The last time I visited, his store was on Wyoming/Montgomery. The store had a lot to offer my company. They happily browsed through the isles. I was impressed with his stock, it was clean, and it was well organized. The owner started to check us out, but his grandson came to relieve him, so he finished the transaction. They were both friendly and knowledgeable about chiles. He also roasts chiles when in season. We found the perfect ristra. We'll be back.

I was able to get a couple nice things for myself as well as a great gift for a friend back home who dog sat my furry companion. The store is pretty big and virtually every inch has something interesting to consider buying. I wish the online store featured more of the items actually sold in store because I'd probably buy a cactus for myself after seeing the one I bought my friend. The salesperson also gave us some tips on where to visit while we were in the area. She was really friendly and a great resource for us. If you only get a chance to visit one gift shop in the area I'd say this one is your best bet!

I just love shopping at local places and I loved our gift so much that I had to go and get one for my friends who were visiting from out of state. As soon as I opened the door I was greeted with a warm welcome from the person behind the register. I walked through the quaint little shop and just fell in love with everything. What made us stop was the Native American pottery and the glassware. While some pottery is mass produced and geared for the tourist trade there is a huge selection of one off, individualized pieces. Living here has made us discerning consumers of pottery. The other piece was the glassware. It comes from Makora Glass in Poland. The Shop at Old Town offers the largest selection in the US. It even comes with a satisfaction guarantee. If it doesn't fit your decor it be returned. The glassware is beautiful for see and I can imagine even nicer in the right decor. We have to find a place and color for ours. We were impressed will be back to add to our collection of pottery. If you get to Old Town adding this place to your list is a requirement.

The things that stood out as unique here was the large selection of Pendleton made blankets and clothing with Native American patterns. There is almost an overwhelming amount of items here so it's good if you like browsing. The staff also knows a lot so if you have questions or are looking for a specific item you can ask away. You can also ask for a discount and haggle the prices if you think it's too much. My friend accidentally broke a Kachina doll that was already slightly broken, he felt bad and requested we come back right before our flight so he could pay for it. Staff was very kind and gave him a massive discount. He has it proudly displayed at his home now!

The artist who buys and creates for this store is Candice Carnes-- I had the pleasure of meeting her mom while I browsed. Anytime I see the words 'infinite' and 'curiosities' in the same sentence I am excited, and this shop did not disappoint. Candice has a good eye and is a talented buyer for this store-- there are quite a few novelty pocket watches. I bought a Harry Potter snitch locket watch that I just really adore. The shopkeeper found a ribbon for me to put it on since I am allergic to most metals. I also found a cool silk fish windsock. Many of the items here are made by Carnes and include funky jewelry and Christmas ornaments made from old motherboards. Jewelry made from old buttons and charms. Necklaces of frozen Charlottes-- vintage porcelain baby dolls dug up from the toy factory years later. Her designs feature creepy and wonderful baby doll eyes that open and close. I called Plaza and spoke with Sandra who then gave me her cell number, I sent her photos of the ornament. She found the same ornament and we did the transaction over the phone and I received the new ornament in a week. Sandra went above and beyond ordinary customer service!
