I have never had a bad pretzel from wetzel's until today at this location. I got a pretzel to split with my two kids and it was hard either over cooked or stale from sitting too long! My youngest kid almost finished his piece and my other kid said this doesn't taste good it's hard so I tried my piece and it was not good! So I bring it to the manager and let her know it's hard and not good she looks in the bag and says you ate the majority of it and I say there's half a pretzel in there if you don't want to give me another then don't and she rolls her eyes at this point I don't even want another pretzel but she gets me another one and it's exactly the same hard and does not taste good so i throw it in the trash on the way out... no wonder this location only has 2 stars horrible service and food... anyone reading this do yourself a favor and go to the other location up on the second floor of the mall they always have good pretzels read more

I don't think these people are trained because the cashier didn't know how to put sauces onto our order and it got to the point where she wanted me to do two transactions and needed help from a manager to put things in and what should've been a two second transaction turned into a 10 minute festival. read more

Horrible service unless you speak Spanish. The mini hot dogs were grey and hard. They barely dipped half of my pretzel in the sour cream powder and the mini pizza bites had been sitting out since at least noon (it's 6:30 now). 4 girls behind the counter, 2 registers open with 1 girl at each register. The next register is free, we go to it and the lady behind the counter can't even be bothered to raise her head. She started counting her drawer and instead pointed us to the next register who had already started to help the person behind us. Garbage, garbage garbage. I tried to file a complaint online but their entire website is inaccessible. I was able to leave a message with corporate because my wife spotted their phone number on the bag. It's after 6 on a Friday, so I won't expect a call until Monday, but you can be sure I'll be blowing them up daily until they address my concerns. I hate to do this but the manger or supervisor at this location was extremely rude, I had purchase a pepperoni pretzel and two small lemonades. The pepperoni pretzel was super hard and it looked like it was sitting there all day. Today was my worst experience. There were 4 women behind the counter and 2 registers. There was a line that had formed. When the person in front of me stepped away I stepped closer to the register and the cashier kept her head pointed straight down, ignoring me for several moments and pulled out all the singles from her drawer and starts counting! This is for the location by Nordstroms. Every time I go to this place I promise you it never fails that the workers are the most amazing people ever. The location manager (she has reddish pink hair) hella dope. The assistant manager isn't as nice its almost like he's miserable being there cause he's always so stand offish and a little pushy with the workers when they are doing a great job. Damn, y'all are hating on good ol' Wetzel's for the wrong reasons. If you were looking for non-syrup-based, fresh squeezed lemonade, why were you trying to find it at a shopping mall pretzel stand? Anyway, in my 22 years of Wetzel's patronage, I've tried nearly everything on the menu and I've never had a problem. I usually go for just a classic, salted pretzel with cheese dip and mustard and I'm good. Sometimes I'll go with the Wetzel Bits for the convenience. Sometimes I'll cheat on Ms. Wetzel with Auntie Anne, but Wetzel's will always come out on top. I used to frequent UCLA to visit my friends and my favorite part about their campus was the Wetzel's Pretzels in the Ackerman food court. I was at this location on 5/14/2016.I walked in and saw that all the the employee's were hispanic and they was talking to each other in spanish so i smiled and said Hola that means hello in spanish.They turned around and saw that i didn't look like i was from their race and they all ignored me they didn't say hola or hello. Their attitudes made me fell like i should not be speaking spanish to them if i was not from their race. They had no idea what my nationality is unless they assumed what it is based on my skin color.There are many other nationalities that speak spanish that don't look like them. Cubans,Dominicans,Panamanians and many others. When you are at work and you are speaking a foreign language you should not get offended if your customers speaks to you in the foreign language that you are speaking in.I stood there for a few second while they decided who was going to help the American customer WOW unbelievable this is the Montclair Mall in California. First of all I never liked going to that location people there are not welcoming, anyways I normally go to the bottom location near nordstroms but this time I decided to go to this location just because I didn't want to walk all the way to the other side which I now regret it! That's what I get for being lazy. Anyways so I go I'm a mall employee on my lunch break & i place my order. I ask for my mall employee discount & this "lady" looks at me and ask where do you work...so then I told her exactly where I worked & she stares at me up and down & says do you have proof or something showing that you work there. So I look in my handbag to see if I have my name tag & I didn't have it so I tell her you know what it's okay I'll pay in full. So then this "lady" has the odyssey to talk to her employees in Spanish right in front of me & another customer behind me pretty much talking crap! Little did she know I spoke Spanish! I walked away calmly I then came back with my name badge & I asked an employee who was the manager here... & she pointed to the "lady" who helped me unfortunately it was her! So I then told her "here's my name badge next time don't start speaking Spanish in front of others, you will be hearing from me soon" & I walked away. It's so disrespectful on how can a "manager" do that! Your a "manager" your suppose to be a role model! She shouldn't be allowed to even have that position!
