Macy's is my go-to store when I'm looking for something stylish and good quality inside the mall. My most recent visit was to find a watch for my father, who has dementia and whose watch had recently broken. He's always been into gold watches and shiny items. I will say that Macy's needs to hire more cashiers--the wait for customer service was about 15 minutes, as there weren't enough clerks available to help. On the positive side, they do size watches on-site and offer warranties that are worth purchasing. You also earn rewards for shopping at Macy's, and they always seem to have deals going on, which makes it worth stopping by. You definitely get your money worth! read more

I couldn't get out of this store fast enough. The music was loud. The store was very cold; the heat wasn't on. The lights were extremely bright and the escalator would do this loud piercing screech. Staff was rude. I asked where the restrooms are, the employee responded, "upstairs". I had to look around to figure out how to get upstairs. Then once I was upstairs, I had to ask another person where they were. Such terrible service for an "upscale" store. This was my first and last time in the store. I don't shop at Macy's very often, but have found some very nice shoes and clothing items. I prefer to shop in the store, rather than online. I ordered a cardigan on line and it was not wearable. Went a couple days before Christmas so of course it was chaotic. Had pretty good service at the Sunglasses hut in the store. Spent a good deal of time-at least 2 hours- in the rest of the store and only got help/acknowledgement at the register. Dressing rooms were a bit beat up. read more

A few years back Macy's had a nice plus-size shop. They moved it and reduced the amount and quality of the clothing. Now the have moved it again. It is so small and the quality is crap. I've always liked shopping at Macy's, and this one in here in my new hometown is a wonderful example of the good things that the Macy's chain does. The styles and selection are very good. Whether I'm looking for clothes or kitchen accessories, I always find what I'm looking for, and sometimes find even more items that will work for me. More often than not, the selection is good, and sometimes it's excellent. Yes, the prices are a little higher here than at many discount stores, but it's nice to have a place you can go when you want high quality merchandise - I don't mind paying a little more for that quality. The prices aren't always high - sometimes I run across a sale, and when that happens there are often some excellent buys available. Note to management - as much as I'm a fan of Macy's overall, there's room for improvement in this location. I think this store would benefit from some attention focused on organization and cleanliness. read more

This spot offers most of the typical items you'd expect at Macy's. Even though it's smaller, it still offers some good variety in fashion items. When items are on sale here, you can score some really great deals. I found a Calvin Klein slim fit, long sleeve, button-down shirt for $6! Crazy! They have a good selection for work place clothing as well as shoes. The casual clothing is plentiful and there's something for everyone as far as style goes, from very basic to trendy. During covid 2020 I placed several oneline orders.. I received everything I ordered but there were four items that didn't workout for me so I wasnt able to return in the store because at that time everything was shut down. So I waited a few months and went into the store spoke to an associate and I was told to call customer serv to request return labels.. So I called and requested labels .. Customer associate told me that 3 of 4 items were not qualified for a refund because it had been to long to return, those 3 items but she in could try so I sent the other items to c if they will refund all 4 items.. So I did .. I get did get a refund for one item but not the others.. So I called i c.s again and asked what happened? They told me they couldn't refund those items so, I ask where were my items? and they said they didn't know .. And they told me the tracking no. Was invalid..So im out the items and the money. P.S their c.s associates r very unhelpful.. They put me on a hold and never returned or they say their going to talk to their supervisor or transfer me and they hang up. Bad business.. I thought this was an American company not a company that's in a foreign country cuz thats who's answer the phone. read more

Caution again! I ordered a lamp from Macy's on August 1, 2019. To date, I have no idea where it is or when I might receive it. When I called customer service they blame the furniture department. This was the 3rd lamp of the same type I bought type. They just can't seem to answer the question 'where is my lamp?' Of course they have already charged me for it so I assume I will no doubt have issues cancelling the order and crediting my account. I am so disappointed with Macy's and the lack of customer care that I am paying off my credit card and telling all my friends!!! read more

I do NOT understand the Macy's business model. It appears to be: 1.) Have 20% off sales all the time so people know only to shop during the sale. 2.) Do not have enough workers and do not put them on commission so even if you want to buy something, you can't find someone to actually take your money. I've actually left Macy's in the past in frustration after trying to find a cashier. This Macy's is a bit better run than your average. The workers are alert, organized and actually come over to help you. Two ladies, yes TWO!, came over to help and suggest some things for my trip for which I was shopping. I love love love Macy's. I am a crossdresser, and the Albuquerque salestaff is staggeringly friendly, courteous, and sweet. I am always able to find beautiful dresses wildly discounted. I usually show up wearing my guy clothes, and I have never been hassled, questioned, or goofed on for trying on dresses. The salesladies are wonderful. So we went to Macy's looking for beds. It was almost impossible to get one of the two clerks to wait on us on 1/8/2017 about 10:30 in the morning. They wouldn't make eye contact, saw us walking towards them obviously needing help and walked the other way. Never said good morning, just felt that they didn't want to be bothered on this Monday Morning that was particularly quiet. I wouldn't bother going back. I also wanted a few other things as moving to the area and didn't want to bother dealing with this type of situation. I usually enjoy Macy's and have been shopping here for years, however my last experience a week ago totally turned me off. Shopping with my grandmother she was pulling out her coupons while paying and the cashier has the worst attitude I have ever seen at a clothing store. HANNAH, had a rude look on her face the whole time and was very rude growling at my grandmother about how her coupons don't work and just totally unfriendly in general. This review is based on our wedding registry, in-store and on-line. Also on the service we received. We registered at Macy's since it would serve both our out-of-town guests and local guests. The initial registration was simple, at least I think so since my wife (then fiancee) did it all. We were able to see SOME of our items at the store, but most had to be viewed on-line. This store simply doesn't carry that much inventory. Throughout the 9 months before the wedding, items on the registry would become unavailable at times. Keep a close eye on it so you may add replacement items. Most all our guests chose to have the gifts sent to our house, very convenient! The boxes were expertly wrapped and I don't believe a single item was broken. Advice: Sign up for Macy's Star Rewards BEFORE the registry goes active, you must have a Macy's card to do this. Then you will get credit for all that is purchased on your behalf. Post wedding, we went in to complete our registry. Dominic Trujillo was brilliant! He was super helpful. Applied all the discounts that we were eligible for (pretty good one on items left over) and he was able to find what we needed either in store or on-line. Within weeks everything was complete. Observations: 1. They do need to have their employees (not sure if enough of them) actively offering to help. 2. When you do get help, I've found them to be very polite and helpful. 3. The store is kind of dead, must do a lot of business on-line. Some employees tend to be standing around since there's not much to do. 4. I understand that this store sells a lot of china in the region. Decent selection on site. read more

There is a reason Macy's is having to close stores. While i was trying to purchase a necklace I could not find someone behind the jewelry counter. The employees had roped off the entire counter to restock. I finally found an employee in juniors who was taking way too long checking out another customer. (Way too much talking and not enough scanning of merchandise.) This was after we had already made a loop around the entire sales floor looking for an employee to check us out. After waiting on line behind ONE customer we finally put down the jewelry and left. read more

This review is specifically for the Sunglass Hut inside this Macy's. My girlfriend and I have been there a few times and every time we go, they give us exceptional customer service! There is a store manager named Stephen who is often there helping customers and he is always very friendly, extremely helpful, and he always offers to clean our glasses. He really goes above and beyond when it comes to customer service. I don't usually write reviews but I really wanted to share the positive experiences I've had with Stephen and this Sunglass hut. This sunglass hut is by far the best one I've been to, and it's far better than the other ones in this mall. If you're looking to get some new sunglasses, I HIGHLY recommend stopping here first. My son and I went in to buy a suit - for an impromptu occasion. We met the most callous and condescending salesclerk by the name of Barbara. Apparently, the woman is considered a "manager" of one of the departments or something. She didn't appear that she wanted to help us with our selections and when we had decided to purchase a pair of shoes - we had to walk it over to another section of the department so that we could pay for said shoes. Apparently, Barbara believes that some customers like to walk out without paying for shoes. I have no idea how she derives at deciding exactly what customers do not pay for shoes - does she decide by height? Weight? Hair length? Maybe by the style of shirts customers wear? Stripes? Polka Dots? Or I wonder if it could be..NO!...by the color of one's skin --- or being that we were with two of my son's college age friends....maybe Barbara is an agist? I'm sure anyone who would ever want to get inside her head - which maybe absolutely...no one...would ever be able to tell. Let's just say that it was all a very unnecessary experience for us - seeing that we were already in the process of buying approximately $700.00 worth toward my son's suit. At that point, I felt that we should have got our refund and walked out of the store. But, lo' and behold! We ran into the store manager - but not before being accosted by another worker from the store - whom I'm sure Barbara sicced on us before we got to the exit. So, along comes "young master" who asks us if we paid for our shoes. I was so flabbergasted at the inquiry. Not only was it the SECOND time we had been asked; but "young master" was breathing heavily and sweating when he reared around a corner...somewhat panting. I couldn't decide if he was running FOR Barbara or running FROM Barbara. I told "young master" that if he and Barbara had been attentive to their customers' needs - that maybe they would have a slight grasp on what transactions had taken place under their noses. I sent "young master" back to the "B" and that was that. The store manager apologized for the disgusting behavior of her employees. Nonetheless...me thinks we'll do our shopping elsewhere from here on. PS Barbara and her "young master" hang out in the shoe section. Go figure. These were the LEAST helpful places throughout the entire store. "Young Master" even turned his back on us and acted as if he did not see us...while Barbara pretended that we didn't exist while stabbing at an unknown object behind her cash register while taking side long glances at us. Hmmmmm...... I guess she doesn't think that sitting down trying shoes on...in front of shoes...means people want to buy shoes. The store manager had to call her over to help us with the shoes! WOW! Maybe they need to retire the "Barbara Model"... read more

Someone please explain to me why I can walk thru the perfume section and have half a dozen people more than happy to hose me down with over bearing strong perfume but you have to work to find someone to get shoes!!! I love Macy's. The shoe department sales can't be beat and the cute kids' clothes are a step up from big box pink and blue. You'll find a lot more colors offered for both boys and girls. I love being able to find neutrals and bright colors for my daughter that go beyond pink! My other favorite department is the fine jewelry counter. I don't know why the have the prices so high, everything is always on sale so you have to ask what's the best price. The items in the red boxes will be the best deals that week. The staff is very helpful about knowing when sales are coming and will Lesley you know your best options to buy. I think the woman's clothing could be updated a bit, but know that's not a local store decision. I think Macy's is struggling to reinvent themselves after the department store model is weakening. One thing about Macy's is you'll always find a staff member to help you and they have multiple registers open so purchasing isn't a massive line. read more
