It was cool getting to see them roasting fresh chile and the band that played was soo much fun! The best booth for us was Dancing Turtle Studio. Absolutely stunning pieces of art and my guy bought me one of the hot air balloon pieces to commemorate our 1st anniversary. It honestly couldn't have been more perfect! The artist herself was incredibly sweet and wonderful to talk with. It was amazing getting to hear about her process as well!

Located in a charming neighborhood where some residents have livestock and grapevines in their yards! Plentiful parking in the lot or on the street made coming here extremely helpful. IYKYK how I am about parking lol! I found the vendors and people shopping here extremely friendly. I purchased locally grown apples (that are crisp & tart, yet sweet!), eggplant, carrots, treats for my doggo, Pueblo bread, more bread and savory selections from a delightful French pastry chef, some trinkets, jams, honey, a gorgeous wreath, a breakfast quiche, and more!!! Yes, I boosted the economy in Los Ranchos! You have the opportunity to visit for the next two Saturdays till 11.9.24 before the regular season closes! Also please support these wonderful vendors at their Winter market on 12.14.24 to do some holiday shopping. Other winter market dates are in 1.11, 2.8, 3.8 & 4.12.2025. The farmers here took a great deal of pride in their produce. Beans, chili (roasted on site), dried corn, squashes, ristras and more. Fresh and homegrown! What could be better? The vendors were very friendly and gave cooking ideas and big smiles. If there are any negatives, I'll begin with knocking the State! They are not allowed to sell arts and crafts. What the What?!? Any tourist or local would EXPECT to see authentic wares at this market, like you do at any other. You won't here. What gives? It's not the largest market I've seen but I'll go back to my last point; if you allowed selling arts/crafts you'd see more stands and people. I'll also say that I've been past there on my way to Santa Fe countless times since it's opened in 2001 and never knew it was there. They need better advertising on the highway to get people to stop in. Make it a point to visit sometime.

There were perhaps…read more30-40 vendors at a market, most of them produces, food, edible items, with less non-edible items. My friend really liked the the ambiance around the market. It's not too big and parking is relatively easy to find when we stopped by around 8-9am on a Saturday (we parked near the railyard station and there were plenty of (paid) street parking. But by the time we were back from the market, all the spots were filled up already). My friend got paintings from a vendor at Santa Fe Plaza the day prior to our visit to the railyard...and the next day ran into the same vendor again at Railyard market...so he bought more paintings from them and we had a good chat with them about their paintings! Overall, a great place to stop by. I don't suppose I would come here to shop for my groceries to get everything there at this market...but it's a good place to get a nice feel of Santa Fe, take visitors to see another side of Santa Fe, and take photos perhaps with the Santa Fe Market tall structure with Santa Fe Railyard name on it and with roadrunner train cabins nearby the station for sure.
