This consignment store sits amongst several other businesses in a large strip center. It caters exclusively in women's clothing and accessories only, sorry nothing for the men here. Everything here sits within a 1200 square-foot space with two dressing rooms. Pretty much everything in here looks virtually new and the prices here reflect that. There's lots of designer bags, clothes, shoes, and turquoise jewelry here. Lots of nice clothes, but not much in the way of bras, socks or bathing suits. No public bathroom here either. read more

I found this store on Yelp after I couldn't find anything at the mall. I am 42 and trying to transition from constant yoga pants to dressing like an adult. Some of the clothes were a bit too "old" for me, but they had some really great items. I found a beautiful shawl/sweater and a really unique purse! Total was just about $50 after tax. The store is nice - but the 5 stars are really because of the staff. They seemed to be familiar with many of the customers. When I cashed out the girl asked if I had been there before (no). She was so friendly - took my info and put me in the rewards program and told me about their online store (she said about 80% of what's in the store is online - spend $75 or more and get free shipping!) They offer "points" dollar for dollar when you shop - and when you hit 250 points you get $25 off your purchase! I will definitely come back when I am in town next. The items weren't really my style -- a lot of polyester, mid-range brands (at least in the smaller sizes, anyway). And a lot of costume jewelry. I did sell a few things, but couldn't find anything interesting, so I ended up cashing out my store credit for cash. The clientele seems to be on the older side and everyone I saw come in the store seemed to know each other. I had some clothing that I no longer wear, and instead of donating it, I thought I would see what I get for it. This place was very picky and rejected some really nice expensive items, some band new still with tags. Of the 25+ items, they selected only 3 and I went out the door with $15. I guess I should look at it that I was $15 richer. Savers made out and I now have a tax write off instead. read more

Such a cute store for kids! They had a great sale and I got some jeans for my grand daughter and my niece. Very clean, and spacious which makes shopping more enjoyable. Friendly, courteous staff. The all female staff made me feel very unwelcome. Quite unfriendly, judgemental, better than you vibes were strong with them. I was shopping for my wife, i had a bunch of selections in my hand, and they tried to take them from me like i was going to steal them or something. I may not look like their typical customer, but i think better treatment of potential customers and the benefit of a doubt should be instilled into the staff there. They even locked me inside temporarily, making me feel even more like a loser. Maybe ill go back and steal a bunch of shit, since thats how they view me anyway. Give them what they expect. Or fuck it, and them, ill spend my money somewhere that treats people proper. Pitiful i tell you. read more

Seller review! I say let the people decide if this was fair or not, and is my true experience from today. I let go of a Loft wool skirt (short skirt, excellent condition, probably 2 seasons old). Buyer offered $3 cash or $5.50 in store credit. With the in store credit, there's no profit, just credit so I'd actually have to buy something from them. But I took the in store credit without having given them a counter offer and got a J Crew blouse. With the credit still paid around $13 or something, I think. Those out there who are well versed in selling! Would you have made a counter offer? Refused and sold on Poshmark, or taken the deal as is? Life is but a wheel of fortune and I am but a fledgling when it comes to selling clothes.... read more

I enjoy selling as well as shopping here. They are very upfront about brands they do/don't accept. They are very particular about what they take, however they are consistent. I've been to other resale 2nd hand shops in town and you never know what kind of mood they're in or which employee will take what. Very frustrating. But not here. The employees at the San Mateo location are always very friendly and attentive! I've found several great purses, shoes, and dresses here for a fraction of the cost. I appreciate that I can bring in jewelry and up to 5 items with no appointment. I was told last time if I don't have my clothing on hangers they can't look at them (which I found strange) but I'm glad they still bought what I took and gave me the heads up for the next time I sell. I really love this store. We are moving to ABQ from San Diego county and I just have to say that boutiques like this near me charge so much more. I found their prices to be higher than say Savers or Thrift Town (as expected) but their selection is great. If you are concerned about prices I suggest checking prices online while you are there (many apps to do this) - you will find prices are very good plus you get to touch, feel, and try on the item. Nice high-end purses, though they have high-end "used" pricing. Clothing is pretty consistently conservative and mature in style; higher end "used" pricing. Clean, well-curated, helpful staff. Not really a vintage/antique store at all, more current-day consignment selection. I have no experience dropping off stuff for them to sell there, though they have the guidelines and procedure posted on a board by the entrance for you to read if you're interested in consigning with them. read more

My friend and I shop Thrift Stores weekly but What Goes Around was a new and pleasant experience. Listed as a boutique, it is. Clean, neat, with polite and attentive sales people . Features a dressing room and mirrors which many resale shops do not provide. Most of the clothes were upscale, as well, even though gently worn and some were brand new. Wow, I've only stopped in a few times but GOOD GOD the sales people are bitchy AF. That's the main reason I'll never go back. Second reason: the items they sell are for older women. I'm late 30's and the clothes are for much older women than me. Which is interesting the last time I was in there, they were saying how they only take 'in-style' clothes. I guess if your 60+... Third reason I won't go back: their version of 'upscale' is what I call SW 'upscale' which isn't upscale at all. It's Chico's and J.Crew. If you're hunting for Marc Jacobs, Isabel Marant, or runway designers, you won't find it here. I suggest online shopping instead. This is a nice consignment store. The employees are a bit snotty, which is why I gave it 3 stars. I never expect all of my items to be accepted, as they can always find something they don't accept. After I consigned an item, they emailed me that it was unacceptable. It was a brand new dress and when I asked what was wrong with it, the associate pointed out a piece of lint. Needless to say, I'm very turned off by this and am hesitant to consign here again. They do have nice purses, but no better deals than you can get at a Dillard's sale. Overall, nice store but I think an attitude adjustment is in order. read more

If you know of anyplace else - go there. Craigslist it. Donate it. Something. I've driven my Grandmother here a number of times over the years. I try to get her to go elsewhere, but the location is next to a great tailor and she likes so many other shops w/ a mile or two of here. Plus my Grandmother can't hear well, so I get to do the face to face. Selection isn't great but then the place is tiny. Consistently rude service is the policy. I seriously get the feeling that if I were not keeping close track of the paperwork, they would be trying to pull some crap over on my Grandma. I honestly believe this business would screw your Grandma too. It's just a feeling, mind you, but that's from years of doing business here. Facts? It's a small shop, They can be hard to reach via phone. You get a tiny fraction of what you may sell on consignment. They make a ton, you get a scrap. This is my favorite consignment store. Last month I went in with a friend and, during a winter sale, bought a new pair of Soft Spot clogs, a spring jacket, and a beautiful blue tunic for $38. The women that run the shop, Catherine and Wendy, are friendly and helpful, always asking if they can help find anything for me, giving honest feedback when I ask for an opinion about how something looks on me,and, I love getting money back for the clothes that I consign. My favorite find are my Clarks Muckers that I bought almost new for $25 a couple of years ago. They are waterproof and I always wear them on wet days to walk the dog, or just around town. I do have to look to find my style of clothes, but it is a well organized, clean, and the clothes are of high quality. read more

I get it's a consignment shop so you'll only get a fraction of what they make off the clothes you're selling. However, when I've brought items in (pretty trendy and stylish) they tell me that they're out of style. So I'm expecting then to peruse the racks and find incredibly stylish clothes. But no. I agree with Eric N. They insist on quality clothes and jewelry and sell them for a fraction of what they are worth. They get 60% and the consigner gets 40%. I checked my account page and was surprised to find that after 7 items had been sold, my balance was a mere $45.00. Your account page does not show what each item is selling for. (You have to call them for that information!) I took a 14k gold chain in and they said it was "sold" for $20,00 the same day, just hours later. A Calvin Klein skirt that still had the $76.00 price tag on it, sold for $18.00, for which I received about $6.00. I regularly shopped at the Coors location and found some great bargains. Now that I know how they operate, I will shop elsewhere. I would advise anyone to do the same. read more

Before even starting the process the store has made a card with basic information on how to begin, what brands they "do not" take, and their seasonal time frame consignment schedule. Step 2 is bringing the pieces in to be viewed, and you have two options if you are just looking to do a quick consign you can bring in up to 5 pieces on the spot, but if you're like me and a shopaholic then you just make an appointment to bring your mini wardrobe in to be dissected and selected for departure! Jillian was able to get me in as early as tomorrow afternoon, flexible scheduling! Third step is the break down of how your pieces are consigned, 1/3 of the sale price is how the items will be priced, seller gets 40% and you may consign the items up to 90 days with proper price reductions of course. If the items don't sell you can choose to pick them up or donate them to their charitable cause. Easy as 1, 2, 3! What goes around has a wide range of high end women's apparel in all sizes, styles, and colors. They have shoes, purses, and some fine jewelry...just ask to see that perfect piece! My first time consigning with this store and was very impressed. Having recently retired and transitioning from corporate apparel to casual, I found this a great place to begin. Store was neatly organized, clean and easy to navigate around. Little disappointed with the pricing, since almost all my attire is from Chicos and looks brand new. Nonetheless, it's better than garage sale prices and putting up with nasty buyers who only offer a dollar or two. read more

I've shopped there, never taken things in to consign but have enjoyed all my purchases. Great prices on jewelry with nice selections. The photo does not depict their present shop as they have enlarged and are more visible shifting next door to their previous location. It's next to Body & Brain Yoga where I attend faithfully to benefit my health and sanity. Makes it so handy to shop next door. Sprouts and Petco are in the same shopping center. Well organized. Good selection. Everyday prices are pretty good, and the sales are even better! Easy to consign, and you can apply your consignment proceeds to buying items in the store.
