    Gettin' ready for a GCC...
    Jeff B.

My ol' high school buddy surprised me at Christmas with a gift box from this place. I live 5 states away to the North, and enjoying New Mex cuisine is beyond a rarity for me. All the products I've tried have been great. Are they exactly like I would experience in NM? No, of course, but they have been a treat for my palate. And I do say 'MY' tastebuds, because the tenderfoots around me are too timid to even try. Their hatch chile sauce has made nice GCCs for me, and been umami on omelets. Their posole mix is fabulous. Wicked hot, and made a lot, so I canned most of it to enjoy throughout the year. Hot sauce has great flavor, and you better be darned careful sprinkling their Green Chile seasoning powder on anything (woah!). I will spare you all pictures of my creations, but I know for sure that next time I go to visit my buddy I'll be bringing back more of their products home...

Driving from Miami Fl to San Francisco this is a must stop for me to get my hatch craving. This trip I said screw it and picked up a 25lb bag and yes it's riding with me all the way and then will fly back once I drop off this vehicle. I'm so excited Albert stayed late and waited for me to show up because I was hung up on I-40 for half a day. He's one cool cat to chat with too. U will not be disappointed here

Good selection of salsas and chiles. However, they need much bigger bags of the blue corn tortilla chips.

We already get our annual sack of roasted green chile from them and highly recommend that as well.

    Old Town

With only one day in ABQ, I knew the top thing I needed to see was Old Town!! Even after asking a…read morefew locals what they would do in the city, they all mentioned this area. Old Town oozes charm and culture. You can visit a historic chapel, roam the many cute shops or grab something to eat at one of the restaurants. There's a lot of really interesting Native American keepsakes and art to check out as well. You also never know what could be going on here - I happened to stumble into a quincenera and visited around Day of the Dead, so there was some really neat decor all around. If there's anything you must do in this city, it's Old Town!!

My friend had a bunch of Native American shops bookmarked and they were all in this general area so we came to do multiple things at the same time. The shops here are closer to the reservation with lots of Native American artists so it is much more affordable than the same thing in Santa Fe. It is a bit touristy but we are tourists so we enjoyed it. Many shops had unique items that were hard to find and even though it was mainly for show I loved seeing the dried chili everywhere. The area has legit history and age and it was great being able to see and do so much without moving our car. Parking was easy and from the town square you can get to many different shops, restaurants, and attractions. The church was a nice fast stop, but I liked the exterior more than the interior. The vibe and architecture are perfect American Southwest and we enjoyed our time here. There was also a Pokemon card shop I grabbed some cards for the kids from!
