Cell phones should be off limits as a cashier. Texting while handing the customer the receipt is a big no to customer service!

Slow!!! It's fast food not rocket science!! Every transaction they are supposed to give you a receipt, especially those of us using credit cards. Some of us have to turn them in. The moron on drive thru is too lazy or too stupid to do so, and can't figure out how to get one out of machine. What's worse, one of the mgrs couldn't either. This one idiot had drive thru screwed , not just me but others had incorrect orders because the room temp IQ couldn't cope. Food is mediocre at best, but staff really drags it down. read more

The food is fresh and good but even better than that is the friendly service from the entire team. There is a real sense of pride from the entire team. Case in point: today my table was wobbly. The General Manager noticed. I told him that it didn't bother me and he said but it bothered him. He adjusted the table immediately. read more

Long line so went inside to wait for my food thank God that I did. They were literally slapping on lettuce and tomatoes with their bare hands and when I asked the manager about it he said that "gloves aren't required in this county" THAT IS DISGUSTING. Since I've been living in Texas,I've been here twice. The first time I ate here I ordered a avocado sandwich well the avocado tasted like it was 3 weeks old and it made the sandwich all soggy. The second time I ordered a jalapeño sandwich and it had two tiny jalapeños in it, nothing about it was spicy. I also got all there sauces and they were super nasty and the spicy ketchup tasted the same as store bought ketchup. My lil brother ordered a bacon and cheese sandwich there was three tiny skinny peaces of bacon And all of our food was cold There food cost too much for crappy food I will never go back and eat here again read more

This is literally the slowest fast food restaurant I've ever been to. There were only 3 cars in the parking lot, and I went through the drive thru with only one person in front of me. It took way too long and several of the workers just goofed off with each other in front of the drive thru window. I know it's a fast food place but come on y'all read more

My rave goes to a particular young cashier at the (Bastrop) drive thru window that I had the absolutely pleasure of meeting. Her name is Katarina J. She helped me out in a tough situation and I was so grateful. With all the ugliness in the world, she has renewed my hope in humanity. She didn't have to do what she did. Bad reviews for whataburger, seriously? They are faster at this location then several others I go to and its whataburger! If you dont like them, dont eat there. Its always good and always the same. read more

Mgr, (Amy) is a real piece of work. Too good to talk to customers. Employees freak out during a rush and not one manager stepped up to help. And whete are the black employees? I KNOW Bastrop has black people. All around, it suckef. Must have been 12-15 employees in the place, only one on the register. No wonder the line was do long. read more

We are visiting Bastrop and wanted a quick, hot and fresh meal . We came to the right place !!! The food was hot and yummy ! The store was clean and the workers were very friendly. Poor drive thru attitude along with not providing a straw for my daughter's drink. I attempted to do a Whataburger survey but I did not receive a regular receipt with proper coding. I Love Whataburger their food is almost always spot on for fast food. The problem comes when you don't get a friendly attitude in the drive thru as well as not getting everything for your order. If you eat here check your order to make sure all is there. I know this is something that needs to be done at all fast food and that is pretty sad. read more

The reviews looked just okay for this location but I was really craving Whataburger and didn't know when I would see another location. When I walked in I was immediately greeted by the man behind the counter and placed my order. My food came out fairly fast and was hot. While I ate a worker went around the dining room cleaning. The entire place looked like it was well managed and clean. My burger was made as I had ordered it and delicious. All in all it was a great experience so I'm not sure why the reviews for this place are low. Maybe it's a hit or miss place? I'll come back. read more

In a word, discussing. I ordered inside and eat inside. Service was good, employees were friendly and helpful. My burger wasn't hot, room temperature at best, the cheese was even melted. Since the burger was cooked all the way through, but the cheese hadn't melted tells me this isn't fresh food, more like cooked, stored, assembled to order, then microwaved. Sound familiar? read more

I love this place but I don't understand why recently they seem to always have two rows of lines now in the drive thru. Also, today I'm waiting in the second row away from the window. The employee comes up to me and says " I don't know how much your order is but I will bring your change back" UMM NO, you won't. Not to great on my last visit. Picked up lunch for all my workers, one thing we look forward to is cold drinks since we work outdoors. Well this time we were handed hot canned sodas for drinks instead of the iced down fountain drinks we paid for. And nobody mentioned to us anything about the fountain machines being broke or anything while we were ordering. Also a few of the burgers we ordered were made wrong, and all the fries were stale. read more

Ok, it's late at night, I need some food for the journey. So, where do I go for a burger. Yeah, Whataburger here in Bastrop is a winner. 12am I ordered a Whataburger and Coffee. No combo meal just the burger and coffee. The burger was huge like big-huge, and very tasty. Now salt is usually the culprit behind the flavor but no salt here. I am a pepper guy, I love pepper and this just hit the spot, the coffee was good also. So, staff was friendly and wait time is a little long, but they make it when you order it and I can really taste the beef. If you are in a hurry, better go else where or wanting to go inside late at night, don't stop here. Only the drive-thur is open in the wee hours. I would suppose that most places at like this as well. read more

,I don't really like whataburger but I was desperate and was on a timed lunch. Dude in front of me was ridiculously hungover, couldn't figure it out for the life of him. Cashier was polite. However, it's beyond me why one person was ringing, there was a line (I work food service btw) and there were NINE employees there, including her. There was even a manager wandering around! TEN MINUTES for a chicken melt meal, which was totally over cooked and barely chewable. Thank God I don't live in Bastrop....I barely made it back to work on time which is pathetic considering I could see it from the parking lot. And $7.35 with tax is WAAAAAAY too much to pay for fast food, especially at a chain. read more

Excellent Service. Fast and really considerate. Breakfast was good not the best but up there, better than most fast foods.

Always check your stuff at the window. So far there has not been a time when the full order was bagged or correct.

Jonathon was super kind and it was a pleasure to have him serve us. The food took awhile so he gave us 2 free apple pies. Great service.

When I'm desperate I'll swing through here for breakfast...what's so hard about getting your order right? Really infuriates me when I've driven away, open my breakfast sandwich down the road and discover sausage instead of the bacon I requested. So. I love Whataburger but this one has had many many indiscretions with my family and friends. Everyone I know has had at least some type of issue here, including myself. This, however is the final straw. We (three adults) ordered through the driveway then drove 20 mins back home, once there, my fiance opened his burger and immediately caught a hair, so he opened it up and began pulling the hair out and it was literally over a foot long (we measured), blond. Disgusting. Aside from that they have messed up mine or someone in my party's order EVERY SINGLE TIME I've eaten here and I have lived in the area for 25 years. read more
