also ordered the crab claws which were absolutely delicious, and by far the best deal on them in the area. Our server occasionally checked in on us, and we were never left without something we needed. I'll be back next time I'm in town! It's a shame they built the condos in front of what was once a beach front restaurant, but the great vibes are still there! read more

Well, we waited 1 hour and 40 min for a party of 6. But, I guess for the middle of summer that is to be expected. I had the shrimp and scallop skewer. No doubt to me that the seafood was frozen, overcooked and didn't have a hint of freshness. I don't know what you have to do these days to get fresh seafood on a plate, but I didn't find it here. It tasted like any chain restaurant anywhere. The best part of my meal was the ranch dressing on my salad, It was delicious. Please don't waste your money on this very expensive restaurant. Our party of 8 arrived at 5:15 on a Tuesday evening. Our waitress, Jodi, was super nice and kind. We all ordered drinks, and a kids popcorn shrimp. Waited a few minutes and ordered all our entrees and an order of alligator bites. Kids meal and alligator bites came. Were tasty. All the tables around us got their food. Ours never came. Jodi said it was lost in the system. She had to put it in twice. By 6:15 we still had no food. We requested to see the general manager twice. He never came. Jodi said they had no idea when our food would come. So we asked to leave. GM yelled from the kitchen to just comp our food. We felt really bad for Jodi. She lost money and time on this. Management needs to do better. Shame on the GM for never seeing us. We will not go back. Also it's $4 to park in their lot. Go across the street to the public parking where it's free. read more

I absolutely loved Bahama Bobs!!! The locals recommended , so I knew it was worth checking out. There's a small compact parking lot. I utilized it during my afternoon lunch visit. I was promptly greeted by the outside hostess. It wasn't crowded in the restaurant. I sat at the bar and the bartender was really sweet. She was prompt in taking my drink order & food order. I ordered a strawberry colada. It was refreshing. That's all I will say about it. I later ordered a fairhope ipa (I forger the name but I took a pic of it). The beer went great with my meal. I ordered the royal reds with green beans + new potatoes. OMG!!! My mind was blown by how well seasoned and tasty this meal was! It' was a lot of food and i thoroughly enjoyed my leftovers later that evening. The vibes is casual with a patio and it's near the beach. Can't hate on that. I will close by saying their seafood gumbo was certainly worth driving 4 hours for! This was some of the yummiest / freshest gumbo , seafood I've ever experienced!
