Sat in the drive through for over 40 minutes. They apparently "lost" my order in the system, the girl had to take it on her phone, and she said it would be out in 5. 20 minutes later and I'm still sitting at the end of the drive through. Definitely not "fast" food. The other line didn't look any better although a few cars got through that one before I left. I came when this location first opened and it was the same. Gave it some time to work it out but seems like it didn't matter. Tragic we were excited for a whataburger after moving from Tx and it's the worst location ever. read more

This is the classic case of, "If I could leave zero stars, I would," unfortunately. I don't believe this chain to be the issue - but it is definitely this restaurant in particular. The manner in which the staff greets you, which borders on not being a greeting at all, is shocking. I've been to this location three separate times, and just last night (08/30), the manager on duty's tone was awful. I understand that with fast food, it can be overwhelming to the crew, but I simply asked for a 3 piece chicken finger order for my kid, and he avoided making any kind of eye contact and nearly tossed the drink/cut at me. The receipt said that the order was taken at 10:22 PM, and by 10:50, nothing had come to the table. Three other tables had gotten up in that interim to ask about their order, and the staff was all present in the back, some were standing around, etc. When the food was finally given to me, it was by a kid who yawned openly while he shuffled along. The food was cold, the fries were hard, and the bread wasn't even toasted. When I asked that same kid for ketchup, he clicked his tongue in annoyance, shuffled back, produced two packets (one of which had a hole punched into its top and was sticky), and dropped them into my hands. Frankly, save any money you'd spend at this place. It's a novelty we have here in Atlanta, and there are far better places you could go for well over mediocre fare. read more

Out of the dozen or so times I have placed a mobile order for pickup, it never fails that I have to wait at least 10 minutes after the schedule pickup time to get my order. I've had to wait as long as 17 minutes after my pickup time for my order to be ready. The food is great, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. read more

Really hard to choose a rating for this review. I am going to start with the positive: ***STAFF*** I hope they are getting paid double because they are PHENOMENAL. I hesitated to give 5 stars for them alone because they deserve 5+! They are SO friendly, honestly better than Chick-fil-a and we know they set the bar high for customer service. The young lady that was on the speaker was so nice. She apologized for the wait and had such a professional mannerism. She didn't sound stressed or overwhelmed, but didn't sound like she didn't care. Honestly her mannerism was the best thing she could do in that situation. Somehow she managed to get people through an hour long wait and not leave angry. She apologized and thanked us for waiting in a polite way, but not in a frantic, overwhelmed way that would've made guests feel like the business was not good. Just in a way that it was good, and crowded, and therefore there was a wait. But she took her time on the speaker to make sure the order was correct, and was efficient at the same time. Just overall probably the best fast food staff I have ever seen! ***FOOD*** I don't eat a ton of fast food. I mainly stick to a vegetarian diet, but occasionally eat chicken. I was hungry and didn't feel like going to the store and cooking (looking back that would've been faster though ironically haha) and someone told me how they just had tried Whataburger and how they loved it. I had never tried it, so I decided to give them a try. I know they're new to GA so why not. The food was fine. For me it was like all fast food - It's good for every now and then but I wouldn't eat it every day. I'd still say 5 stars though because for fast food, it was hot and a good portion for the price. I honestly would've left, but you're trapped in the line. Honestly kind of a problem, if you have absolutely anything to do at all that day. A long line is one thing, we expect to wait maybe 15-20 minutes. I have never waited longer than that in a drive-thru. Even Cookout at 3 am in Atlanta is faster. As great as the staff was and the food was good for the price, probably better if you like burgers as that is their specialty, the wait is just on another level. Like I have to leave one star for that... I am not picky and didn't complain at all and patiently waited, but I have hardly ever waited an hour for food even at a sit-down fine dining restaurant, so there is really no reason to wait an hour for fast food. I would hesitate to even get trapped in that line again. Hopefully they can figure out a bit better of a system like CFA does, because that is really the only complaint. Visited the Buford location about 4 weeks after it opened. Chose to go there that day because at 10:20 am on a weekday, there were only 4 cars in line. Couldn't go there before because the line was always obscene. Ordered the standard WB sandwich only. Got through the process in the drive-thru in about 15 minutes. Was it worth the wait? Not really. I have liked Culvers and 5 Guy's burgers better, w/o the line waiting drama. Those were comparisons of burger joints within 1/2 mile of WB. I'd also take a Hardy's burger over WB any day as well. All comparatively priced, all without the line drama. Want a great sandwich w/o the line? I-985 exit #16, Cuban Cafe. The Cuban sandwich comes cut in half. Each half is more sandwich than WB. There have been long lines since it opened. Yesterday, I drove past and saw only a few cars in line. We decided to try it. After sitting in the slowest drive through line I've ever been in, (5 cars in front of me, and took nearly 45 min) we finally ordered. I ordered a double cheeseburger with onion rings and a chocolate shake. She ordered a jalapeño burger with fries and a coke. With such a broken drive through process, I really wanted to hate their food. I just couldn't. The burger was really good, and so were the onion rings and shake. My wife liked hers as much. If you have the patience, it's a great burger. We'll likely go back after they work out the kinks. read more

We had a horrible experience with this Whataburger location. Please be aware that if you use curbside service and it is dark out, they are unable to bring your food out to your car. This in itself is not the problem. The problem is they don't notify you of this information in any way. We sat and waited for 20 mins before going inside (assuming that they were still working on our food). Then we were given this information - why couldn't they text us back after we used their check-in system to come inside?! So our food had been sitting for some 20 mins. They were kind enough to replace our fries but the burgers were will weak. And once we made it home, we realized that they also shorted us an apple pie. read more
