I have always been an Old Navy girl, and now with a baby it is even more dangerous for me to enter their doors. From their various discount racks to their very cute season clothes I always have an excuse to spend $100 everytime I walk in this store. This store follows the standard Old Navy layout, so it was very easy to find what I was looking for.  While browsing other items, I encountered an employee and commented on some dresses she was working near. We had a good conversation about the pros and cons. She was very friendly. When I checked out, I discovered Old Navy does not have plain bags without handles.  I had a single item, so it seemed silly to get a sturdy handled bag, especially since it would just be recycled.  The employee and I compromised by letting me carry out my item in my own bag. read more

DO NOT buy gifts for others from Old Navy!!! They are AWFUL if gifts are needing to be returned! I spent hundreds in their store this Christmas. When some of the items had to be returned (due to them not fitting), Old Navy denied the return and furthermore tied the denial to their photo ID, making innocent people feel like criminals. They suggested either asking for the actual receipt or filing a claim through "The Retail Equation." I will not be spending any more of my money here and suggest you do the same!!! read more

This Old Navy store had been closed for quite a while due to fire. They moved a few doors down while the renovations were going on but they are now back in their original spot. This particular Old Navy is in a very busy area which can be good or bad, depending on who you are. It is in a strip mall that has a Wal-Mart, Rack Room Shoes, Sally's Beauty Supply, Einstein Brothers and many other stores. So if you want to do a lot of shopping in a very short time, you won't mind how busy it is. The store is completely remodeled so it looks very nice on the inside. The clientele is decent. It seems there may not be enough employees so if you have a question, it may take some time to find someone to help you. There is almost always a long line at the register unless you go in the middle of the week while everyone else is working so make sure you're not in a hurry. My opinion of Old Navy in general in the last few years has changed. I used to always find nice clothes there...really nice dresses. But it seems the quality has gone down a bit. I have gone in the store several times to find tops or dresses but have come up short. I still wear clothes I bought many years ago from there and still get compliments so I'm disappointed that the quality has gone down. read more

I understand peoples hatred for Old Navy. The clothes suck, the jeans give you mom butt, and you end up looking ridiculous in most of their "in season" stuff. However, let me tell you about the silver lining, Old Navy's workout stuff is BOMB, tank top sales are GLORIOUS, and they have HOLIDAY WEAR! The workout clothes are ridiculously comfortable and breathable. They look like they would show all of your goods, but when you bend over you can see NOTHING. Whoever decided workout clothes should become invisible when you bend over should be shot, what do I look like to you? A yogastripper? Well, you can rest your Kim K butt assured that it will be held in place and none of your goods will be visible to the weird breathing yogis or joggers behind you. I even took the time to ask my SO if he could see my butt when I bent over, he replied, "of course I can see your butt.." however he did not see any butt crack! WIN! Secondly, I love ribbed racer back tank tops. I'm not sure what it is about them, but I think they are a staple in my wardrobe. I can wear them under sweaters, I can wear them when I work out, I can wear them with shorts, with jeans, in a bus, on a truck, in a maze, on a cave, you get the idea. Usually, I buy them from Victoria Secret, but Old Navy was having a sale on tank tops, so I decided I should just stock up on a few even if they don't fit the way I like it's still just tank tops. So, $4 for racer back tanks, and I'm in love. They're longer than VS's teas, they're softer, and they were $4 a PIECE! That's right all you fools paying $10-25 on a tank top I got mine for FOUR dollars. Even if they last half as long as my other ones it's only FOUR dollars down the drain not more. Lastly, Old Navy is like the most festive place on earth. Oh, you need the American flag on a shirt for the 4th of July? We got you covered. Oh, you need light up shirts for christmas? Here's ten different choices! Hows about them ugly Halloween shirts? WE GOT EM! I can never not be festive because I only have to spend like $5-10 on a festive shirt to be set for YEARS! So, for most things Old Navy is not my cup of tea, or anyones. However, when the sales hit, or you need to get back in shape, this is the place to get the basics for ridiculously cheap. read more

As a family man with kids, kids outgrow clothes as fast as water comes out the faucet. You can always go back here re-up for a decent price. The prices are reasonable and the quality is good. The kids love the clothes too. read more

Old Navy is not my cup of tea. I went with a friend who was really excited to be headed there, but I was just along for the ride. I was curious, since I had never been to an Old Navy before, so I wandered all around while she excitedly stocked up on multiple items of clothing. The store itself was a mess, with many of the displays in disarray, clothing strewn around and needing to be re-folded or re-hung. There were mobile racks all around, so I guess that's how they normally display things? Seemed tacky to me, and potentially hazardous. Staff were scarce and when found, rude. The clothes themselves seem to be of poor quality, so the low prices are hardly a mystery - when you have to replace your $7 t-shirt every month, they end up making a fortune from you. I will admit I bought two baby presents there - it was shortly after a particular holiday and they had cute baby clothes on sale. They were very cheap and a baby will only need clothes for about a month anyway, so I succumbed. I certainly don't begrudge anyone for spending their clothing dollars there - especially if you have kids - but I don't see myself going back any time soon. read more

Clothing selection is great. Fresh new styles. Fashion for all sizes. They make me move out of my comfort zone sometimes with all their linen-type clothing. I'm not a fan of the baby clothes or the men's clothes. baby clothes should ALWAYS be stretchy. Babies and toddlers are like little contortionists. They need comfort over fashion every day of the week. I love the athletic section as well as their fashion jewelry as well. They usually have great sales going on that save save save. read more

Clothing items were strewn about the store, there seemed to be little organization to the store and while not the store or manager's fault, there were kids running rampant through the store throwing footballs, pulling clothes off the racks and leaving them on the floor. Old Navy has good clothing for a decent price. Nothing new there. The Albuquerque/San Mateo location, however, has enough for me to write a review about. This one's going to be about "location, location, location," and this store's not in a great one. Yes, its in the middle of a strip mall with lots of other money-taking stores around it. Yes, lots of customers frequent it... my beef is with the parking and general set-up. For a five-minute "I gotta run in and get *one* thing," it took around 20 minutes. Finding parking, getting through the (mess of a) store, and having to deal with disinterested employees (is there a factory that is creating these employees en masse?) Bottom Line: The clothes are decent quality for the price. I haven't been inundated with their annoying ads in a decade or so; so I actually don't mind shopping there... when I can get a spot. read more

I have not been in Old Navy in a while, especially this location. I went in looking for something specific and was unsuccessful. Most of their clothes are not the best quality, so I guess it's lucky for them that styles are always changing. How is it that on a weekend they only have one or two cashiers? Not the best idea. It's been some time since I've visited an Old Navy store, and I have to say their customer service strategy is a losing one. First, there isn't a single mirror in the store outside of the dressing rooms. That means even if you want to try on a hat you have to go to the dressing room. Once you do, they ask you your name and write it on the door, and then tell you their name, as if you were at a restaurant. "Hi, I'm John. I'll be your clothier today." Well, he doesn't actually say that, but you get my drift. Then the cashiers act like they have all the time in the world and are chatty to their friends even though there's a line of customers waiting. This store clearly needs to appoint an adult to be in charge. read more
