It was a hot day so I was drinking beers that leaned on the more crispy side. I visited this place a couple times before when I was going to shows at the music venues on the same block. Just a great location for that and a solid selection of beers each time. The folks here have always been very friendly as well. I was so excited to try Homage as I've heard great things about this brewery! When I arrived they only had a few beers as most of their kegs kicked over the weekend. I'll definitely go back and give it a second chance as most of the beers they had weren't my style. The service was great, the vibe was vibing, a cute little place for a date night, or pregame before going to a concert or the paradox or something. Today on November 12th I went to buy a pretzel and was met with negativity and attitude. The moment I got there I was greeted by nobody and I saw the pretzel stand a mess. The glass was greasy the work station was messy and I saw into the kitchen and it was somehow worse than the stand. When I called over the worker to order she looked at me like I was a nuisance. I asked if I could order and she scoffed at me. After ordering it took several minutes to even get my pretzel and when given my pretzel she gave it to me with such attitude I left without saying thank you. I don't think I'll be returning since the customer service was subpar. The pretzel was a bit burnt too.

My wife and I ordered the Bratwurst Plates ($9.50) which came with a choice of one of three types of brats, 2 sides, and bread or bun. The brats were delicious and super flavorful; however, the sides were only "okay". The sauerkraut was on the sweet side, with no acidity, the warm German potato salad seemed to be missing something, pickles and mustard, maybe, and the macaroni salad was mayo heavy. This could all be personal preference, but I've had better. I did love the meat, cheese, and pastry cases and the store portion. We picked up some veal brats, rye bread, and other German goodies (red cabbage and crispy pickles) to take home. They have German greeting cards and all kinds of other sundries. I would stop in again when in the area and try something else off the menu. Definitely pick up some German goodies to bring home to my kitchen.

It's $3 per ride, which includes a kid's meal coupon for Wetzel's Pretzels, or you can get the 10-ride stamp card for $20. The stamp card is a better value, especially if you plan to take the kiddos as often as I take mine. You can purchase tickets at the General Information booth near the train and water fountain.
